  1. Interesting list! I know one of the creditors and I see that they owe our club some money. I lolled at 'Juicy' - was that one of Avram's 'visits'?
  2. Too right it isn't Phil - it's bloody horizontal! What ARE you hinting at cos I don't get it at all!
  3. My view is that he never quite recovered his form after that horrendous Shearer tackle that broke his ankle (in two places I think) and then the whole Terry debacle.
  4. I thought the applause came when the Newcastle attendance was announced and I assumed that Brighton were applauding Newcastle for bringing a sizeable support especially considering the distances involved.
  5. They say the memory goes when you get older. Well, I'm about to disprove this - saw this article and thought 'Hmmmm Vantis, now that rings a bell'. http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2013/jan/04/hmrc-flickr-gallery-tax-criminals (some way down the article). And sure enough - it's linked to the very phew down the road: "Portsmouth Football Club Vantis was appointed in February 2010 by the owners and the board of Portsmouth Football Club to prepare a statement of financial affairs, detailing the assets and liabilities of the club" from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vantis EVERYTHING they touch is tainted, isn't it
  6. I think it's sad that WB is reduced to playing for the likes of Brighton. He will always be my hero

  8. Yes, yes he is but he's the 59 year old referred to in the reports. However, a 53 year old Hampshire man has ALSO been arrested.
  9. OMG - really?
  10. I can see the reference to the '59 year old Londonder' but I wonder who the Hampshire 53 year old 'celebrity' is
  11. And based on estimates of 60,000 killed by Assad in Syria in the past two years, a further 30,000 this year?
  12. I now have a very nasty image in my head

  14. I noticed that Sky dimmed the crowd chants at that point and also when the F word was being sung very loudly.
  15. Prince Philip Nelson Mandela Margaret Thatcher
  16. Mr TF has pleurisy / diptheria / pneumonia - oh hang on........ no he's got a sore throat. Don't do the NYE stuff at all but it would be nice to sit here without listening to the groaning and spluttering. I'm not a good nurse
  17. At least SOME fundraising is successful in the cesspit http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-20874772
  18. Lives west OF London - Bray / Taplow area IIRC
  19. Shock horror! I find myself agreeing with Turkish *gulp*
  20. I don't care, actually. I think it's a load of old ******** and I speak as one whose ex-husband got an MBE. I was simply raising an eyebrow or two at apparent inequality.
  21. Oh dear, you do get very defensive don't you? You said she'd retired when she got her DBE - she hadn't. I'm not trying to make out anything, just querying why Mo Farah didn't get a KBE for a similar performance. The only reference I've read in the Guardian to the whole honours thing is their questioning of the disparate number of gongs awarded to olympic athletes compared to paralympic athletes. OK?
  22. It seems Kelly got her damehood BEFORE her retirement, Jamie! According to Wiki, she got her DBE in March 2005 but her final race before retirement was in August 2005. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelly_Holmes

  24. Ah cheers Jamie - I didn't realise she got it after her retirement.
  25. It seems a bit mean that Mo didn't get a knighthood for his double gold, given that Kelly got her Damehood for her double gold.
