Maybe the rumours about Barney being part of the Baldock deal are true & Waghorn is to fill the gap left by his departure, if Barney is off?

Steve Bruce said earlier this week that there were Championship sides interested - plural. Ipswich & Saints are 2 rumoured to have been interested; maybe there were more and this was us telling him to hurry up or we'll move on. All guesswork but Pilch, you're hinting that this could be close? Opinion or something stronger?

I reckon Kilgallon has always been our target & the whole Fontaine thing was a nudge to him to get a move on. Ipswich look like signing Sonko, and they were one side looking at Kilgallon, so maybe this will proceed now? Could he be Killer Mk 2?

Would ordinarily agree but Sven is a curious character & I get the impression that if your face doesn't fit, he'll ignore you regardless of how good you are especially if you're not a Sven signing. Waghorn may fall into this category.

One of them's an Everton fan (if not all) and Fox came through the academy there. Maybe one of them knows Fox?

Maybe I'm biased but his (already dire) performances in charge of Saints games seem to intensify (against Saints) following the incident vs Blackburn, in Luggy's last game in charge, where he forgot to send off Barry Ferguson. He has earned the name Andy D'Arsehole in our house and probably many more around the country too...

I remember there being one, at the entrance to the City, when we were playing Pompey, saying: "Dear Skates, please leave your caravans at the park & ride" (or something similar) which made me chuckle.

Burnley not playing midweek due to Birmingham playing in Europe (lol!) so no indicators there as to whether a deal has progressed at all, with him being left out of the squad or not. A couple of days until the Millwall game; I wonder if there will be any transfer activity beforehand?

Was a classic mistake on their part; mistook Cortese for a mug, definitely, to take up the option to extend the contract and then watch in horror as the target you intended to fleece backed away. Funny & disappointing (for us & Antonio) in equal measure.

Michail Antonio gone on a month's loan to Colchester. Good when we had him but having to go back to Reading really stalled his progress IMO.

Maybe the plan to get a new defender was never about buying a CB but get a better left back? Could be the original idea was to use Jemal at LB rather than in the centre? Fox does seem a step up from what we've already got whatever.
