Bit of a boring window if our biggest news of the day is Wayne Bridge to Brighton! Hopefully the calm before the storm...

All the fuss seems to have died down a little. The Southampton (transfer) way or in West London speaking to Mark Hughes now, I wonder?

Can't see the fuss. Matt comes out and says what 90% of the population (outside of Manchester and Kent) were thinking and suddenly he's the bad guy. Rooney was knackered by half time and contributed little to the game thereafter. That said, sometimes you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. If he had hauled Rooney off, and we'd still lost, he'd been tarred with the same brush as Graham Taylor when he hauled Lineker off for Alan Smith in 1992.

QPR have signed Man Utd left back Fabio on a season long loan. Presumably that'll end their interest in Buttner (if they think the deal to us is done and dusted)?

Clear Adkins wants more Butt in the side. If we sign Buttner & Butland to go with Butterfield would make this clear. Expect further interest in Jacob Butterfield, Hans-Jorg Butt to challenge KD as GK & Nicky Butt to join as a coach soon.
