not trying to argue the case as i agree with you. slightly intersting to wonder IF it would have made the slightest difference but no more than a passing thought. like you say the holding company are in the pooh because the football club cant service its debts. -
I wasnt being serious lol. But if someone like him turned up with a hatfull of money I would be amazed if any of us would really object to that person having a crack. Right now our options are pretty much club or no club IMO. We have hoped for the last 2 years that there would be someone more than tyre kickers interested in us so i dont think our chances are that high for one of the 30 being much more.

I dont think as many people would have complained had Lowe been stinking rich and thrown bundles of cash at the team.

Im not sure it matters so much to how much money is made by other area's. Maybe just having 3 or 4 branches out of SLH would be enough to prove that the club and the holding company were seperate entitys? Right now the holding clubs only branches are all closly associated with the football club and there for come accross as one in the same thing. With 3 or 4 the holding company could have gone into admin because any one of its branches was draining all the finances and be forced to sell off its assets to make changes. Football club gets sold to someone who can support it finances and the holding company would have survived. FL IMO might not have had a leg to stand on and couldnt have deducted points. Its a long shot and irrelivant really, I doubt anyone thought about these possible outcomes when the brainchild of the insurance company and radio station were dreamt up so the same can be said when the decission was made to bin them. I bet no-one actually thought they would be sitting down a year down the line wondering if things may have been different should we still have those branches though. lol -
I did type out a reply earlier which basically agreed with you but ie crashed. it just said i find it ironic that on paper we are on -21 GD yet our most valued players are the ones that are supposed to stop the GD going that way. KD had an amazing season and we would have been double that GD in the red had it not been for him.
-
I think your missing the point. It seems KD thinks he either wont be offered a renewal or to support his family he will have to move on. His kids are gutted and he would love to be able to stay. IF we do get bought then people here are just saying that the new buyers, should they be interested in us doing well would surly see it in their best interests to try and keep hold of a few of our better players? I dont think anyone really expects this to happen but I think they expect any new buyers to at least want to try to aim in the right direction. or should we be happy with new people coming in and not spending or look to improve things?
-
I know that and like I said I wasnt trying to knock them. If it wasnt for KD our goals against would easily be double what it is now. But on paper defence has let us down and I think its Ironic that its our defence that have impressed us more than any other part of the pitch. Strange world init. Hopefully with it almost confirmed us going down possible buyers may be able to save a few quid and get on with buying us and have a bit of extra cash to offer the likes of KD and Size a new contract. we might then have the basis for a team that can look upward rather than downward.
-
Im not trying to knock KD, Size and Perry but we have one of the worst defences in the CCC this season and we think these people are the backbone of our team. Dont get me wrong as I think the same but it kinda defies logic that we are on -21 GD and we will be absolutly gutted to lose those 3.

Its the bit that everyone forgot to do when they rode on Wildes white horse

If only we still had the finance company and radio station I never thought I would actually think that but if that was still around then the holding company would have other forms of revenue and the football club would be more of a seperate entity. I doubt anyone actually thought about that when the hair brained idea was hatched but all the same.... I suppose this will now mean we will lose a few of the interested parties and the ones that stick around will want to get us at even more of a cut down price? In some ways we are actually more likly to get bought now!!! If we apeal and lose does that mean we will get a further point penalty or did Leeds and Luton lose extra for something else? Wonder what league we will finally stop in? -
Course you didnt remove any words at all Mr Fry seems more intent to go watch matches and enjoy prawn sarnys than securing a future for us. I am probably wrong with that but for all the early hustle and bustle we are sat here with the dust settling and crouch moaning about short term failings and fans bailing those responsable out. I stand by what I said in that at the very least the main shareholders should not be able to walk away from there mess and all should stump up a minimum of 10% of the value of there shares. They put us here and should be held responsable IMO I never said I should be involved in any decission making. I came to this forum and made a point about my opinion. Something that you have done plenty of in the past when you felt the need or wish. But its ok I will go back and sit in my corner and let you have your forum back. Enjoy.

My opinion was based on how I feel and I followed it up with the bit you removed to point that out. I know it wasnt fact which is why I made it clear I didnt really believe it. But thats how it comes accross to me at this time when I know so little about the club I love. We are told its really bad and we need to help while the ones responsable beg us or slip away into hiding. Can you imagine what it would be like on here if Crouch went and hid while MR I've done nothing wrong Lowe stood on the pitch asking us to cough up a few quid and the administrator sits down in the comfy seats to watch a game of footy while we suffer? I know Crouch is not as culperable as the others but his comments get my back up as much as the others actions do, and the no idea how close we are to saving the club or watching it join the titanic is doing my head in! Ive only taken 1 word out of your post and it completly changes it. I can see where your coming from though

