Seeing as there is a real dearth of rumours regarding potential new Saints, I thought it might be fun to have a HCDAJFU thread with a twist. Idea is that you pick 1 REALISTIC signing only & at the end of the window we see who, if anyone, guessed a signing correctly. Would we need Cork if Danns is a 'done deal' as suggested on the rumours thread? Can't see us signing both unless one of Hammond, Morgan or Chaplow are off.

The Mirror might print crap but many were happy to buy into the story about us signing Jack Cork which they printed earlier this week...

According to his Twitter account, Cork was getting on the plane for the Euros an hour ago. Guessing any deal won't be done until afterwards, if we've not sorted something out already?

Whether or not the wage thing is true, let's hope the news of him signing is!!

Any idea when pre-season training starts? Would be good to have any new faces in by then so everyone starts off from the same point and we can hit the ground running from the off.

I'm certain Howard was the player we wanted and we went for Stephens when that fell through. Now, I think we're waiting to see what Howard's situation will be again next week, re: promotion or not, and then we'll make a move for Stephens if Howard declares himself unavailable.

No shocks in the retained list. I guess any debate will centre around whether or not Gobern and Connolly manage to agree new deals.

Excellent news that the big fella is staying. Also, hopefully the release of this news means news on the other out of contract players will be forthcoming soon.

Checked one of the Palace forums and Neil Ashton is a Palace fan. Interesting about Murray; living in Shoreham, I'd consider getting his name on a shirt, if he joins us, just to wind the natives up...

I still can't believe we didn't take the opportunity to show off the new kit at the last game, even if we didn't actually wear it. I'm sure Lucy P. would've happily modelled it for us...
