Personally, in my time as a supporter, would bank on Gennoe (pre-LCF), Katalinic, Shilton, Flowers, Niemi, Boruc and Ramsdale being responsible for us winning 1-2 on Saturday. With Wright, Keller, Jones, Taylor, or perhaps Beasant, still a good chance of hanging on to the win. McCarthy, Forster, Stekelenburg, Davis, Wood, Grob (depending on the odds), Burridge, Wells, probably settle for a 2-2 draw. Otherwise spot on.

What is crackers is that we are still revisiting these conversations over two years after this poor player should have left SFC. Most realised that he was clearly not good enough by the end of the 2022-23 season - too small, no presence, slow to react, unable to catch a cold and worse with crosses than fucking Dracula. However good the outfield players are Bazunu will cost you games and points at this level. That’s the crux regardless of whatever shot he failed to save in any particular week.

Same. Huge credit to TE, whatever the missing ingredient was to turn good individual players into a team he seems to have found it. Like the rest of the Saints supporters on Saturday and last night it would have been lovely to score more second half, but turned to my nipper at full-time and said that this has been like watching a Championship version of peak Man City last two games - relentless pressure and recycle, peppering the oppo goal, whilst preserving the points. Intelligent team play. Special mention to Jander, who is a pivot for all of our good work, and our new flair players Azaz, Fellows and Scienza who were all superb in their specific roles. Quarshie was solid too, and his size unsettled them throughout (smart tactics from the manager). Remarkable really from what we were seeing a few weeks ago. So, now two points from the play-off positions with a plus four GD going into next game (with players chomping at the bit), two wins to match the side in second place at the present time. If I was Spors I think I might be asking TE who is backroom dream team would be, and a shopping list for January 1st. Game on!

Ramsdale and Onuachu didn't want to play for SFC in this division, so not a case of the club wanting to 'keep' either. The real issue is that neither was effectively replaced in the summer window, and the manager chosen for our promotion push was a poor fit. A majority of the fanbase realised this at the time.

With Quarshie at 20 there is clearly a player in there. DD not so much. So that is the main blot on Spors with the contracts for GB and JS.
