Correct he spent her money however he has created a club and players worth a darn side more than he spent! He was after all a banker who knows all about asset creation. It is true that obviously KL wanted to control and limit the spend. However he was not spending in an uncontrolled manner and KL now has a club and players worth a hell of lot more than has been invested to date. The problem seems to be that they disagreed on the best time to cash in on the assets and she seems to have decided now is a good time! you cannot blame her as it is her money! but to say Cortese was spending in an irresponsible manner is just not true.

So you think the current board have a plan and have sold it to the former manager and players do you and therefore the existing chaos and bail outs are not happening?

So far Mopo and Lambert have failed to be convinced by the boards forward plans and vision it is therefore not an unreasonable extrapolation to conclude many of the other players have the same thoughts. It was always a danger given the close knit nature of our team and the fact they all bought into a vision which it appears is no longer there. The board have one hell of a job now to motivate what is left of our team in time for the start of the season

I seem to recollect Cortese appointing the last manager before the incumbent even had any thoughts of leaving! surely they knew he would leave when he didn't buy into the boards vision

Cortese was not a financial risk taker he was very careful in fact the value of the club (the assets) always increased at a greater rate than the money he spent. i.e. he invested well if he was a risk taker do you think Markus would have put him in charge? Just look at the current value of our players and club for example compared to the value in league 1

Would the players be unsettled if the board had ambition and a clear planned way ahead like we had before?

Bring back Cortese If he were still here Cork and Fontes contracts would have been sorted months ago There would be limited departures (i.e only those he wanted) He would be organising the players summer training camp post world cup and the speculation on here would be on who is coming in not who is going as well as the usual criticism of us starting our business too late!

Hope non of our players ever get selected for England again as it seems to signify they have outgrown us these days! I now know why other smaller clubs prefer to buy foreign players only rather than developing home grown ones! We had much more clout contract wise in the older days with the likes of Channon, Shilton, Wright, Williams, Watson, Chivers, Paine etc players only left we wanted them to!

As it is not clear what the clubs plans are going forward he would be silly to say anything at all. I think he made clear what he and all the players want they want to stay and grow together they recognise they have something special. The key is will the owners and management feel the same and back them? We will know soon in the summer. The biggest test and catalyst for the future direction and the players will be how keen we are to hang on to Mo PO

We should not cash out on any of our stars what we have is so special at the moment it would be a shame to lose it
