Thinking about it, when it became clear Rodriguez wasn't coming here, wasn't it rumoured that we made a last minute bid to sign Jutkiewicz at the end of the August transfer window? Or am I imagining that?

Agree, his form has made him a must sign for us fans. What concerns me is that I seem to recall reading that the deal for Liam Fontaine was left 'open' should he prove his fitness by January and maybe the reason Hooiveld was only signed until January was because we're planning to go back for Fontaine. I seriously hope not because I can't see what more Fontaine can offer us which Hooiveld cannot.

I'd be gutted if that was us being used in that way. I guess acceptance of the scheme will boil down to whether the fans tolerate these turnstile pros coming in and going out so frequently in exchange for (hoped for) progress up the League. Be interesting to see what their existing playing staff think. Sorry [insert name] we're not picking you for 3 months whilst we showcase [insert name] to make a profit. How would that affect morale?
