If its true that he insisted on us spying even after being warned that it was against the rules, then yes he is unhinged and needs sacked
-
I say that because we dont know all the facts. I agree it is a very weak defence, and yes the manager should be aware of all rules - but as you say it is shared at the start of the season i.e. when Will Still was in charge. I'm sure whatever internal investigation the club is running will find out. It will likely not matter when the FA bans Tonda for 3/6/9/12 months and maybe another reason why the club will wait for the outcome of that
-
On reflection, I think the club are right in letting the anger simmer before taking a decision on Tonda's future - although conscious that the FA banning Tonda could make that decision very easy. He had us playing the best football that we've seen in sometime. If we had've just been deducted points/fined then nobody would be calling for his head, even with a playoff final loss. How informed was he about the rules of spying in this country? If it comes out in the wash that he was told by those around them not to do it but still ordered it, then he should be sacked. But what if he wasnt aware of the severity of the offence and thought it was merely bending the rules? Then thats more damning of those around him. Yes the manager should know the league rules, but he was thrown into the position mid-season.

McBurnie 😂. Yes he scored against us when we were shit, but hes average tbf. We would've beaten Hull, lets be honest. Thats what's even more annoying, it was all aligning for us to return to the PL and then its gone in an instant
-
Exactly. Even if we had've lost the playoff final, I was excited for a full season under Tonda in the Championship. Hero to zero in a matter of days. What a fuckin shame
-
If Tonda and his backroom team arent sacked by 9.00am tomorrow, I'll be very annoyed. Just leave their belongings outside the gate. And so begins the mass exodus of players too. Scienza, THB, Peretz, Larin, Charles, Jander and Downes will be straight onto the lawyer/agent. Fun summer ahead 🫤

The most pathetic of all this is Boro claiming that justice has prevailed. They couldn't beat us over 210+ minutes. It wasn't a one off game. Sky Sports claiming they've been 'reinstated' - they were never in the final to be reinstated. Feel for Hull, who are seriously disadvantaged having to change preparations for a new team now. If they lose on Saturday there would surely be grounds for a legal complaint given how this has been handled by the EFL

Spying on Oxford....fucking hell. I can accept Boro and Ipswich due to the magnitude of both games (still incredibly naive of us), but fucking Oxford. Its being reported that Tonda is holding his hands up and didnt realise the practice of spying wasnt allowed in England. Like come on! Just pack your things and fuck off out of the club, take Spors with you on the way

For a knee ligament injury, he done alright to play for another 45 minutes
-
THB and Ayling were talking and hugging later in the game so it couldnt have been too discriminatory what was said 🤷
-
Boro did absolutely nothing from the 60th minute onwards. Were out on their feet and hoping for penalties. We didnt create much but it didnt matter in the end
-
Yeah there was a ball available which Stephens tried to hand to Targett, but instead he wasted time by walking down the line to the ball boy to ask for his ball. The ball boy said nope 😂
-
The keeper we've been linked with time and time again. No thanks, we'll keep Peretz
-
I think we should go with a strongish team vs Preston. Rest a couple, yes but there's a good chance we can still get 4th as I dont think Boro will beat Wrexham away. Better to have the home leg 2nd in the semi final
-
We had 12 points after 13 games and were sitting 3 points above the relegation zone. I, like many on here gave us zero chance of making playoffs. The fact that we're even in the conversation for 2nd is truly remarkable. Ipswich will get over the line, but we're the best team in the playoffs. We just need to make sure that we turn up when it matters
-
Even if we come up short, neither of those two teams are worrying me should we see them in the playoffs. Think Milwall would cause us the most difficulties, given how direct and physical they are
-
Just seen Milwall's run in - Stoke (A) Leicester (A) Oxford (H) Doesnt get much easier than that fs
-
The last 10 minutes of the game was a bit of a joke. Both teams happy to take a point and just let Coventry pass it around at the back
-
All we can do is win our remaining and see where that takes us. The fixture congestion will not be easy
-
Cyle Larin was excellent, and has been for a few games now. The deadline day doom and gloom is looking rather silly now. Hes been an inspired signing

Sometimes you just have to win ugly. Something Saints teams havent done in a while. Another clean sheet to boot too. I was very critical of Tonda at one point. Thought it was another loony SR decision which would fail. He has proven me and a lot of others wrong. Regardless of how the season finishes, he'll be here next season and I'm excited what he can do when he has more time with the team

For once working to our benefit. There have been other Goztepe players who we should have considered, like Romulo and Juan
