I had one done on my right knee a few years ago (wear and tear from dancing). It was just a clean and tidy up of the cartilege. I was in overnight and discharged in plaster the next day. Within a week the plaster was changed for one that I could zip on and off (had a special name but I can't remember it). This meant I was able to teach dance again with the zip up plaster on about 10 days after the op, although I had to be driven to and from my classes. If it's a simple scrape and trim, the after-effects aren't too bad at all.

Off tangent - I danced at the RAH once (many moons ago) True
-
Saw C du S there a few years ago - was absolutely brilliant and even Mr TF who is not generally into 'dance type stuff' was blown away. We were lucky in that we got seats facing forwards. You'll know, I'm sure, that RAH is sem-circular so best to avoid the 'sides' if possible I would think. And probably first tier at least. I hope you enjoy it - sure you will. I'm very jealous

Dissertation? It could end up more like a boxed set of 20 volumes of 'War and Peace' - although forget the Peace bit. -
Sod's bloody law it will We're moving house on Wednesday and we won't have broadband for two weeks! Not enough data on my phone plan to keep checking every few minutes as I have done for the past 2+ years.

OMG - dreadful Not sure how true the Sun story is, mind. But the tattooing! Why would anyone want to inflict that sort of pain on a small child. Worse than, but in the same vein as making small children have their ears pierced IMO

Never, ever carpet in the bathroom - not when there are men in the house! We've got click type 'tiling' in our bathroom. It lays like laminate flooring and it's warm enough to walk on barefoot. I'd recommend it any time.

My 4 year old grandson's dad is a Toffee and the poor boy has had to wear Everton stuff since birth. I was very happy the other day when grandson asked me 'How did Southampton get on, Nana?' and then I remembered I'd kept telling him we had a Yoshi in our team - he's mad on MarioCart. Seemed to have worked

Where do you see yourself a year from today?

This time NEXT WEEK we will have moved to within a quarter of a mile of both my daughters. So this time next year I will be a perfect grandmother, looking after two one-year-olds two days a week and picking up two small school children three or four afternoons a week. -

Although, in this case, he faked his references anyway. -
Well, I'm not a dad - obviously but as a mum of three and now a grandmother I'd offer this thought: It takes a mother fully 12 months to recover from childbirth. Her body and hormones would have undergone huge upheaval. Couple this with a lack of sleep and you'll find she'll get very tired very easily. So will you, of course - not underestimating the upheaval for dads too. Sorry for being serious but I have to tell you that one of my daughters had her second baby in September and she has been very, very poorly with a horrible flu / throat virus. Had she not recently had a baby, she would have shaken it off easily but her resistance to bugs was very low. Not unique to her but a side effect was she struggled with breast feeding for a fortnight and that was quite a concern. She's better now thank goodness - but be warned. Tiredness is the worst part of being a (new) parent. Mind you, it goes on until they leave home

Piano, although I haven't played for years. Don't have room for a piano. I'm probably crap now, but I did win a class at the Southampton Music Festival many years ago (the same year as I won a class in the Southampton Dance Festival). Tried the violin and was useless.
