  2. Why do you think it has been divisive? I'm not sure a sign of protest can change someone's opinion, that would be too simplistic. Surely it only raises what some people see as an issue and it seems to me that there aren't any governing bodies willing to take this issue on which could be a reason that the protest has continued. What are the FA / UEFA / FIFA waiting for? The Government has an 'independent' report (condemned by the UN for distorted and falsified historic facts) but hasn't implemented any recommendations and it doesn't specifically mention football.
  3. Still need to score though.
  4. They have sold a number of high wage earners while bringing in £80m in transfers. Barcelona are in a bigger crisis.
  5. The new keeper would have to be able to challenge for the starting place. I don’t think there is any other PL side that doesn’t have two effective first team keepers that can be inter changeable. otherwise it’s a big risk to have to go into the loan market as an emergency. no idea what the keeper market is like this summer but I hope the club are starting on the search for one now to bring them in early next summer.
  6. An eye for goal, quick and has a few tricks which can be improved while here. I think he’s going to be a star in the making. Thanks Everton and welcome Thierry. Great you chose Saints as the place to be.
  7. I can recommend 15 storeys high for those that enjoy his comedy style.
  8. It’s fair that the bottom half teams will struggle but what The Everton match showed was there is no difference to the end of last season with defensive mistakes, lack of leadership and mental frailty from the players or anything different from Ralph in trying to turn it around. It’s a big issue if Saints want to stay up!
  9. Lovern shows what a good CB partnership can do to promote one’s worth!
  10. From who scored stats: Phillips finished last season as our best rated centre-back in the Premier League (7.29), with no defender winning more aerial duels per game (5.6).
  11. Fair summary on both players. Vest always has a brain färt in him which could be costly but his main two positive attributes are heading (defending and attacking) and being able to bring the ball out of defence. Berty probably got a bit frustrated here and a having new challenge has shown what he can do. It’s a case of making sure he’s still motivated.
  12. Plus the fact he would have repeated it. However in the absence soothsaying it seems prudent that we have a replacement or a player that can enhance the team in same way from last season. being optimistic and that the team are focussed on the manager’s why if playing (who can tactically adapt) I’ll say 15th place
  13. His winning goals. Don’t get me wrong, the club has done the best of a difficult situation. I hope they are as savvy with the replacement, that is all.
  14. with Forster and Long going in the other direction... 🤪
  15. Not sure about that. as injury prone Ings is, his goals kept us up last season. His replacement needs to be good.
  16. They don’t even have twelve unless they sign the trialist. maybe they are Optimising the cash flow by saving on players wages. Only when injuries occur they will then get another trialist into the club?
  17. I think you could have stated false for the others! total bollôcks but it is a funny list. https://fullfact.org/online/pcr-test-mullis/ His questioning reminds me of Samuel Rowbotham and the Bedford Level Experiment.
  18. The survey was done in the days between 21 and 25 July. It'll be dropping like a stone as people either forget or see others without a mask and think why bother. Also I think there are many shop staff that used to wear a mask the whole day have decided no longer to carry on as it was so irritating/annoying.
  19. It doesn’t cover wilful misconduct which is what you are talking about. There is the CICP in the US and the VDA which can cover some cost. Also to get companies interested in developing a vaccine, governments used this to help kick start the pharmaceutical involvement. But remember that in the UK, Oxford University developed one vaccine. You stated in a previous post about a medicine being untested. Which medicine are you talking about?
  20. Never downloaded it. Not missed a days work. Always had a mask and social distanced when out. Track and Trace was and still is a shïtshow of a process! Seen friends and family including the MiL in the care home (who did catch it and survived).
  21. Just a check when you say research - do you mean google search, watch videos on social media and what my neighbour heard type of research or the research where you compile a literature review and write a summary on each article? Or alternatively a random sample of sources and perform independent analysis on the reported results? For each article will you look into the source (the author, journal, funder and organisation the author belongs to). Will you ask yourself why this source might publish these particular results? Did you follow the trail of references and apply the same source of scrutiny to them?
  22. I think it comes down to priorities and the prices why there wasn’t further development.
  23. Indeed. We were after him. ☹️
  24. I’m not the font of all knowledge (or belief) like Colin so take this a conspiracy theory. Since the emergence of the Delta variant which is highly infectious and the relaxing of rules either by the government, organisations or personal responsibility the virus has spread dramatically. Fortunately a high proportion of people have been vaccinated but that doesn’t stop those vaccinated from catching it and spreading it. More people need to be vaccinated to help reduce the number of hospitalisations and deaths which the vaccine has been shown can help reduce. End of conspiracy theory.
