  1. On Corberan.....it would be very SR to be waiting on a manager to be sacked Clueless twats
  2. Its not hate. Its being realistic with what we've witnessed so far. We got battered by an average QPR team and were very lucky to hang on. And as for yesterday, it wouldnt take much coaching to beat Wednesday. He may have potential, but he hasnt managed at senior level. We've tried the caretaker to permanent boss experiment previously with no success. Interesting though, Eckert was assistant to Patrick Vieira at Genoa. With Vieira now available we could see that pairing again
  3. Not sure what you're trying to prove comparing win ratios between managers in different divisions. Between a manager tasked primarily with avoiding relegation in the hardest league in the world, and another tasked with gaining promotion at a club expected to running for it. Either way, its unlikely that O'Neil or Carrick will get the job, but we'll see
  4. Wednesday are absolutely dreadful. QPR battered us for most of the 2nd half. Seems like a nice fella, but TE is not the direction to take. Go and get Solskjaer
  5. Been told he wore a blue tie
  6. Just think our fans hate appointing UK managers 😂. We would much prefer an exciting european unknown, who after some quick wikipedia and athletic research, will tell us we've got the best young manager going
  7. Conveniently leaving out the period between where he led Schalke on a record run of 18 games without a win. Also took over Young Boys who were going for their 4th title in a row, but was sacked when they were 15 points adrift. So yes, we would be in for some disappointing years if we appointed him
  8. Carrick - I've already covered. He has managed at one Championship team. In his last two seasons he led them to 8th and 10th. Hardly inspiring Hasenhuttl - I personally dont think he would come back, particularly not in our current situation Corberan - might be an option, but hes still in charge of Valencia for now which might put off SR Robins - same as Corberan. Personally see SR moving for somebody out of work right now Wagner - hasnt done anything of note since taking Huddersfield to the PL about 8 years ago Carsley - would be a good option but needs to adapt to club management again GON brings experience of managing not one, but two PL teams to good finishes. Again, I dont think hes an amazing option, but hes certainly not a bad one
  9. All this crying about GON, yet the alternatives being suggested on here are either worse or completely unrealistic. Carrick has managed at one club at Championship level. Rodgers is not coming to us We are just outside the relegation zone in the Championship, yet we're turning up noses up at a manager who has managed in the PL and was approached by a PL team this week. Is he a great option, nope, but there arent any great options out there. He also left Pompey nearly 20 years ago
  10. Not doubting, just querying. Thanks for sharing
  11. Thats a long time to resolve personal terms. If true, would definitely take O'Neil over Eckart, Carrick or Martin
  12. Solskjaer anyone?
  13. Kept Bournemouth up with a great run to finish the 22/23 season. Also led Wolves to 14th which was decent considering the team they had. We're also a struggling Championship team right now SR could definitely appoint worse, and probably will
  14. Pathetic performance. On the plus side, hopefully that means Eckart wont get the job
  15. Anybody you do like? 😂
  16. Blackmore wouldnt know. Could be an obvious option though with his Championship experience, would be respected by the players and most importantly is available now. Somebody else actively looking a job and ticks some of those boxes is Steven Gerrard. Some of our fans might not like it, but beggars cant be choosers and hes coached much bigger teams than us
  17. Some really lazy names being thrown out there by the media, bookies and our fans - Martin - not happening O'Neill - would be suicidal from SR Hasenhuttl - not happening Adkins - wise up fs Lampard - no mission he's leaving Coventry with them sitting pretty Was thinking Steve Cooper, but didnt realise that he took the Brondby job in September. There arent many attractive options right now. We might want to buy our time with the international break coming up again after next weekend. Somebody better might become available by then, but its a risk
  18. Could get his boots back on though. Still better than what we have in CM
  19. Wood, not Woods I've also no issue with players giving a bit of shit back
  20. Really liked his appointment at the time and thought he could be very good for us. I also like that hes brutally honest in his assessment of our performances and our current position. But ultimately the performances havent been there. Some of these players are a shower of bastards to put it nicely, but the buck stops with the manager. Insisting on 5 at the back no matter who we play, the Stephens sub last week and the lack of creativity gives me no confidence that he can turn it around. We need a safe pair of hands right now, but I'm not even sure who that should be.....and I doubt SR do either
  21. We need a win and I think we'll get it. 2-0 Yes theres been a lot of player turnover and a change in our playing style - but its nearly the end of October. No more excuses, lets kick on and start moving up the table. Need to win to stay within 7 points of the leaders. I'd go with.... McCarthy Jelert THB Wood Manning Jander Charles Fellows Azaz Armstrong Archer
  22. Im not sure if this is serious or not... I said success, not won something. At the end of the day we have won one proper trophy in our history. Koeman was the better manager - he led us to a 7th and a 6th place in the PL and got us into Europe. Thats success for a club like ours. What success did Branfoot have?
  23. Well managers are usually judged on success....
  24. His dismal PL record and failure to get a team promoted from the Championship on two attempts would suggest otherwise. He has got Coventry playing well though
  25. Cant have been a surprise that Pompey got in our face, were physical, were direct and just tried to stop us playing. Yet we had no answer. Too slow and ponderous in the final third, too many hopeless high balls up the pitch or into the box. Set piece deliveries were pathetic too - lost count of the amount of times Manning couldnt beat the first man. I must have watched a different game to those who said that Fraser was one of our best performers. Its the same every week from him - he doesnt have the pace to beat a full back, yes he creates a half yard to get a cross but its nearly always a loopy ball into the box which is no good for anybody. We have Scienza and Robinson out that side so he shouldnt be getting a look in. It was always going to be a scrappy game but I expected so much more from us. Willing to give WS the benefit of the doubt in that hes inherited a team on its arse confidence wise and we've alot of new players to integrate. But if we havent closed the gap to the automatic spots after the next 5 games then serious questions will need to be asked
