Maybe he just finished his shift?

Posted on another thread by Saint John: Radio Solent said this morning that the Saints Fans Forum is on Monday 21st Sept at 19:00 at St Marys. NO ticket is necessary this year, just turn up. NC, AP and KD will be present. John p.s. I wonder if the nutter who usually sits in the 2nd row and asks the 1st question about "how wonderful rupert is" will be there this year ? Edit: Although it states tickets available, it's limited to the first 500 who turn up on the night.

And I think this episode shows how bad RL could truly mess things up. I would say there were a fair few who bought into the idea of how SCW's non-football training methods could improve the non-footballing skills of the team like he did with the rugby team but the duo of Clifford* and Woodward ended up as an expensive joke. *The bizarre appointment of Clifford ranks as high as the Ali Dia saga IMO.

Well I have put a bet on Saints to win against Charlton. Does that make up for it?

Interesting, as there seems to have been periods of stability (off and on the pitch) for those clubs except Saints who lurched from one disaster to another. Charlton lost Curbs and went into decline from appointing a manager not equipped to survive the Premier League and bought badly. At least they stuck by Parkinson and kept hold of the squad that started to pick up towards the end of last season. Norwich have had changes to their management, also having many loan players but nothing as serve as us in both respects, something they changed when buying players this summer.

He's a winger that can play up front.

Generally agree and hope DW can address the team play with AP, although a bit more pace upfront wouldn't go amiss.
-
A shame it wasn't the first ingredient as you can never underestimate what team spirit can add to the team performance. Onwards and upwards.

I don't think it's the goalscoring forwards we should be worrying about. It's making the gilt-edge chances from a midfield which lacks cohesion to do that or score any goals. Agreed.

At least they try to authenticate the Darwins... http://www.darwinawards.com/darwin/

There are not many players in this league that can be really called £1m players, but it's what you are prepared to pay for them. Considering the dysfunctional strike force we had it was a worthy effort to bring last season's league one top scorer into the side. I think it's a bit early to throw in the towel or show your frustration when we haven't seen the full extent of the squad and we've only dropped a point from 20th place (safety) since the start of the season. If after another 8 or 9 games we are struggling for results and/or performance, then I'll start to panic about relegation like you. But at the moment things have improved. I have followed Danny's website for a few years as the reports are always well written and with a great sense of humour. I would have posted it earlier but I've been away. http://www.htfc-world.com/ Danny said he'll try to be down for the return fixture at SMS so hopefully the jokes will be on the Huddersfield players in that report.

A bit like thinking what you would do with the lottery winnings being a very long shot, but it's still nice to dream about it.
-
Possibly, but signing new players doesn't mean an immediate turn around. If things don't improve this month, I'll be worried.
-
It doesn't look like mind but then writing on someone's back on a Saints shirt compared to a 2 inch plastic pack would look different.
-
Silly boy, first for doing it and second for putting in the public domain! I wonder how many other players have done this?
-
It depends on how much of Lambert's team set up he likes. At least we have some inside info against the opposition this time from Hammond, so I'll go for a home win.
-
A draw, unless Wotton or Lancs play then a loss.
-
I was only thinking about this this afternoon as to who would be out of contract at the end of the season or heading for the retirement home. It doesn't look good with so many potential changes to the first team squad.

At least you saw it.

Why Roger had to go and win the world champs for the Czechs remains a mystery. Still, well done Roger for pulling it off! I'll get my coat.

Who remembers Jarmila Kratochvílová in the 1980s, there were suspicions about her...

unlike Norwich last season! The fact whether a player is a loan or not shouldn't matter, it's getting the right player in that counts to make the team work well on the pitch.
