I doubt money comes into it. It’s whether he wants to be part of the team that has a chance to turn united around and if reporting to a SD can give him an important role to be able to do what he wants. If it works it’ll elevate his status no end.

I think some of the criticisms have been justified and it can be a bit of a lottery to predict the successful path of a young player. He certainly improved since the dire start of the season and still a long way to go but I’ve always thought there was a decent player there. I hope he carries on working hard and makes it, which I’m sure the naysayers do as well.
