Let's see how well the preparation time theory pays off. Five days since Leeds. That's time for players to see videos of the opposition's weaknesses and to be able to target them specifically. I reckon we will get something from this. (I'm having the half full bit from the glass)
-
Its also a pity our squad depth is miniscule.

Ralph originally came with his Video Assistant. He still analyzes games and play against opponents weaknesses (in both teams and individual players) I think Ralphs already spotted this preperation time anomoly and he tried something different today. I think Tella, Adams and Armstrong today were specifically given extra days to prepare for playing Leeds. It was very close to paying off in the first half.

We have now played 10 games this season 3-4 days following the previous game. P10 W0 D1 L9 1pt or 0.1 Pt Per game Of Games we have had 5 or More Days since the previous game. P15 W8 D5 L2 29 pt or 1.93 Pts per game. Coincidence or contributing factor?

What I should've said was "insanity to Question Ralph's Job". How do you get Bertrand head back round when that happens on his 250th game for us. What needs to be sorted is the rules have to be clear. Get rid of this "clear and obvious error" crap, and officiate to the rules.
-
Insanity to question Ralph. We were screwed by another injury after being screwed yet again, by inconsistent Refereeing.

Squad number 19.... same as Tadanari Lee had.

Transfermarkt stats show we've been officiated by Pawson 16 times. P16 W8 D5 L3 No reds in any of those. Only one Pen. https://www.transfermarkt.com/craig-pawson/bilanzdetail/schiedsrichter/2289/saison_id/0/wettbewerb_id//funktion/1/land_id/0/heim_gast//verein_id/180/plus/1

I never understand this fallacy. The tactical flexibility of Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton: (thefalse9.com)

There are very much excuses.... one of them is Mike Dean. Personally, I don't feel embarrassed about the result but about the state of the sport.
-
There is no coincidence between us having a settled team and then Vestergaard getting injured (in Mid December) and then having a catalogue of injuries. as to us having no plan B. This confuses me as I hear pundits and referees say that we adjust our formation throughout the game well. We obviously have a plan B and a plan C, possibly a plan D too. but without our best players we cant apply the plan to our advantage.

I couldn't disagree with you more. We got to 29 points in record time due to the club ethos. Didn't expect to get points from this. Match should have been 6-1 in my eyes. the score should have an asterisk against it in future years. * 2020/21: FA came up with dodgy rules and Mike Dean was still a thing.

I can't believe some fans put this in the same category as last year. Its not anywhere near the same. We didn't have nine first team player out last time. If the ludicrous decision to send Bednarek off hadnt happened it would have been limited to less goals. This is not down to the owner or the manager. This is a freak result due to the rules being an ass.
-
Is Bednarek's red card appealable? Or do we have to put up with the fact he misses Saturday?
-
That shouldn't have been a 9-0 game. Stupid VAR decisions made it a 9-0 game. The rules are currently not fit for purpose.

-
I think we need to change formation for tonight. McCarthy Bednarek Stephens Bertrand JWP Jankewitz Djenepo Armstrong Redmond Ings Adams

Take a look at Sunderland's formation. They play our 4-2-2-2 formation. They're further ahead of our B team so will be better for us in the long term.
-
That surely would take some wrangling away from Fulham....

Based on what? He's played one full 90 minutes in the Premier League. The Majority of his games have been against lower league opposition in the League Cup, or against second strings Lower League Opposition in the FA Cup, and one match against a Mid table Russian club in the Champions league.
