  1. Just a check when you say research - do you mean google search, watch videos on social media and what my neighbour heard type of research or the research where you compile a literature review and write a summary on each article? Or alternatively a random sample of sources and perform independent analysis on the reported results? For each article will you look into the source (the author, journal, funder and organisation the author belongs to). Will you ask yourself why this source might publish these particular results? Did you follow the trail of references and apply the same source of scrutiny to them?
  2. I think it comes down to priorities and the prices why there wasn’t further development.
  3. Indeed. We were after him. ☹️
  4. I’m not the font of all knowledge (or belief) like Colin so take this a conspiracy theory. Since the emergence of the Delta variant which is highly infectious and the relaxing of rules either by the government, organisations or personal responsibility the virus has spread dramatically. Fortunately a high proportion of people have been vaccinated but that doesn’t stop those vaccinated from catching it and spreading it. More people need to be vaccinated to help reduce the number of hospitalisations and deaths which the vaccine has been shown can help reduce. End of conspiracy theory.

  6. An isolated case which may not hold if replicated many times but an interesting tale.
  7. The common sense MPs have released their manifesto to combat liberalism: https://www.thecommonsensegroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/Common-Sense.pdf as a group, they are becoming more influential in the Tory party. it’s all common sense really!
  8. Now the South American market has opened up, it could be an good opportunity. Seems to have some good synergies in the way we used to do things regarding research, support and recruitment.
  9. I would request a second opinion as a “brain” wouldn’t be seen by X-ray. 😀
  10. We won't finish in the top four.
  11. Who with? A bit of a power vacuum for the opposition parties all being a bit pathetic and not featuring in the media.
  12. Five minutes to save their season and score a couple of goals. if they don’t make it, next season will be a tough with Sheffield Wednesday joining Ipswich, Charlton and a few other decent teams.
  13. All Indian G7 delegation self-isolating in London after two members test positive.
  14. Opinions wanted... Fans say on future of football
  15. Will Ralph be showing the motivational videos at half time?
  16. The Palace game is an odd one where they have a huge number of players that will be out of contract this summer, iirc something like 17 players! So many of the first team could be thinking about other things.
  17. Nile Ranger back at Southend... well kind of! Nile Ranger, who re-signed in February after being released owing to “recurring disciplinary issues” in 2018, sustained a groin injury 12 minutes into his comeback.
  18. The three sided die says: Tottenham (a) lose Leicester (h) lose Liverpool (a) draw Fulham (h) draw Leeds (h) draw Crystal Palace (h) win West Ham (a) win
  19. Depends if he wants to work again during those future years, that is generally why there is a compromise.
  20. Going out, so will say this now... oh bollôcks!!!
  21. The bubonic plague is still around and because of modern society (sanitation, pest control and drugs) the outbreaks are small and occur in less developed countries, otherwise there are the odd cases that can happen.
  22. The only place the 1918 H1N1 strain is around now is the lab.
  23. It's one thing having a style of play which is drilled in to the players pre-season onwards, but when it is countered by a team not willing to play the game so that Saints can play to their strengths, there is no point doing the same thing and expecting something different! It may not be plan B, but the need to expand the original style of play to include variations of play is required. Defensive teams are not going to chase the ball back when Saints recycle the ball, they stick to their plan (of two or three defensive lines).
  24. So given up on automatic promotion this season and focusing on sixth place and the last play-off spot.
  25. That Sarr fella at Watford is supposed to be good but doubt we have the budget for him or others unless there is a decent return on players going out. Watford also have a couple of decent right backs as well!
