  1. Indeed time to rechristen chunky as Adam Brownmore.
  2. I think they genuinely believed the 'safe hands' 'well run' line spun by Semmens & Co. during and after purchase, and thought that Saints would tick over whilst they were empire building in the bargain basement. It's likely now that the core team is in a mode of responsive crisis management to rescue the situation before it becomes untenable. Given what appeared a large investment in earnest over the summer, if they're not SR are incompetent and will be complicit.
  3. In the picture book dictionary this is the visual entry for ‘Mediocrity’.
  4. Scrolling too quickly and at first disagreed with the statement as ‘nobody wants to headbutt Ralph’ - we’re unravelling lads!
  5. Start a new game as Chelsea.
  6. Joe Shields Eddie Izzard dream team - incoming
  7. Bloody hell, the Sport Republic revolution is going swimmingly. Pochettino has clearly requested his own man, Juan Job.
  8. Clearly the Italian oi version of Right Said Fred.
  9. Odds on the clean sheet was versus West Ham with Redknob in charge.
  10. 1-1 shit game, board will give Hassenhutl another fortnight on the back of it.
  11. He’s been repeatly noshing off Ralph for about three years, probably the cause of the weight loss.
  12. Can somebody row out to Dragan’s yacht, turn off the Level 42 CD, and have a word.
  13. Another towering performance 😀
  14. Agree, it appears that this exactly what Sport Republic are doing. Looking like the potential payoff in the bumper contract renewal saw them stick over the summer, even when it must have been clear that the dressing room had turned. The hope must have been that the new influx of young players would quickly buy into Ralph's management and carry things forward, but it's very clear that this is not the case. Waiting until the World Cup would appear incredibly naïve, if not suicidal.
  15. The two that spring to mind are Ronnie Ekelund, already mentioned and an incredibly gifted player who could have been brilliant for us alongside Le Tissier at the height of his powers - the injury curtailed the career of a genuine wizard of a player. The other one, for posters of a certain vintage, was Tseu La Ling, the big Ajax forward who came to Saints as a trialist in 1982. Saints played a full strength Gothenburg in a friendly and La Ling was unplayable, looked the complete player, scoring brace in a 4-4 thriller, which included a towering Ron Davies style salmon leap header. Went away from the friendly buzzing thinking McMenemy had unearthed an absolute gem and always gutted that he didn't sign.
  16. Fein a hamstring strain and declare himself unfit for first team action over the next two weeks.
  17. it's remarkable that only four of those twelve stints recorded a lower win % than the Pelligrino of the Alps, Wigan (by just 1%), Sunderland, Newcastle and West Brom.
  18. When Pochettino joined SFC he was out of work having been sacked by Espanyol. That’s why a lot of fans reacted negatively to binning Adkins, the replacement was unknown and underwhelming. Saints provided the stepping stone MP not the other way round, and not a glance over the shoulder when he was being shown round spurs training ground. Our next manager is more likely to have the same stock as Pochettino in 2013, no chance the 2022 version.
  19. Turgid moribund shite.
  20. If Ralph changes shirts with Pep at the final whistle he’s 100% off this evening.
  21. I’d also expect Grealish to be kicked up in the air.
  22. Blackmore in full Ralph apologist mode on Solent. Some of the material relatively original.
  23. Far too easy!
  24. Likely last game for the Pellegrino of the Alps today. Make sure to catch the wave at the end.
  25. Strap in lads, think this is Sparta with the Krankies led by a sulking Mr Tumble!
