Although Tyson does fit the bill for both additional striker and pacy winger as he can play both roles. Slap another £100k on top Markus, and they'll probably do business!

Where did you hear/see that? It makes sense, particularly as AP has said wide areas are a concern. I think Charlton have plumped for another left winger, Kyel Reid, instead because he was on loan there last year and then was released by Sheff Utd. Maybe we should go for a 6 month deal and see if he can cut over a reasonable period?

I agree. I think we need to look at players like Varney who will be itching for a chance somewhere, to get away from where they're not getting a chance now, or an up and coming young Prem targetman on loan. Surely Man U have someone who fits the bill? Plymouth took a chance on Ebanks-Blake and he did alright for them and Wolves.

Football Rumours is linking us with ex-Wycombe no 1 Scott Shearer on a year long deal. Would be reasonable back-up IMO.

Spotted this in a piece about recent triallist Harlee Dean on Football Rumours site. If true, suggests no more Bart but would offer reasonable back-up to KD.

Like most, I'm frustrated we've not brought in more, I must say. However, I'm hopeful things might pick up when the lads return from Switzerland, as I'm hoping AP is using the trip as a means to see who (of the fringe players) is going to play a proper part for us this season and where we need to supplement if not. For instance, if Lee Holmes is fit and in decent form, would that mean we'd look to replace only 1 of Papa or Antonio rather than both?
