  1. My Birthday game is on for this year. Always had Plymouth away around my birthday and this year ill get to see Exeter instead. whoo hoo
  2. Him like BT were always looked at as lazy buggers yet always managed to score. On paper they both go down as 2 of our best strikers in recent history but its understandable how some think we would be better off without him. Personally I dont think its worth keeping him if we havnt got the right people to supply him. He doesnt create many goals of his own accord so if we keep him we need to teach our wingers to cross properly. Do that and he will be on course for 30 goals this season. dont do it and his wages will cost us getting a couple of half decent league 1 players. IMO
  3. Thanks for your input
  4. I think should he stay it will be more down to the above reason than Pinnacle thinking he is the right man for the job. And on the face of it thats why I would be happy with it. I would rather the temp solution be the one that already has a head start on next season than bring in someone else to hold the fort till they get thier man in 6 to 12 months time. Lowe was rightly slated for chopping and changing managers so often so I would rather Pinnacle hold fire till they can get the right man if they have to wait.
  5. To be fair, most of the jobs he had left were no great suprises. he said the England job was termpary and stayed longer than he planned. Newcastle the 2nd time was a mess from top to bottom and the 1st time was probably the only time things got too much for him. If he wants to get back into management then i cant see why coming to us would be a bad thing for him and us. Almost a no lose situation as anything slightly higher than survival will be seen as a positive. Also I would rather see the return of KK than Shearer
  6. Sorry I wasnt trying to suggest thats what you thought. Just what it can appear like sometimes. Your arguments are allot more valid than some so im not trying to have a pop at you. And I might not have chosen the best name when refering to the rest of the management team but you get my point lol
  7. In this day and age I would be amzed if anyone would have the bottle to walk to a footy stadium wearing a T-Shirt with KKK on it lol
  8. Doesnt he have a job at the mo? Otherwise im sure Pinnacle would have snapped him up
  9. I can understand most of that and agree to a portion of it. But some of it comes accross as though you want him gone because he was Lowes puppet. His record has been bad on paper but much of the clubs he has been at have been in similar positions to ours. Sinking anyway! That doesnt exactly do him any favours as he might have been brought into save the clubs and failed but taking over a mess doesnt gaurentee you will be able to tidy up. many said our seaason was doomed before JP and Wotte turned up just becuase Lowe was looking to come back in. you put allot of weight on the "management team" aspect yet his job was Acadamy Director. WTF was he supposed to do when the manager/1st team coach left/got the boot? Would it have made more sence to you if when Wotte got the job they had a seperate press conference just for him? The way I see it is they got the job at the same time and were announced as "part of a new seemless management team" together. All of the managers at the club were part of that same team. So by that reckoning Hockoday and the others should also be gone because that "Management team" failed. The loans and coaches are where it went pair shaped and I doubt there will be many that dissagree. I think the club went for quantaty in the hope that they unearth a gem. I would be interested in who was actually suggesting the players because allot seemed to come in when JP had only been at the club for 5 mins. Could it be that Lowe thought the best way to control the finances was to organise the loans and transfers himself as then he could bring in the ones we could afford rather than the ones that could help? I just dont see how allot of the decissions can be put at the feet of JP let allone Wotte which is where it looks like the fall out from some is more about who employed Wotte than what Wotte actually did. I also dont rate him as some kind of special manager but then I dont know what kind of budget we have for next seasons manager or when that decission will be able to be made. Wotte has prepared for the coming season and I think he will at least see us safe if he gets the nod. starting from -10 I think that is all we can realisticly ask with it being a bonus if we are up in the playoffs. If he gets the nod and things go horribly then replace him the same as anyone else would get replaced. but i dont see what would have been lost compared to a last min appointment just before the season starts. If Pinnacle take over Friday and put someone in charge by Monday then great. The new guy has the time to assess and make changes. But if it goes on another 4 weeks we will have lost players, lost the chance to sign new players, the new guy wont know much about whats left of the squad and our chances will IMO be allot worse than they would with sticking with Wotte in the same sittuation. Its all about timing and what can be done with the time available. KK in charge with a 10mill budget by next monday and we can all get smashed and look forward to some happy times. Can anyone actually believe that will happen though with so many false dawns in the past?
