Forum poster Matthew Le Tissier suggested on another thread we were 80% there with a deal for someone not yet named on this site & NA said in his post match interview today he was hoping/expecting to complete a deal this week. Any ideas? A leftfield name I saw on Football Rumours (yes, I know...) was Luke Moore of Swansea though I'm not sure if I'd be that thrilled with him. Plus he's a striker & our main target there would appear to be Hooper + Lee's due in too. Maybe a winger then or back up CH?

Shaping up to be a really interesting transfer window as far as new strikers goes. It's going to be interesting to see, when the window finally slams shut, which striker ultimately ends up with the longest thread. Lee leading the way at the moment, I guess, but Hooper showing some good potential here. All to play for, IMO.

If not, the poster of post 409 is bound to cover the full cost of the transfer. Over to you SG...

Agree with this. I'm sure he'd do well for us. Can't shake the nagging suspicion that Jut will also have had the most reasonable wage demands amongst a pretty equal group of supposed targets, Hooper excepted, & if we're not willing to pay top dollar, maybe he represented our best bet.

Just seen a thread on Cov forum saying Jutkiewicz will be off by the end of the week although Boro is his likely destination. Shame if true, IMO, as I think he could do a job for us. That said, it's a rumour on a messageboard so it comes with the usual caveats!

My wife deals with (student) visas & stuff (not going to pretend I understand) but she tells me he was probably here on some short term sporting visa but will need to return home initially before his full time work permit is approved (probably not the correct the terminology but I think you get the gist).
