to be fair I feel sorry for saintlee as I think he was sucked into a few peoples elaborate windup/wannabe dreams and fantasys. I want to buy the saints and spend billions on them to make them universal champions of all of time and space. I just havnt got the chatter to be able to convince others that I can actually achieve it. lol

LOL did he really? I was thinking he was more a proper fan that got taken for a ride but if he claimed that then he was obviously more on the side of a wind up lol Poor chap lol
-
he was the one that took it on himself to go research the shiite out of every little snippet and came back thinking he knew more than he did. turned out that if he was genuine he was fed horse shiite the whole time so ended up looking a bit of a plank

excuse me for joining this a bit late and this has probably been answered somewhere already but to clarify does this mean the bid that is suppsed to have MJ involved actually doesnt or MJ is part of a different bid os something completly different? Not after details but just a little confused. (easily done i know)
-
if the bids had to be in by last night then they have shot themselves in the foot. cause when i win the euro millions tomorrow i will have no-where that i want to spedn a silly amount of money on.

crap my clock is wrong on my LT lol

still 7 mins remaining. If they build it...... they will come!

yeah they usually say there is going to be a press conference at such and such time and there are usually clips of people standing around in the room waiting for it to start. F all from SMS up till now so looking less and less likly. Oz either is a Pi ss taker or got wrong info, poster with Le'tiss' name is almost defenitly taking the pi ss and is probably bunking off school

from the looks of league one its all about running your guts out and scoring goals from nothing. cant see how Ras would fit into that too well so think he would be an expencive comodity. Someone like Bret Omerod would be better suited to league 1 that Ras but I wouldnt want BO back either.
-
SSN Coming up they will have all the latest from the camps in the Championship. I guess they mean those in the playoffs and feck all to do with us so this is still seeming like donkey balls.
-
no they won. only the other relegation candidates voted and they wanted to thank Wotte and JP for saving them.

Breaking news banner is the football league manager of the month announcments coming up. I guess that other poster is talking tosh

to be fair allot of that was tongue in cheek comments made regarding some of the many rumours or statements that the masses have said over the last year or so. I have no idea on Lawries wages when he was here last and think even if they were as big as had been suggested they would still be a drop in the ocean compared to all the real problems. Just pointing out that there has been allot said in recent months and had any of it been handled differently things could have turned out very differently. Very easy to say with hindsight but at the time the people making the decisions did so thinking they were the best options. No use the echo or us lot harping on about what could have been IF this or that was or wasnt done is there?
-
IF Wilde came through with the investment........ IF Lowe's crazy ideas worked......... IF the Execs didnt spend so much........ IF Lawrie didnt get paid so much........ IF we didnt change the board as often as we changed managers....... IF Pearson had been here this sesaon........ IF our strikers knew where the goal is........ IF our defence did better....... IF any of the above had happened we wouldnt have been facing extintion either IMO. A whole load of shiite has gone on over the last god knows how many years and they have all had a part in putting us in this situation. I dont think turning down a carp offer from SISU is the defining reason we are in the crap TBH
-
Ive said the same thing, they seemed to be interested in cov for quite a long time and interested in us for about 5 mins right when cov desperatly needed someone to buy them. I dont think cov got a very good deal but they were in a position where there only interested party was sniffing round another club. Im not saying I think Steve Grant is wrong as his version sounds just as plausable so maybe there is a mix of both versions that is close to the truth? I defo dont think SISU's interest in us was all that and if they were still without a club now they still wouldnt buy us.
-
think thats where the ground gets shakey. they came out and said the holding company can go into admin and it wouldnt effect the club cause they are seperate then on the back of grumbles changed their stance. the independant finacial review thingy was tasked with finding info out based on certain circumstances and when they tried to look at stuff that was outside the request they were told to get stuffed. the league came up with the decission under pressure from other clubs and if we do get to appeal somehow I think we have a good chance of rolling them over. that said we must be in a weeker position without the extra companies of the station and insurance so there is possibly enough there for them to win? im more interested in hearing about a new buyer and what they have to say than what wilde lowe and crouch have to say now though TBH
-
a) SISU deal was to benifit the execs and not the club? b) SISU deal wouldnt have benifited the shareholders? c) SISU were SISSY's and only showed interest in us to twist the arm of Cov? take your pick

drop in quality of the award winning catering?

Isnt it allot less than that before you have to make your intentions known? I thought thats why the main 3 never really wanted to increase what they had as that would have meant they were close to having to go for the whole lot or something? Still I see your point in that the available shares would not have been enough to put a new person in a position to force the hand of anyone. But I think what Jonah was saying was that as a public company anyone that wanted to put an offer in had plenty of ways to do it and wouldnt need Rupes go ahead to do so. If I had the money and put an offer in that was blocked I would have made it public and as long as the fans thought i was worth backing then i doubt it would be long before the blockage would have been flushed. dont think anyone really came forward in any way though?
-
yeah its kind of an ironic situation that we could actually do with still having the radio and insurance. To be fair if the powers that be knew the situation it could have been explained a little better as to why the PLC needs to have these other companys that we all thought were draining the club of its revenue. we just saw it as a stupid idea from rupes as he had no idea about football. which is the case obviously! I doubt that they realised the imprtance of the other parts at the time though or planned to be in this situation. all pie in the sky now though and like you say Fry's case is not water tight so who knows
-
cant argue with that. cant say if i would do any better either and like i said i would have no idea on who i would get in as CEO to actually run the place. If I have the opertunity I guess I would be more like Roman at Chelsea. As in i provide the money and someone else does the work. I would want us to do well and play proper football. reckon it would be pure luck as to if i get the right peolpe in to make it happen though.

im willing to risk that putting 45 mill in would get me a bit more fan support than lowe ever got
