  1. Btw as an aside, at the finish stayed back with a group as the walkways were crowded. Said to those around me, look at the Portsmouth section, players and supporters were celebrating like they’d won a cup final rather than a turgid 0-0. Only time they were heard was when the ground emptying and through sheer relief that they hadn’t been tonked. They know exactly what they are, and what we should be.
  2. Tallest man on the pitch and didn’t win a header or control any of the balls from crosses or 50/50s today - right in front of me second half. Him and Armstrong should be tearing up that skate defence.,
  3. A team of poor players raising their game against a group of better players performing well below par and playing like strangers! Jander and Leo looked good once on, but far too late for real impact, flashes of creativity from Fellows as his obvious frustration with our forwards grew. Toothless and clueless anywhere near the 18 yard box - focal point Archer lazy and a yard behind first half and Stewart with concrete boots in the second - abysmal. I reckon its going to take another month to gel this lot into an actual team.
  4. The fucking state of that!
  5. 2nd for me, always the bridesmaids.
  6. I started following Saints as a kid in the late 70s, and then teenage years through 80s. Lots of firms in that era were genuinely intimidating, and I can recall thinking my number was up against Leeds, Millwall and Chelsea, and full on with a number of others - you needed a turn of speed back then. '84 was my first derby and only one missed was in 2019, the Ings dissection. Not once, have I seen them get the better of our fans, inside or outside of either ground. Not fucking once! The level of bullshit is remarkable and it effects old and young, I think it's biological and linked to inbreeding and resultant low IQ following population concentration linked to slum clearance post WW2. When this documentary aired, I watched it with a pal of mine who is a Leeds fan of a similar age, and he commented on the stark difference between the SFC and PFC contingent, making the point that the inbreds featured were, just that - 5ft 5ins mockney imbeciles, 9 stone simpering mummy's boys, or senile old soaks. Nothing to fear at all at the weekend, and I think the city is a lot meaner than when they last visited - will be a shock for them.
  7. Build it and they will come...
  8. Ready steady cook!
  9. I’m going for 9.59
  10. Jet Set Willy Still!
  11. That's Jancker returning his kettle to John Lewis. No quibble returns policy.
  12. The plot thickens.
  13. 100% this. Pre-match meal of Heinz tomato soup, steak and chips and spotted dick with custard.
  14. Bet it was a Bosch!
  15. To be fair to Sky, I think you'll find it's been expert audited and verified by Paul Merson and Chris Kamara.
  16. Or possibly slow updating the table.
  17. Agree, solid and hard-working player in this division. Jonesy will likely get the best out of him.
  18. Whatever happens up to 7pm today lads our net spend crown looks unassailable!
  19. We were winning this race until some Parisian bastard on Frogsweb texted Scienza a picture of Debenhams with the title Chernobyl on Sea!
  20. Somebody on the Board doesn’t seem too happy that only one of their big bucks Man City youth signings came off, possibly coupled with a view that goalkeeper is an unimportant position in the Championship - an easy league to get out of. The Bazunu project must be persevered with. It’s that kind of brown sky thinking from Sport Republic which sees us currently mid-table with one lucky win. If Still has anything about him he will be bending ears to get a competent and solid goalkeeper in on loan and play McCarthy against the inbreds.
  21. Perhaps the most irritating thing is it’s resurrection along with the reformation of Bazforce. Felt like a holiday when Ramsdale didn’t get the same attention. I’ve seen Bazunu in every game for us this season and he’s no better than previously - no physical or vocal presence which makes the defence jittery, rooted to his line and about as keen as Dracula on crosses, cant seem to catch a ball - and you sense the opposition know that a speculative shot might creep in. To me he’s missing too many key attributes to be a decent keeper and i dont share the view that these can or will magically appear.
  22. Four minutes more than he’ll deserve!
