I dont think its a silly question and you look like your trying to avoid answering it. I think if we get to the end of the tunnel and there is a nice bright light there showing us the path to good times then all of us would have taken one for the team to get there. But if we go through insolvency and disband completly leaving SMS to be turned into a Rugby pitch and no football team to support then how many would be happy that we went this route?
-
thing is there is no way of saying that without it sounding like blaming the fans. It doesnt matter who is in the hotseat, they all need the fans support to try and make there plan work. Wilde n Co budgeted to get us promoted and while the stadium was nearly full we could afford to sustain it. When we failed the gates dropped and we were running at a loss. Same goes for this past season, we are not happy that the experience didnt get a look in and blamed it on Lowe being a di ck when its possible that the income couldnt sustain to keep them in the team. I know for many to accept that would mean that many would have to accept Lowe was doing something right so it will never happen. I have no idea if that was the case but I can accept it was possible
-
lol wont be the 1st time. There hasnt been much that I would have supported Lowe for but there also hasnt been much that I thought could do any better at the time so I suppose I got that tag a few times. water under the bridge now though.
-
think he was talking about the Pinnicle bid but the beeb put a little slant on it that makes most Saints fans need to change there pants.
-
Well if its absolutly a choice of nothing at all or having Lowe back I think I would actually have the red faced tw at back. A fairly expencive journy to find out he is all we have to offer though wasnt it?
-
I knew we would find a way for it to be Lowe's fault
-
Isnt that where Saint David Works?
-
they havnt officially but then the others just seem to be waiting in the wings while Fry deals with Pinnicle so they may as well make it official. Seems to me that Fry wants to make them the official preferred bidders but also wants them to stump up a few more quid for the privalige.
-
He also gave pinicle till late this arvo to show up with paperwork that would move things forward to a bid. Its not late this arvo yet so he could be jumping the gun a little bit. I also dont get how there are other bids waiting in the wings as surly at this stage they should all be talking to Fry to try and come up with something that he can make a decission on? Or has the last fortnight just been about when Pinnicle may or may not offer? This supposed overseas group for example, Will they be starting from scratch? Due Dilligence and so on? Or are they at the same stage Pinnicle is at? if Fry is dealing with 1 group at a time we could be F5'ing for weeks more until we finally get one that will get to the next step!

Did that make me ITK for half a second?

2 Poll's would be better. 1st would be for managers we would like to be able to choose from Keegan/Shearer/Dowie/Hiddink/Mouriniho/Wenger/Fergy 2nd would be for managers that we would actually be able to choose from Woggy/Gray/T-Lady/Mr Kingston (my 10 year old daughters school footy team manager)/Ali Dia

LOL click on the newspaper to hear some girl who works at the Echo I guess bumble through the headlines. I doubt she will be getting a job on the 6 O'Clock news very soon.
-
I dont think he has always spent big but I agree he would need a decent kitty to get us going in the direction. But then again I think anyone we have managing us will need a decent transfer budget as our team is shiite from shiite town up a shiite tree
-
I know there is fat chance of him coming to us anyway but if he did and stuck about a few seasons I have no doubt that he would get us back to the prem or at least challenging for the prem. I dont think he is cut out for managment at the top level but he is more than capable of taking clubs up from the lower leagues so could be fantastic for us. Wont happen though
-
Dont think there is anything wrong with any of that and the last comment is pretty spot on too IMO. Wotte showed a better ballence of youth and experience and to be fair to the guy the players he had at his disposal let him down more than his tactics did. With a good clear out and a couple choice buys/loans together with a good pre-season and I think he could do as well as the other names we would realisticly be looking at. I wouldnt be disapointed if he stayed or went. More interested in what the players we have/still have do about next season as I think they have a bit of appologising to do. best way they can do that is results. If a take over happens then they shouldnt have an excuse.

Gus Hiddink?
-
i dont think the idea is for him to stay down here in Torquizzle. He was loaned out because there was no chance of action ahead of Bart Tommy and KD but the idea has always been that he should be our future keeper. They even pulled him back not so long ago to tie him up on another deal before going back to Torbados. They only got in Beven because Poke got injured too and now they have 2 keepers who are capable of keeping the each other out of the team. Well dont Torquay and well done Poke. I hope we are not in the same league next season despite me being able to walk to a saints away match!

F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 all freaking day I guess then

fair enough and i understand that deals like this are far from easy but like i said before if the 1st chance to provide proof of funds also had a rule that showed a certain ammount of funds is readily available then would this not speed the process up later on? for instance if I was heading a consortium with me and say 4 others my proof of funds would i suppose be some kind of legal commitment from all 5 of us to prove we are worth a few bob but on top of that i would create some kind of holding account where all 5 of us put in 2 million. that way there is 10 mil sitting there to get started with. if the hold up is down to this 500k then fair enough as there are still no gaurentee's that your going to get anywhere with the creditors. but if its just down to proof of funds then i dont see why all interested partys should have a holding account as a standard requirement.
-
fair enough if thats what the stumbling block is but reading what FF has put it does sound more like general proof of funds which at this stage I would have thought is maddness.
-
but we could also keep waiting for F all to happen. If pinnicle and MJ are our only hope and we wait for someone better what will we do when those 2 walk away? id rather have a crap club going no where than no club at all i think
-
ive corrected it for you
-
kind of makes the proof of funds a bit of a joke doesnt it? 1st stage - show interest 2nd stage - prove you have the wonga 3rd stage - convince the administrator your the best offer 4th stage - provide gaurentee's that you have the wonga whats the point of the 2nd stage even being there when the 4th stage seems to be the important one? why not have a set figure that you expect perspective buyers to have before they come sit at the table? company worth 40 million up for grabs should have possible buyers turn up with proof of at least 10 million available before they are alloud in the door. If pinnicle are the perfered bidders and yet they are having trouble proving funds i dont hold out much hope should we have to drop back to the fall back plan of LLS.
-
I just googled GC and top hit was Gas chromatography which im guessing was incorrect but most likly options seem to be Golf Club and Game Cube. No idea why either would support the saints but there we go ???
-
we did? I thought we only collected players and turned into a feeder club to the physio department
