Not that I think this will happen but whats the link between us and Rod? Is there any realistic reason why he may be interested in us? If he knew I was interested in his daughter would he still be interested in us?

Is that the 1st vote for a Rupert Lowe Consortium? lol

So Fans being up for it, Rupes gone, Playing a team that are dead and burried, Potential investors watching, 15 supposed interested parties and a strong looking line up by our own standards this season. And we are pants as we have been the rest of the season. Even games we have won and looked good have required KD to keep us in it. I was optomistic at the beginning of the season thinking that the kids coming through could play without fear and surprise enough teams to see us safe. Now I dont really have any faith in the experience we have in the club to keep things tight and do just enough to not lose. By the sounds of it Wotte is the new JP and is sticking to his one formation and now even Charlton can sus us out. Doesnt bode well for the remainder games. I just want us to go down fighting now which we didnt sound like we did till about 10 mins to go. On the plus side our form has shown that we cant beat the dross in the leage but we can beat the top of the league so while we fall like a brick we might get to see us win one more when we play Wolves.

Its easy to go banding about the Luvvie tag at anyone who trys to look at the whole picture. At least we are now at a stage where come the end of the season all these people that tried to do a deal that Lowe blocked can now easily come in and invest to save our club without Lowe getting in the way. Personally I hope there is someone as without we wont have a club next season. But I would be surprised if that someone is anyone that has been blocked in the past. Doesnt prove anything either way but then the so called Luvvies arnt the ones jumping up and down celebrating while we go into admin and possibly down the pan. If Lowe is gone for good then great. If there is someone suitable enough to take us on then even better. Does it really matter who has what tag now?

suppose it could be read both ways but I read it as Barcleys have been trying to get those that have been promising to invest for years to stump up. Not that anyone would want to invest without getting anything out of it though. If it was a dig at the current shareholders then maybe they were right to keep there money in there wallets as Barcleys pulled the plug for being just over the OD. Had the main goons stuck 500K in each and then Barcleys pulled the plug at the end of the season the goons would have just been half a mil worse off than they are now.
-
Urge various existing investors doesnt say those already invested. just the names that have been floating about saying they will invest yet havent, Still havent!
-
Your basing this on the idea that we actually got below the 4 Mil overdraft limit. What if the agrement was to get the OD below 4 Mill by the end of March and we were 110K short of doing so. It might have bugger all to do with payments going out taking us over the limit. Yet with rubbish attendances, Rubbish performances, Lack of decent players and the most hated man ever to grace the steps of SFC we still managed to reduce the OD by 2.4 Mil and still get the plug pulled over 110K. Finger point as much as we like, it still seems a tad harsh when looking at just the info we have got. Reading the Interviews and reports I cant help get more worried now as there seems to be a continued highlight on the fact that come the end of the season we really could cease to exsits! Can anyone else imagine pompy being the only main club in our area ?

LOL Ponty, Lowes love child and secret Luvvie :smileylaughingrandomemotethingy: -
I think we are all looking for exact wording again as that doesnt say we made a payment to take us over just as much as it doesnt say we didnt get it under in time. The Daily Echo understands that Saints had breached the overdraft limit agreed with Barclays of £4m – but by not much more than £110,000. We know it was 6.5 earlier but we dont know if we ever got it below the new aggreed 4 mill?
-
To be fair the only time I have seen 110K mentioned was when the echo believed that we were over the 4 mill by as little as that ammount. Havnt seen anywhtere suggesting that a payment of that much took us over. I understood that he overdraft was up to 6.5 mill at the start of the season and has been reduced to the agreed 4 mill. So being over by 110K when talking about those sums of money seems a bit rough for the bank to pull the plug. Had it still been 6 mill then it would be understandable. I tend to think that as they can see what goes in and what goes out they are predicting allot more going out between now and the new season than what may come in and therefor decided they wouldnt finance us. Do they wait till we owe 6 Mill and upwards before pulling the plug? Or do it when there is less to claw back?