Nice edit. So now my fan status is called into question because im hacked off with the situation and gave my opinion. Fry has the time to go watch matches and get paid for it but hasnt got time to give us a bit of an update or let us know how much is needed to keep us afloat. but its ok because Croach has done naff all wrong and we should all dig deep to sort out the mess he was part of creating without knowing if it will do any bloody good at all. For all we know we could need 10 mil by the end of the season and our small contributions so far will do nothing to help keep us afloat. Where I work we need 500,000 to build a new enclosure, we are asking the public to help us out and we are raising the money. There is a big F Off poster in the window as you walk in with a target and a progress bar letting everyone know how much so far and how much to go. How much do Saints need to stay afloat? How close are we to that amount? How long can the club stay afloat? When do we need a buyer by? Why cant we demand that Lowe and Wilde and all the other main shareholders stump up some cash to the cause that they created? My opinions might not fit in with all but I dont expect them too as life would be carp if everyone was as fantastic as me lol. But because I dont fit in with what you think my opinion is there to be edited and discounted.

My comment to you ages ago was about 1 thing you used to say which IMO seemed petty and silly and it did get on my nerves. I said so and didnt want a barny and didnt mean to offend. My thoughts were actually echoed by an Admin not so long ago so I dont think I was being petty to fellow fans but so far since I have been on here I think its just your name calling and Crouches comments that have got under my skin so not much for my manly moobies to cope with The way things seem to stand right now I would take saints playing in the blue square league as that would mean the club still exist. Mr Fry seems more intent to go watch matches and enjoy prawn sarnys than securing a future for us. Ive never claimed my spelling is any good and dont give a monkeys if you want to pick holes in it. coking was deliberate as if i put the extra c in it would have been done by the swear filter My other points you highlighted I think are right though. He is no-where near responsible for all our problems and the rest of them are complete coks (insert c where appropriate) too. But the tossers who put us in this position should be the ones made to bail us out. Well done to Croach for doing something while Rupe's touts himself around for interviews claiming he is whiter than white and Wilde who has done a hoodini, but i think it takes the p1ss a bit with what he says and how he says it. Everyone quite rightly moans that Rupes never owns up to his mistakes and always blames someone else yet Crouch expects his happy campers to bail him out when he does the same as rupes. Im fukt off with all of them to be honest and cant believe our fantastic club is on the brink of going out of business completly. Barring the term while WGS was here I havnt seen anything in the last 10 years or so that would suggest we will have a white knight round the corner. Appologies for feeling so down about it all but tis how I feel.
-
I understand what Crouch is saying but the guy just gets on my t1ts. WTF is he on about saying about looking beyond the short term failure thats got us in this mess? That nob was responsable for some of our highest earners that have been crippling the club. Failure has been happening for the last 6 years with 1 year nearly producing promotion slotted in the middle. I dont get how that is short term? Seems like he is still playing the "its not my fault" card and trying to get everyone else to bail him out. I can understand him offering 2 mil if the others do because if he just did it back then they would benifit from the donation more than he would unless they put in the same. But they are gone now and so has that 2 mil apparently. Personally I think all the main shareholders should put in 10% of the value of there shares by way of an appology for coking things up in the 1st place. I know if we do nothing we share the blame but the people responsible should be made to do more before some of those responsible come begging from us.

so any updates today? Anyone know how far down the line the administrators are with meeting possible investors? Was nice to know last week they had there 1st meeting so would be nice to know if they have nearly finished the 1st stage or not.
-
was gona suggest justin.tv too. they usually have the game on somewhere
-
Yes clearly it should belong on the Take-Away thread down the road! Ill get my coat
-
Bizarly this is one I think we will win and look pretty good while at it! Wolves 0 Saints 3 the worse the oposition the worse we play which will make the rest of the season really hard to watch after this game.
-
was watching SSN and all the updates seems to suggest we were generally on top for the most of the game. Defending let us down for both goals and almost a few more but not always defending from the defenders. the whole team need to stay awake when we defend and its been like that the whole season. Thanks fook for Size though! It takes a bloody defender to show the rest of the team where the back of the net is! Still think we have a decent shout of getting out of the bottom 3 in the last 5 games but dont have much confidence in the team thinking the same.

IMO although a small injection of cash may have postponed Judgement day it would not have got rid of it completly. So had we sold a couple of players we would have just been in the same situation but with less assets. We didnt produce the half year accounts because we couldnt re-structure the remaining debt and therefore were not able to sustain the outgoings. Being a small amount over the OD sounds like a kick in the teeth but in the next few months that could have risen enormously in a very short space of time and with no way of managing it. So the bank just cashed in while the debt was as low as it could be. Wilde and Crouch gambled on spending our cash to get us promoted and Lowe gambled that our kids would compete enough to keep the gates high enough to sustain the debt. We mised out on promotion and the the kids option was managed wrong so both leave us up the creek without a paddle. Im feeling a little better in that there are so many interested parties and I hope that there is a gem amongst them. But previous attempts over the apst few years should show us that nothing is going to be an easy option.
