QPR signed Gabbidon yesterday & will probably partner him with ****tu so maybe Gorkss doesn't want to be relegated to the subs bench? Maybe NA sees him as a better option than Jemal & that's why that's gone s bit quieter?

If accepted, & we sign Gorkss, would probably end our interest in Jemal as I can't see NA wanting 2 add 2 new centre halves.

Interesting. A quick search on Google says Villa & Everton were monitoring him last September & Fiorentina were sniffing around in April. Genuinely would be a coup to get this one, if there's some truth in the rumour, and he'd have a new Belgian pal at the club for company already!

Opened a bit of a can of worms here haven't I?! The point I was trying to make was that, if true (I believe I wrote that) my first impression would be to ask does he really want to come to Southampton. He doesn't have to bleed red & white but he does need to want to be here enough to want to put in a decent shift for the cause. Look at Van Damme, for instance. Didn't really want to be here & it showed & affected others. If he does join & does well - brilliant, if he chooses to go to Stoke - fine, no hard feelings but if he comes here just for a pay day & with a heavy heart then it's not likely to go well for all concerned. Oh & half wit? I think not.

Another one whose early promise was better than his recent form. If NA feels he can drag him back to form then I think that's great although 2 mill does seem a bit much.

Maybe we've signed Jemal and we're awaiting work permit confirmation? Usually takes a couple of days after the actual medical/signing happens, which fits with the timeframe according to the Tunisian report.
