  1. At least he does have some league experience although limited. An experienced CB is still a must have. Whether someone like that is out there for Saints to buy is looking remote and while JPS has his faults I'd take him above Thomas and Lancashire.
  2. on the 20th... my birthday!
  3. They still have to win games though and I'm not convinced that Hart will do that, I can see plenty of draws though.
  4. too late and I've put a curse on these... Fleur de Lion 16.20 Brighton Joss Stick 17.20 Brighton EW Brave Prospector 13.45 York EP 14.15 York Invincible Isle 19.30 Notts EW Insolence 18.30 Notts
  5. unless they are replacements.
  6. They will have to be paid by who ever buys the club. It may take a while depending on various issues, but they would be paid in full, unlike the St John's.
  7. A good shout if it wasn't for his I'm bigger and better than Coventry attitude problems. This is probably why he hasn't gone to a club by now.
  8. I was coming from the 'other' side that I knew huddersfield were a good side, have an astute manager who bought well over the summer to compliment the team that ended last season so well. TBH, I was expecting a defeat although by the sounds of it not helped by a **** poor performance.
  9. Seek legal advice asap. I don't have any experience or knowledge of legal affairs like this, only the story told to me by a neighbour: He has an elderly mother whose garden backs onto the co-op shop in the village where she lives. The co-op decided to build an extention (without permission) and some of it was built on her land (the aircon unit for the chillers I think). That was two to three years ago and there has only just been a resolution (in her favour) after much work.
  10. Let's see what AP can do, he's had a difficult ask having missed out on valuable prepaation time already but at the moment I'm not too concerned, however, come the end of the month if there are no additions or only squad type players added, my worry beads will be out. I would be interested as to the impact the loss of Cox has made to Swindon, considering they have limited striker options.
  11. Sorry to be naive but what is 'Kyle Culture'? I'm also at a loss as to how the leap of calling someone a skate in recounting a story when not all facts are known has led to the social ills of society today. As the Pompey girl isn't around to give her side of the meeting, we don't know if she is psychologically traumatised in some way or didn't give it a second thought. It's not like it's some study on conformity!
  12. Yes, the team needs 4-5 additions, to make it compete at the top of this league, we not there yet and we'll have to wait and see if we get those players in this month. Fortunately Swindon are down bottom end of the table with us and can be beat.
  13. Indeed, the stench when we left the airport from Delhi was horrendous and we wondered what it was until we saw a bloke squatting down on a peice of wasteland to do his duty. Having said that India is a great place and would happily go again (but not the wasteland part)!
  14. maybe waiting for his bonus... http://www.business24-7.ae/Articles/2009/8/Pages/14082009/08152009_fe4f2c78a8d348378a8f3c1b5c78d339.aspx
  15. If she's willing to be unfaithful now what's going to stop her next time?
  16. Cork had first team experience at S****horpe and Bournemouth Potter had played in Liverpools first team - started 6 and sub in 7. I don't what to dampened people's optimism of players and the hcdajfu effect, but some prespective needs to be applied if we want to get out of this league as quickly as possible.
  17. OK Pancake, I'll simplify for you - being on the fringes of the first team means **** all. We are getting a reserve team player and a youngster at that. Maybe I've seen too many young reserve players failure when put in the first team so my expectations of his impact on the team is low at the moment.
  18. I would have preferred it if he actually got a game or two at that level as "on the fringes" still means that he was and is a reserve team player only. Let's hope he is better than the loans we had last season, which shouldn't be too difficult but at the same time I don't think it fair to build him up too much before he has a few games under Pardew.
  19. Nicknamed the snake...
  20. Looks like a utility player to cover/put on subs bench for the first teamers.
  21. and Forecast signed a four year deal!
  22. I'm surprised no one has suggest he's going to score against us, being an ex-player! Thought he was good for us, not sure what he can offer a premier team now apart from being a squad player if I'm honest.
  23. Yes see Alain's response re Charlton. At least his faults (positioning/marking/diving in) could be worked on with a bit of coaching, not something that could be done with Lancashire, who needs games to help progress. The Blackpool penalty was soft but the fact he went in on the wrong side didn't help.
  24. Part of the problem with the NHS is government interference with constant change of policy WITHOUT consultantion with those on the ground. Just when a new policy is established a new minister wants to put their mark on the way the NHS is run. Did anyone see the "Can Gerry Robinson fix the NHS programmes"? A great insight to where money is wasted and the power struggle of NHS Trusts: http://www.open2.net/nhs/index.html sorry this is off topic but thought there was genuine interest.
