Ivan Katalinic's 'tache

Seeing as there is a real dearth of rumours regarding potential new Saints, I thought it might be fun to have a HCDAJFU thread with a twist. Idea is that you pick 1 REALISTIC signing only & at the end of the window we see who, if anyone, guessed a signing correctly. Doesn't have to be anyone who's been linked with us before but it has to be a realistic target (ie. someone you could see signing for us or someone you've been tipped off may sign for us) but you only get 1 go. As the OP I'll go first: Jay Simpson from Hull. List so far: Jay Simpson (Hull) - me Anthony Pilkington (Huddersfield) - sfc4prem Keith Andrews (Blackburn) - Wadge Jack Cork (Chelsea) - Colinjb Joe Murphy (S****horpe) - Fergie Lee Peltier (Huddersfield) - saint lard Robbie Keane (Spurs) - Jimmy_D Brian Howard (Reading) - itchen_dan Neil Danns (Palace) - Benali Saint David Mirfin (S****horpe) - ChrisPY Craig Mackail-Smith (Peterboro') - CWD Josh Wright (S****horpe) - S-Clarke Dean Cox (Leyton O.) - the scud Danny Ward (Bolton) - The Fat Controller Dale Stephens (Oldham) - PaulGilchrist_76 Jordan Rhodes (Huddersfield) - SNSUN Daniel Agyei (Liberty Professionals) - benjii Brian Stock (Doncaster) - SuperSAINT Diomansy Kamara (Fulham) - Saint Fan CaM Anthony McNamee (Norwich) - ottery st mary John Carew (Villa) - pingwing Jason Pearce (Bournemouth) - silversaint Craig Dawson (WBA) - markr27 Nigel Reo-Coker (Villa) - Smirking_Saint Haris Seferovic (Fiorentina) - Dazza82 Tamir Cohen (Bolton) - westmidlandsaint Ian Harte (Reading) - SaintBobby Grant Holt (Norwich) - Pilchards Darren Ambrose (Palace) - gogo_saint Oscar Gobern (Saints) - The9 George Boyd (Peterboro') - Cabrone Sam Vokes (Wolves) - Channon's Sideburns Gary Roberts (Huddersfield) - Appy Billy Sharp (Doncaster) - WATERSIDEIFASAINT David Vaughan (Blackpool) - Rusaldo Amine Linganzi (Blackburn) - SFCDan

Would we need Cork if Danns is a 'done deal' as suggested on the rumours thread? Can't see us signing both unless one of Hammond, Morgan or Chaplow are off.

The Mirror might print crap but many were happy to buy into the story about us signing Jack Cork which they printed earlier this week...

So whose dad is now club doctor and what do you know????

....that's the fella. Got anything u'd like to share?

Nicely enough to afford Jack Cork's transfer fee and alleged salary? [did you see the way I tried to bring this thread back on topic but without losing the discussion which went before? Neat, huh?]

According to his Twitter account, Cork was getting on the plane for the Euros an hour ago. Guessing any deal won't be done until afterwards, if we've not sorted something out already?

Whether or not the wage thing is true, let's hope the news of him signing is!!

Any idea when pre-season training starts? Would be good to have any new faces in by then so everyone starts off from the same point and we can hit the ground running from the off.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_6954952,00.html David Jones from Wolves CDAJFU as a centre mid, IMO. Turned down a new contract so on a free.

Keep it under your hat but I think it may have been Imogen Thomas...

I'm certain Howard was the player we wanted and we went for Stephens when that fell through. Now, I think we're waiting to see what Howard's situation will be again next week, re: promotion or not, and then we'll make a move for Stephens if Howard declares himself unavailable.

No shocks in the retained list. I guess any debate will centre around whether or not Gobern and Connolly manage to agree new deals.

Matt Taylor is on a free from Exeter. Wasn't he the one they said we should've signed when we got Seaborne? CHDAJFU?

Surely this would need some form of Jordan Sibley 'big news' Twitter teaser first before releasing such monumental news???

Excellent news that the big fella is staying. Also, hopefully the release of this news means news on the other out of contract players will be forthcoming soon.

Conclusive proof they're a much bigger side than us. We'd have only had 7 pages by then, 8 max.

Checked one of the Palace forums and Neil Ashton is a Palace fan. Interesting about Murray; living in Shoreham, I'd consider getting his name on a shirt, if he joins us, just to wind the natives up...

I still can't believe we didn't take the opportunity to show off the new kit at the last game, even if we didn't actually wear it. I'm sure Lucy P. would've happily modelled it for us...

Although it wouldn't go down too well if he said, "glad we won the league but I'm off back to Southampton 1st chance I get..." in the midst of their celebrations...

May 23rd, my son's birthday. Sort it NC, or he'll be disappointed.

He's slimmed down since he left...

New contract for Adkins... See OS!

That's the news folks...
