  5. I didn't know SRS was 55
  6. On the other hand, Iceland's membership is being fast-tracked as that country sees the benefit of some protection by being in the EU.
  7. Will the police 'escort' the Swansea fans away from the march, does anyone know?
  8. I think she HAS won a Grand Slam, though: Britain's Laura Robson missed out on a second junior Grand Slam title by losing to Russian Ksenia Pervak in the girls' final at the Australian Open. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/7861317.stm
  9. Coincidentally, last week the Welsh Rugby team launched a campaign against domestic violence. Someone, somewhere, has done some research that apparently demonstrates that domestic violence increases when national teams fail to live up to expectations. I guess that could be extrapolated to Saints. :smt102 I'm not saying that I support this view BTW
  10. Good luck guys and gals. I wish I could be with you. I'll be watching the TV for coverage.
  11. They didn't elaborate - just said 'linked with a move to the Royals'
  12. Very short mention on South Today just now. They also reported that Jan has been linked with Reading
  13. I was going to take 10 of us on a hospitality for my son's birthday last year. They wouldn't offer a discount on the price of £99 + VAT per person in the Mick Channon suite. The deal was a buffet meal, wine and beer and a programme and match day parking. When I asked if they could 'throw in' a birthday cake, they said that would be another £50. A similar package at Wycombe Wanderers, with 3 course 'proper' meal, half time and full time refreshments was £40. OK I know it's League 2 but I reckon it was much better value for money.
  14. I remember he always wore his socks rolled down. A real grafter - good luck to him.
  15. I had my knuckles rapped with a ruler when I was in Junior school
  16. It's not funny anymore
  17. All the markets are down today by about 2%.

  19. This is a nasty post. I'm quaking in my boots now
  20. My dad never hit me. However, I was so scared that he would that I didn't dare misbehave! I've never hit my own children either. 'Verbal' beatings were far more effective
  21. Everything looks better through beer goggles, doesn't it.
  22. And if he's wearing a short-sleeved shirt as well.......... Got him banged to rights!
