Please come back

Where did I say I want us to get relegated? Im just a realist. Where did I say we would win lots of games? I said it would be above our current win rate which it 100% will be
-
Bazunu KWP DCC Salisu Perraud Lavia JWP Sulemana Alcaraz Walcott Adams However we all know there will be a place for Elyounoussi
-
Why? The PL, VAR and all the other shite that comes with it is as dismal as our home form. Next season we've new teams to play and likely a win percentage about our current 20% to look forward to. Whats not to like
-
Still dont see three teams worse than us. Maybe two if im biased, but unless somebody else hits the skids we're gone. Tbf after the shit show served up in December and January, I thought we would be 7/8 points adrift so kudos to Selles and the team (and the teams around us being terribly inconsistent too)
-
Was it even possible to recall Tella? I thought for loan cancellations either both clubs had to be in agreement (i.e. Bednarek where it wasnt working out or if the player picked up an injury lasting most or all of the loan term), or if we had a flurry of injuries and needed emergency cover (applies more to GKs). Neither applied to Tella so not sure it was as straight forward as some make out. Perhaps MLG could return to shed some light

15 players will not be leaving us in the summer. I'd be surprised if it was double figures and thats including Walcott, Ely and Willy who are all out of contract
-
Hes not like JWP who's performances and long standing commitment to us makes him deserving of a move complete with our well wishes. Hes under contract until mid 2025 and unless Burnley or another club fork out a sizeable fee, he'll be plying his trade in the Championship again next season
-
Given that two different managers (with two different styles) dont think hes good enough to even make our bench and hes hardly pulling up trees with the u23s either, then its likely the issue is with the player. Either his fitness isnt up to scratch, or he doesn't understand the press or something else. On the face of it, another wasted January signing along with Tall Paul, Sulemana and Bree. Only Alcaraz proving his worth so far. Have we ever had a good January window?
-
Where in my post did I say he was more injury prone than a 30 year old? Even though hes had his fair share of injuries. Just read what Selles said about the team selection - "Some can't play 90 minutes every three days. It was a no-brainer." That obviously included Lavia - so his fitness is obviously an issue....
-
Be some giggles when we go down and get replaced by Luton going the other way
-
The only cheats I saw were those in white and red. Been cheating us fans all season long
-
We've now played a game more than most around us. The same Brentford that Everton beat at the weekend. Earlier in the season is a terrible yardstick to base our season on. We're still absolutely horrendous.
-
While we may have slightly improved under Selles, his spell in charge has been one step forward, three steps back. So frustrating, so inconsistent and ultimately we're facing the inevitable (although we have been since Jan). Two PL goals during his 5 games, one from open play. Pathetic doesnt even describe it. What a wasted opportunity to build on the result at the weekend. But then again what a waste of a fucking season.
-
He hardly does it for the sake of it. There has been a problem with Lavia's fitness all season - relying on a kid who's previous experience was under 23 football was always a risk
-
You feeling ok 👀
-
Yeah thats what done it for me. Can accept his COVID views as there were alot of people who shared similar opinions, but the Ukraine stuff was nutjob material
-
Wouldnt know, we've barely seen him
-
Makes the goal we conceded against Leeds even more bewildering. Was a total clusterfuck and nothing like how we've defended under Selles
-
Lol have been since January
-
Pretty sure its our own dismal form that will kill us. Our terrible results during our 'winnable' games run under Jones will be our ultimate undoing. Just accept we're getting relegated like alot of us have and other teams results wont annoy you as much 👍🏻
-
Remember the excitement on the Orsic signing thread. No doubt theres a very good player in there given his exploits in the CL and on the international stage. But it reflects badly on our recruitment team that we signed somebody who doesnt seem ready for the PL nor a good fit for our style of play. Jones got widely criticised for not playing him and now Selles isnt playing him either. There must be an underlying fitness issue or an inability to grasp our press and style of play. Hopefully he'll return to the first team fold and prove his worth, but early signs are not good
-
Eh? I said ' we could be left with a void of 10/11 players', meaning we would still be left with around 20 players, not 10 🤦 Add a few new signings and you're in the mid 20s for squad size which feels right
-
Imo... 75-100% chance of being sold if we're relegated - JWP, KWP, Lavia and Salisu (given his contract situation) 50-75% - ABK, Sulemana, Diallo and Che (last two out of contract in 2024) Less than 50% - everybody else other than those out of contract Out of contract - Willy, Elyounoussi, Walcott and AMN end of loan We could be left with a void of about 10/11 players, which potentially isnt a bad thing if we're looking a reset. Also, athough relegation will leave us in a weaker negotiating positions, our best assets have quite some time to run on their contracts - JWP, ABK (2026), Lavia, Sulemana (2027)
