I wonder if he has some useful contacts from his previous roles that he can now call upon to help move the team and club forward... "We will be applying policies to our football team, commercial operations, financial structures, community work and fan communications which ensure that we run as a first-in-class football club and business."
-
The only thing to moan about was that fact he should have ****ed off sooner! The clock is ticking and we only want those commited to nullifying the 10 point penalty as quickly as possible and then climbing up the table. Having these interruptions from players leaving is not helping put footballing plans into action. Players joining don't help but at least they have come in to the club knowing the situation and willing to help.

He will be starting games this year. It will be interesting to see how he takes to the Premier League.

As well as the TV money being the main income, they are competing against other more glamorous sides close by and it's always cheaper up north!

Is SaintsTV coming back with live commentary this season?

I may log in sometime over the w/e to see what it says... then I'll definitely be ITK! -
Good news... AL is an intelligent footballer, plenty of skill and good passer. Needs to work on his shooting the most! Pardew will make him into a decent prospect as long as he puts in the graft.

I've had an e-mail (regarding saintstv and renewal) :-) But haven't read it yet... been too busy with work :-( -
AP looking to appoint assistant and staff soon
Doctoroncall replied to Wildgoose's topic in The Saints
The problem was the guy didn't shout and swear enough at the team, he was to Wenger-esq in his approach! It was a fun program to watch. -
Indeed, back in the days when numbers where first introduced the formation was 2-3-5 with the full backs having the numbers 2 (right) and 3 (left), the centre half (now a centre back) having number 5, between the other two half backs (4 and 6). When the centre half moved back to the defensive line, his number went with him, so with a 4-4-2 it became (from right to left): 2 5 6 3 7 4 8 11 9 10

I think you maybe over analysing the quotes. Considering how long it takes to negotiate with another club first then be able to talk to the player compared to the potential targets that are free seems to be an important factor. So far there has only been a handful of players bought in League One, with tens of free players signed up. Also it maybe to early to plan for seasons beyond the current one when he's only been in the job for four days. The transfer window closes at the end of August, I think then we can sit back and see what type of season we can expect given the new signings.

Limited but gives a few stats and has links to actim... http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/StatsIndex/0,,10794,00.html

Last season's total goals for League One was about 150 more goals than the previous couple of seasons of around 1350 in League One. Based on the past three seasons, the averages are League One is 1412 and the CCC is 1394.

Like Barcelona then... ;-)

I thought AP prefers to play a 4-5-1 so there may not be much 4-4-2 talk on here!

Racon is well thought of at Charlton. If him or Bailey were to leave there would be uproar at the Valley!

He played 40 odd games the year Leeds got to the play-offs, it was last season that he hardly played, probably due to Grayson coming in. If he's a Pulis replacement then OK I can see that as an improvement taking into account his reckless challenges and woeful positional sense, but I'm sure there are other players available and I'm not talking EPL/CCC players as they are out of reach. What about the Knightlys, Gowers, Pratelys, Mackell-Smiths, Boyds, Mattocks, Togwells etc, etc.

so... all we are going to do is buy is failed league one team's cast offs... lol
