  1. Will be interesting to see how the ticket office play it after they've sold to ST holders. Will they: In the interest of safety, not allow anyone who doesn't have a purchase history to get tickets? Priority to people who've bought all FA Cup tickets so far? (hope not, mine have been bought on the door!) People who are registered as having been to 5 away matches or more? People who are registered as having been to 10 home matches or more? Or a scheme where if you buy for the next particular league games you get priority?
  2. I'm gonna head down to the ticket office and start queueing now!!!
  3. In which case you're comparing Brett in the Premiership and handful of Championship games for us, to Barnard in League One? Anywho, enough of this, we won, I'm happy.
  4. You said he was 1 in 10 at this level, hastily changed to 1 in 3? I consider that way off the mark.
  5. Someone with a bit of sense!!! I revisited my 02/03 season review DVD the other week when I was bored out of my mind because of the snow disruption, it showed how important he was to the team that season.
  6. You might want to go and have a look at Brett's goal ratio at this level prior to joining Saints, you're way off the mark!!! IMO they are very similar players, similar size, both work extremely hard and both have a good goal record at this level.
  7. Well, he did run a lot. I'm going with the "decent finisher" comparison on his lower league record more than anything! In all honesty though, Beattie wouldn't have scored as much as he did without Brett.
  8. Remind you of anyone? One is a big lad who can strike a sweet free-kick, score goals on a regular basis and do a decent job in the air, the other is a smaller lad who doesn't have blistering pace but works his arse off and is a decent finisher. I think these two, when paired together, will be quite similar to Beattie and Ormerod. If memory serves me correctly we did pretty well in 02/03 with those two up top! Looking forward to hopefully seeing them start together today! (apologies if this similarity has been mentioned anywhere before, if so, I missed it!)
  9. I can't find the figures for all of Britain, but alcohol abuse costs the taxpayers in Scotland £3.56bn a year, so god knows what the figure is for here too. Should we stop people getting boozed up? In all honesty, I'd rather my taxes went to funding further education than patching up ****heads or paying for their criminal damage (and I didn't even go to Uni) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwDRBm-qbQI
  10. He deserves some recognition for his goals, but the idiots will boo him and he'll probably shut them up by scoring. Wouldn't expect him to get a raptous applause, but certainly doesn't deserve a booing.
  11. I thought Loftus Road had one of the smallest two-tier stands I'd ever seen but Brentford's takes the ****!
  12. Like Lee Holmes, who's efforts on the training ground earnt him a start vs Millwall?
  13. I'm in North Hampshire and I'm getting the crappy London one, bah!
  14. I'm told he scores the odd goal, in which case he's nothing like Claus
  15. Was hard to judge them today, but I think all will prove good in the long run.
  16. Just got back from watching that dross, all I can say is that it was a good job I had some alcohol in me, because that would've been hard to watch sober!
  17. Magilton got the boot because he had a row with Buzsacky and Hart has apparently gone because of a row with Adel Taraabt.......too much player power around, bunch of whingeing bastards. They need to get the next appointment right but I doubt they will, they've got the cash but the people at the top have no sense at all when it comes to football, they've just turned them into a laughing stock.
  18. His voice made him sound like he was about to cry. Maybe someone told him that in prison he'll just be another bare bum in the showers!
  19. Thought some of the stuff on here was a little bit out of order, making it sound more dangerous than it actually is. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1932740,00.html Everyone knows if you go to Millwall and behave like a prat, you'll probably get beaten up, but if you behave it's fine. Same with a lot of other away trips.
  20. OS says it'll be possible subject to availability. I'm hoping so, as I have no cash until then! Anyone know how many we've sold now?
  21. No Connolly?
  22. Good signing, even if he did always remind me of a poor-man's Glen Johnson. At least if he has a lapse he has the blistering pace to make a recovery. Hope the coaches can keep him on his toes and stop him from getting lazy, the 6 month contract should mean he's keen to impress. Anyone know if it's still Wally Downes doing our defensive coaching? I wouldn't want him shouting at me!
  23. Only if Hicks and Gillet have a fair few million spare, he'll cost a fortune to fire and he won't walk out. Great sense giving him a 5 year contract last year, they're commited to him now whether they like it or not. Personally I find it hillarious, I despise Liverpool, their fans and Rafa.
  24. I've heard that we're selling it to the owners of a nearby massage parlour in Horton Heath who wish to relocate following recent media intrusion into the nature of their business and clients.
  25. Oh well, it could've been so different, but not to be. Couldn't fault his commitment on the pitch, still remember him bravely scoring a goal vs Sheff Utd on our last day escape the other season.
