  1. Put it in the toaster?
  2. Silly little red run in St Johann - not because it was difficult but because I fell, my skis didn't release and I buggered my medial and anterior cruciate ligaments. So quite tough - in plaster for 6 weeks.
  3. I didn't 'go nuts' about the initial story either. I have never, ever assumed that the police only ever tell the truth. I know they don't. I have a friend in the DPG (although not involved in this affair) and I have a few friends who are MPs. All are honourable people to my knowledge but there are black sheep in every profession (apart from submariners, of course). I await the outcome of the various enquiries. But bear in mind that Mr Mitchell admitted he swore at a police officer. If you did that, or if I did that, we'd be arrested.
  4. Aah bless him! I haven't commented on these latest events at all - but you go ahead lovie and jerk those knees.
  5. We re-used our skirting boards when we did our floors - not a problem and looks much better than scotia IMO. I think a radiator rose is a circular thing that surrounds the feed pipe for a radiator so you don't just end up with a hole round the pipe - makes it look neater.
  6. http://www.food.gov.uk/scotland/news-updates/news/pressreleases/2009/dec/turkey#.UNCfPXd1GSo Also: "A third of cooks put the stuffing inside the turkey. But the FSA said: 'This runs the risk that stuffing and bird itself might not cook through fully - and an under-cooked turkey could mean food poisoning. 'The safe and easy way to enjoy crisp stuffing this year is by cooking it separately in a roasting tin.' No skin off my nose - I don't like turkey. Give me a good piece of beef any day
  7. Best to do the stuffing separately - by all means stuff the bird but don't eat that stuffing : risk of salmonella.
  8. The last wish of a dying man?
  9. Aah yes, of course. We live in hope
  10. So you don't expect a private health provider (as opposed to a company providing non-health services) to the NHS to tell the truth, act in the best interests of its patients, adhere to best clinical practice as a matter of course? You expect, as a matter of course, for its primary driver to be profit then?
  11. I would guess that they're only prepared to underwrite until the outcome of the court case is known. No point in them committing beyond then in case the judgement goes against PKF
  12. A bit scary http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2012/dec/17/harmoni-gp-service-patients-risk
  13. You're right, Derry. Risk is no longer the main driver if you will, as it was deemed to be unfavourable and unequal for men
  14. Yes they did actually! It was explained this morning that they had replica trophies for each contender who wasn't able to attend the event - just in case!

  16. Another one to boycott? (Littlewoods, not the Ritz )
  17. If you've successfully explained that 1/2 is 0.5 then try demonstrating that 1/2 of 1/2 = 1/4 therefore 0.25 and then lead on to 3 x 1/4 = 0.75?
  18. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/dec/14/prince-charles-estate-tax-avoidance
  19. Didn't we establish, a long long time ago when this saga began, that administrators are liable for any losses incurred whilst in administration?
  20. I wouldn't have thought they had much money left to buy time.
  21. I'm hoping that there will be a NJ present at the court to give us real-time updates.
  22. What a very sad muppet you are, Turkish.
  23. Was about to post - we'd got the programme on pause because a daughter phoned - I honestly didn't know the result We're soon going to be moving to Buckinghamshire and Mr TF wants to go to both the Hand and Flowers AND the Fat Duck - just as well we're taking out a larger mortgage