  10. yes I did and the translation was all over the place so I dont think we can be 100% on what is supposed to be said. It didnt look very good as it was though. I dont particularly want him here next season but will understand if he gets a chance depending on when we finally get taken over. The deal could still fold and mr Fry could still decide to shut us down completly so i find some of the hate thrown at Wotte laughable at times. He is never going to take us as a club upwards but I think he could do a job to help stablise us in the short term. Id be happy enough with that but I would be happy enough if he got replaced too.
  11. If your earning 30k a year and you live within your means then thats all you know. If your earning 1 million a year and live within your means it doesnt mean that you will still have a million left in the bank. Sensible thing to do would be to save a big portion of it and live in a small 3 bed semi so you have a wedge to fall back on should the income disapear. Same can be said for those on 30K though. Live in a small 2 bed flat and save the extra income. It doesnt happen though does it? I guess someone earing a shed load of cash will crap them selves should that wage packet suddenly not turn up just as much if not more than someone on a reasonable wage. We are used to living in and out of Overdrafts and budgeting each months money to make sure our kids are fed. While I dont feel sorry for the rich when they have to live in the real world i dont think his comments were there to offend anyone. It may even make a few of them think a bit more when they go round flashing there cash. I doubt Wotten for instance will be lording it up any time soon as from what he said it sounds like he understands what a few more of us have to go through on a daily basis.
  12. You might not like high earners worrying if they dont know where there money is coming from but thats life. the more you earn the more you spend so to lose your income the fall is sometimes allot further than it maybe for someone on a low income. If I lost my job I can replace my income with a wide range of jobs that shouldnt be too hard to get. If Football was my job and it was the only thing I had ever trained for there are not many other jobs out there that can substitute that kind of income and my tidy pension would be about 30 years away. The situation that allows footballers to be paid obscene amounts of money is more to blame and should be addressed IMO.
  13. LOL so Wotte was not in Egypt yesterday then? I thought it was signed seeled and delivered? I still think that Pinnicle dont see the long term future with Wotte at the helm but the longer this takes the more chance he will be there short term. I expect a few hissy fits and boycotts to come out of it but then thats about the intelegence level of some of the "Saints Fans" we have and Pinnicle will just have to get used to it
  14. Clear as mud that init lol
  15. Cant see anyone disagreeing with that. Lets hope the takeover happens and the new owners see next season with Rasiak and are prepared to put the money out for it to happen. Ras up front and KD at the back sounds like the start of a promising team.
  16. ??? what are you on about? Lowe has had the youth policy idea for bloody years but couldnt get a manager to sign up to it. Dont see how you can pin it on Wotte who wasnt even mentioned as a possible manager for us till Redcrap left and Redcrap himself fliped Lowe the bird on playing the kids. feck knows what plannet you live on but I guess you must have loads of fun there. lol
  17. I think JP comes accross as one of those managers that you would like to do well but never looked like getting close. The initial games looked promissing but he only had one trick and was soon found out. Not what anyone would expect of a manager in any of the top 4 leagues in the UK really.
  18. Did we all miss an announcment? besides I thought the potential new onwer was planning to run the club on its own 2 feet which suggests it wont be spunking money on prem wages in league 1 if it can help it. I thought Watford could have had him on a free but decided his wage demands were too high. If they are too high for a CCC team then its not pathetic to suggest its not that great for us to keep him is it?
  19. interesting that Rasiak was mentioned but no mention of KD, BWP or Wotte and some of the others that are expected to leave or without contract.
  20. Good point. cant be in both so if anyone can find out then we might have a better idea on whats going to happen post takeover if it happens
  21. Although I agree with some of that as I said in my responce to Saintrobbie the point about business doesnt really sit right. Years of underspending ended with us being relegated yet a couple of years of overspending got us to adminitstration. I think the ideal would have been somewhere in the middle but the main players all did what they thought was best and we are where we are.
  22. Yet Redcrap has been a success elsewhere both before and after. I really do wish he was found out to be as crap as we know he has been but thats not been the case. Someone else pointed out that Lawrie relegated us once upon a time too. Again I am not trying to big up Wotte as something special but I dont see how he can be blamed for all the problems which obviously have effected us for years. I actually agree with some of what SaiNt ...... has to say in that the decissions and policys of the club have brought it to its knees rather than the skill or lack of skill of the man in charge of the team.
  23. There is so much BS in there that I cant be bothered to argue with you. I doubt we will ever agree on much to do with past events so lets just hope that the future brings more we can all smile about and maybe even agree on a bit more. Edit: changed my mind and my answers in bold above.
  24. I will mountain board naked down a big hill on the moors. oh wait i do that often already. i might do it dressed lol
