  1. Guess not then?!
  2. So Vokes ain't coming here - any more on Jemal? Sounds like he could've been the second medical today, if sir woody is right, and we could just be waiting for the permit then?
  3. Sounds very good - wonder which top flight European sides we beat to his signature?
  4. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?30317-Glen-Murray-Brighton&p=1048071#post1048071 OP started a Glenn Murray to Brighton thread a while back. Obviously nothing happened there but there was a lot of speculation that we had made him an offer. Will be interesting to see what occurs here...
  5. Maybe we've signed Jemal and we're awaiting work permit confirmation? Usually takes a couple of days after the actual medical/signing happens, which fits with the timeframe according to the Tunisian report.
  6. Someone posted that on Facebook last nite too. Anyone see SSN who can confirm what they said?
  7. Bumped into NA the other day. He told me that his summer holiday had been sh1t, that he thought P*mpey would do sh*t all this year, that AOC's dad had been sh1t stirring in the press and that the accommodation and facilities in Switzerland had been sh1t hot. Then he apologised for dashing off as he needed a sh1t. Hold on - we must be about to sign Dan Sh1ttu!!!!!!!
  8. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/9151242.Puncheon_gets_the_message_as_Saints__youngsters_win/ Echo says Cortese was meant to attend the game vs Totton last night but he pulled out "late on". Maybe he had to dash off to negotiate terms on a possible new arrival?
  9. Could be a case of other clubs not taking a chance on him, if he's not at least had some form of pre-season. Particularly if we're trying to max out the fee we want for him.
  10. Seen his name mentioned a bit. Thought the Skates wanted him too? Should sign him just to p*ss them off.
  11. Joseph Yobo CDAJFU. Not wanted at Everton and don't think he's gone anywhere else yet.
  12. The goalie shirt will also have 'go go gadget' arms.
  13. To satisfy the natives after such a long wait, all the secrecy and a big build up this had better be a seriously good shirt. I'm expecting it to be a 3 in 1 shirt, where the stitching can be re-arranged at the touch of a button so we can wear red & white stripes, the sash and the 'Keegan' shirt at different times throughout the season. It will also have neon letters & numbers plus, if you hold it up to the light, you will see Saint Markus' face on the front & MLT's on the back....
  14. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_7047228,00.html Wednesday confirm interest in Neil Mellor. May I be the first to say, all yours Mr Megson...
  15. So 1 or 2 new players by Saturday and a new shirt to be released on Weds. What price a new shirt/new signing combo on Weds???
  16. If Adkins has mentioned speculation, maybe Roberts will be one of the new players as he's the one there's been most press coverage about recently.
  17. Is this a HCDAJFU type thread or is there a real chance we're trying to bring him back?
  18. Be interesting to see the line-up tonight. Wonder whether the starting XI will be more akin to NA's first choice line up or whether it'll be a complete mix up & a different team each half, as against Biel-Bienne? Also wonder Jack Cork is up to speed yet or whether he's still playing catch up after the extra time off after the U21 tournament.
  19. For the glory and the endless trophies, no?! In reality, I have family from both Hampshire & Sussex and my Saints supporting Uncle got me into Saints before my Brighton supporting Uncle tried to make me a Seagull (he tried hard to change my mind in the 80s, even giving me his 1983 Cup Final programme but they lost so that was never gonna work!). My Dad has no allegiance having moved here from abroad, has never been to a match and has 'supported' amongst others from the comfort of his armchair: Ipswich (when they were doing well), Liverpool (when they were doing well) & Man Utd (now they are doing well). I took my son (aged 2 years, 11 months) to his first game (when we were relegated to League 1 by losing to Burnley) just in case that was to be our final ever season and that our final ever home match. Things were looking bleak at the time! Now 5, he's already a committed Saint, knows a few of the player songs and loves going along. Looking back, correct decision made even though I live near Brighton and all I hear is about their "marvellous new stadium". Looks a bit small to me...
  20. Blimey, must desperate. He must be mid 40s now.
  21. Good. Give us James Henry and we'll call it quits.
  22. Can't believe we've all overlooked Neil Mellor...
  23. ...end. How have we missed out? Are we no longer the top team beginning with the word South????? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14135573.stm