If he has resigned from the PLC board but not from the football club directorship then I dont see how he can be thrown out of SMS as surly he still has a job to do? Sends shivers down my spine to think he may come back and own the whole lot but I guess the only way he can get the funds to do that will be with a split shareholding. And look where that got us last time! -
For once I agree with you! I just get the idea that Rupes has come back to get the club set up ready to go into admin and be in a decent position to come back again - much of the debt. The knowledge he would have picked up these past few months would be much more than Crouch has and he has more than likly steered the club in the most preferable position for him self than anyone else. So wouldnt be suprised at all if he comes back with yet another master plan.
-
As usual our situation has many things to blame that combine in it all being Rupes fault lol As with last time I just hope that this time we come out looking better than we do going in.
-
The OD was up to 6.5 mil at the start of the season so the club have been doing as was asked and getting the OD back down. Missing out by 100K ish when they are dealing in Millions seems a bit harsh IMO. Still the blame isnt there as it was clear yesterday that the Shares were suspended due to the half year accounts not being published in time. As soon as that happens everyone loses confidence and shuts up shop. Cant blame the bank for the reaction to the clubs failings.
-
I suppose the plan that they were presented was accepted and if it reduced the OD by as much as is suggested then surly the banks should be happy. Missing out by 100K shouldnt be a problem unless they are looking at whats coming into the club and whats going out and decided that 100K is more likly to increase than reduce?
-
Anyone seen this little nugget? http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4254557.Ex_chairman_blames_bank_for_Saints_position/ At the beginning of the season the OD was up around 6.5 Mil so being just over 4 mil now I would have thought the bank would be extatic?

2 mins to go

Ive only ever known him as Stanley and still dont think he is anything more than a skate on a wind up so suprised he hasnt been banned more often.
-
It looks like we are only just getting rid of the last muppet that doesnt like to go quietly. Do we really want another? Agree with the rest though
-
I dunno if anyone else has replied to this but this worrys me too. how come Lowe is the only one stepping down? Sure he is the one we all like to hate but he is not the only culperate in all this? If an administrator is in then surly they all get the boot. Lowe stepping down before sounds like the fecker has got something up his sleave and we wont see the back of him.
-
LOL it must be fun living in your blinkered world. Lowe has been paid far more than he has put into the club so he wont be losing anything. And if the board manage to put the Holding company into Admin and leave the Football club out of it he along with the others will still be on the board and still have there slice. The biggest loser will be your luver Crouch as he stuffed a load of money into someone elses pocket for his shares and hasnt been with the club through its good times so wont have got anything back out of them. Over the past 4 years there have been a collection of mistakes from all parties involved but all these mistakes are more obvious with hindsight. GB being given the funds to go for promotion seemed a good idea at the time but failure meant we just hemeraged more money than we could afford. Leon blowing the Overdraft might well of kept us in the CCC by the skin of our teeth but maybe we should have taken the drop in league but remain in a better financial position to rebuild and push back up? I dont give a toss who's fault it is as there are too many to blame but the one possible good I can see coming from all this is that it looks like the board are trying to find last ditch investment which may only come in the form of someone buying the 3 goons out of the club. I cant see much chance of someone wanting to give any of them money to throw away so a proper takeover or bust is the only ways forward now.
-
SSN and its been confirmed he will take over for the rest of the season as from tomorrow morning. The rumour I heard a lil while back was a rehash of Shearer coming to us following a takeover from a yet unknown money man at the end of the season. Either it was a load of balls (most likly option) or Said money man got no-where near taking us over so Shearer took what was offered up north. He is surly in a no lose situation up there so cant blame him taking that job ahead of anything he may be offered elsewhere fact or fictional.

As will all skates

I heard one recently too but it sounded like a mix of all the previous rumours that hae been going around. I asked someone via PM if there could possibly be anything behind it but unfortunatly it goes down as just another rumour that gets no-where. This latest thing from MD doesnt even sound like its something to get excited about as it sounds like someone is trying to pull a fast one and come next season the FA will slap a 17 point deduction on us for taking the P. Thats if it has more lgs than any of the previous rumours of course.
