I agree. They will be smarting after that defeat at home from Bournemouth and looking to revive the momentum they had before that game. Then along comes Southampton, right on cue!
-
Oh those happy days.
-
Leicester are sliding down the League faster than a greased ferret. RVN's post match interviews all mention players not giving 100%. Ipswich and Wolves may be teetering but they do put up a fight.
-
The original post said 'we' had scored in the last 2 games when, being picky, 'we' hadn't, Ugarte had.
-
Oh it won't take as long as that. If we don't get a result against Ipswich on 1st Feb then we will be facing the inevitable. After that match we will have 5 games before 29th March, the date Derby County were relegated with 11 points, to try to salvage some shreds of self-esteem. The problem is those teams are Bournemouth, Brighton, Chelsea, Liverpool and Wolves. With the exception of Wolves, all the others have their sights set on the Premier League title, Champions League places and European football. I can't think Southampton will stop them in their tracks.
-
I think you will find the 'goal' we scored at Old Trafford was an og by Ugarte.

I agree with you. I took my grandson to the cinema this afternoon. Two men behind us were discussing football and said Notts Forest could go 2nd if they won 13-0 and as they were playing Southampton there was every chance. I don't mind a bit of stick but it's bloody relentless now.

I am taking my teenage grandson to the cinema to watch A Real Pain which may be what the spectators will be feeling too.

Man U booed off their home ground at half time and were second best for most of the game. Once Dibling came off injured the dynamics changed. Juric's substitutions finished the game entirely. I couldn't see the point of them and would have rather he had left the team as it was. They had played so well. KWP played his part in Amad's first 2 goals and THB, who had played well, just didn't concentrate enough and put a hattrick on a plate for Amad and a final score line which flattered United.

When Armstrong came on my heart sank. I didn't hear his name mentioned from then to the final whistle. Therein lies the reason, coupled with playing out from the back which we made another balls up with tonight, for the reason we are where we are.
-
When will we stop playing out from the back!!! How many goals have we gifted with that this season?
-
Jealousy isn't a good look.
-
And Forest in 2nd. It shows it can be done with a decent manager and players who give every ounce of effort to their team.
-
If you mean Lauren Whatsername, she's had 2 children by him. He was a serial cheater before her. He's hardly good looking but perhaps it's his bank account that appeals.
-
Not sure whether this should be in The Lounge but it is footy related, sort of. Is it a coincidence that Kyle Walker is skipping the country at the same time that Pep's marriage has gone up the spout?
-
No, a realist.

Having watched the Arsenal v Man U game yesterday, we haven't a hope in hell. Amorin may not have his dream team yet but their defence was rock solid and with our woeful strikers I can't see anything but another defeat.

My parents told me that self praise was no recommendation. Fits SR spot on.
-
Hope Bentancur is ok after being stretchered off in last nights Spurs v Liverpool game. Looked quite concerning.
-
Professor Alexis Jay, who led the inquiry has been in the news this week saying that her recommendations were never acted upon.
-
Pity he's never been the Leader of the Labour Party. He's make a good PM.
-
The Tories should have implemented the findings of the grooming gangs inquiry but didn't act on any of the 20 recommendations put forward, despite being in power for long enough. Now they are shouting from the rooftops for yet another inquiry. It's just an excuse to kick the can a bit further down the road and not actually do anything. The UK has previous for these long-drawn out scandals. Hillsborough, Post Office, Infected Blood, Grenfell Tower, to name a few. They all take far too long with no improvements made and the victims waiting for decades for justice and compensation. Those responsible are never brought to book either. Governments of all major parties need to stop wetting themselves at the word 'Racist'. The plain facts are that these despicable crimes were carried out predominately by Asian men on young, white, vulnerable girls. We do not need another lengthy inquiry. We need someone with a backbone to implement the previous inquiry's findings now and lock up the perpetrators'.

Any minute now.......................

Peter Crouch once said that he and other tall footballers looked like a horse falling downstairs when they played. Paul is reverting to type then.

I suspect you wrote this, tongue in cheek. If you have faith that Juric can give SR a kick up the arse and get the players we desperately need, then good for you. Personally, my faith in SR went some time ago for very obvious reasons. 20th place, 6 points and a goal difference of -32.
