  1. You better check your figures and see how many you got wrong... Season 16/17 the 17th place team got 40 points. If I overtake second place, am I in first?
  2. Lol A shame he didn’t share 30+ years ago. I’m sure his wife would have appreciated knowing back then. [emoji3]
  3. It was a surprised to me that he had a wife. I really thought he was gay.
  4. Only lasted 60 minutes.
  5. His comments and actions are only going to get worse when he’s elected for his second term. First impeached President to be re-elected.
  6. I wonder what the passing completion and key passing rates are like. Even perhaps number of through balls or assists per match are like. Stats more reflective of a player dictating play.
  7. Their new midfielder - Soucek, is a pretty handy footballer. Expect him to dictate the play a bit more in forthcoming matches while getting used to the rest of his team mates. He would have suited us (a player Hojbjerg should have been).
  8. Bloody hell. Football talk at work confession. I’m surprised HR weren’t called in to stop this! Fully expect the bin dippers to win by luck or a Friend. Ecstatic if we can get a draw, delirious with a win!
  9. That’s rather low. Normally it’s around 25-30 players in the squad. I think Mourinho likes 26 maximum. Harry Hamblin has gone to Macclesfield on a free. When did he sign for us?
  10. Let’s see now we know the price and gives us some time while scouting and finding prices of other targets with KWP as a benchmark.
  11. Can also include other clauses if they do well and a decent sell on percent when he inevitably leaves.
  12. The CL money certainly helped Leicester in record profits which were used to spend big on transfers and as you say, much of it wasted (so why change?), but still much less than United for the comparison. If you look at infrastructure investment of the two clubs which adds to the point (£100m over two years vs £100m over ten years), you’ll see a difference in focus.
  13. So what do we do with Alfie Jones, also 22. His contract is up in 18 months time?
  14. I just hope the board realise it’s far better (and cheaper) to get the structure in place and spend there rather than the speculative transfer fees on players. Compare Leicester to Man Utd, Brentford to Fulham, even Peterborough to the Skates, two different approaches, but it shows clubs can do well without breaking the bank on transfer expenditure.
  15. Tracking Jonathan David, as many clubs are... so he’ll end up elsewhere.
  16. Valery and Bednarek should be back for selection 01/02 according to Physioroom. So same back line as last game I’d guess. Maybe the club are trying to replicate the away game atmosphere with the increased Spurs allocation? We have done so well picking up away wins.
  17. It’s likely to be a combination, as players that could be in demand and not wanting to renew their contract with only a year or two left on it don’t leave the club much choice but to sell - money is required. Hopefully a few of those out on loan can be finally moved on and free up some wages even if a transfer fee is minimal. Then what will happen to players like Slattery? Loan out for game time, sell on or be part of the first team squad and get to play next season? I do wonder if there is some kind of first team plan or if it down to it is what it is!
  18. Depends on... when Hasenhüttl’s contract is up - will it get renewed this summer with a year left? What players leave this summer. What players return this summer.
  19. Definitely not investment in hospitals. The opposite in fact. Don’t forget Blair was the one that expanded PFI after Major introduced it. It has cost the NHS £250 billion in PFI debt for all projects worth £55 billion - the interest rates for PFI agreements are obscenely high. One hundred NHS hospitals were built with PFI money at an original cost of £11.5 billion. In the end, they will cost the tax payer nearly £80 billion. The PFI debt would cover the entire NHS budget for approximately two and a half years. Also there were his failed education reforms!
  20. It was funny! Do you really not know? Do a bit of research about the relationship Blair was courting with Paul Dacre and Rupert Murdoch. Enjoy.
  21. Thanks to everyone that has completed the survey. Manuel - another option is after finding the shoe that fits is to buy online. But it’s always nice to support the guy that helped. Much depends on how much running you do and if there are any physical conditions which need managing. I only run a few times a week as I commute by bike but need shoes to correct pronation otherwise I would get pain in the ankle or plantar fasciitis would flare up so it important to get a shoe that fits or combined with insoles.
  22. It maybe best to first decide what exactly you want to do with it. For instance you say you like photography and video. What ever application you get (recommend Final Cut Pro if serious), that will need decent amount of memory (min 8GB) and a good performing graphics card. If it’s a regular work machine, desktop will always be cheaper so decide if being mobile is important. Some decent deals in shops for end of line recent models if time to wait and choose, if wanting an unused machine. Ex business models can be good on spec but generally are laptops only and have been used. Apple/Android is a personal choice.
  23. You should collect it in a tube and sell it.
  24. A friend’s wife is a Musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatrist and is carrying out research at Staffordshire university studying to determine which factors influence a runner to choose and purchase a running trainer. In order to achieve this, they would like your help to understand what encourages a runner to seek advice (if they do), when choose a running trainer and what deems to be important to them when purchasing a new trainer or changing their current running shoes: Please find the link below, which will take you to a short questionnaire (by Staffordshire university) set by a MSK Podiatrist specialist. https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=8nivV33IZkS3u2tsyZ7RJLGijx3eDvhJkobsNi_GSqlUOFpFUlpOSDdYV0M1WERBQUVTREVJUVBCTi4u I appreciate it if you could take couple of minutes completing the questionnaire and feel free to forward it to other runners from your circle of friends and/or clubs. At the end of the study, the outcome of the research can be shared with interested parties.
