Selles will be back coaching in Spain or the likes next season. Think hes now realising that hes not cut out for this management malarkey. More wonderful foresight from our board
-
Just a tragic team and a desperate season which we all cant wait to come to an end. Says it all when those getting good minutes today (and some for most of Selles' spell) included McCarthy, Bednarek, Lyanco, Djenepo, AMN, AA, Elyounoussi and Walcott. Most of these players weren't good enough at the start of the season (or last) yet here we are.still persisting with them 😡
-
Checked out of this season after the Brentford defeat. Only thing I'll be cheering for is somebody hitting Jacob Murphy a two footer around the head
-
Stop doing it to yourself

The warning signs were there when talk of Selles being well liked by our pathetic squad surfaced. Yes you don't want a manager that is hated (Jones to a degree) but these fraudsters don't deserve a say on who they do or don't like/want. Wouldn't be surprised if Ankersen lapped it all up.
-
Jones was right to start fighting with some of these cunts. Their lack of effort or care is infuriating. Some of them are on 80-100k a week too Even had the nerve to walk round with a pathetic clap at the end like they actually give a fuck. I actually hate this team more than any Pompey team

In no particular order..... Grimsby at home Forest at home Bournemouth at home Wolves at home Villa at home Everton at home Brentford at home Palace at home Brighton at home Newcastle at home Leicester at home (yes we won but we were pish) Brentford away Villa away Fulham away Leeds away Have I missed any? Just a catastrophic season from start to finish (as well as the last 3 months of last season). When I think about it, its much worse than 04/05. At least we looked like we could score a goal or two back then. We're god awful in the final third right now
-
We're selecting a new manager....not players
-
We wouldnt have been as bad under Nathan Jones tonight....thats how hopeless we've been under Selles. No tactical clue, starting with no strikers in a must win game - just shambolic. Massively out of his depth. Some coaches should just stay as coaches
-
Outplayed and out fought by Bournemouth and Gary fucking O'Neill. Thats how bad its become. Well at least all those fans who were holding onto false hope that we could actually get out of this mess (let alone score a fucking goal) can now agree that we're down. What an absolute spineless, gutless, ball-less, pathetic, shocking, abysmal, atrocious, shambles of a team and club. Apart from Lavia, JWP and Alcaraz....I wouldnt give a flying fuck if the rest of the squad was sold/released. Remember when people said Ruben Selles was the tactical genius behind Ralph. Honestly, Nathan fucking Jones would have picked up more points if we kept him in charge. I feel sorry for him because hes another manager out of his depth and that rests with SR. Were Rasmus and Semmens there tonight? I hope the fans near were giving them both barrels. The epitome of failure. We were actually ok when they came in 18 months ago. Now look of the state of us. If Dragan has any care about his investment these two dickheads would gone by now.

If Wilcox is being consulted on our next manager, and given our obsession with the City Group, I wouldnt be surprised to see us appoint Patrick Vieira. Both he and Wilcox would be very familiar with each other from their time in the youth development setup at CIty. If he was willing to drop down, we could do alot worse, although I'm not sure what style of football he played at Palace. Yes Hodgson has lifted them, but there were some positives under Vieira last season. Would he be a positive appointment for attracting players or retaining players?
-
We're down. Have been since December. These other games have no bearing on us
-
Fairly sure that Jason Wilcox will not be charge of identifying our next manager. Unfortunately Ankersen will likely be deciding that
-
Just an observation. And sorry to go all MLG on you but Saka scored 90+1 👍🏻
-
You support Southampton, we dont attract 'top keepers' so not sure what point you're trying to make. That shot easily beats all of our previous 4 keepers - Forster, McCarthy, Boruc and Davis
-
Go watch it again. It was a great reaction save. The fault lies with us dropping so deep in the last 10 minutes. Our midfield was literally on our 18 yard line. Theres inviting pressure and theres that
-
Blaming Bazunu for the third goal is crazy and I'd suggest watching it back. We were dropping so deep and the initial shot came right through Lyanco and he made a great reaction save. Could do nothing about the other two goals either
-
We were 3-1 up in the 88th minute. Stadium was mute and Arsenal players were frustrated. Only one PL team would pish that away this season and we support them. We need every fucking point and we threw two of them away
-
And it was like being back at the WC, where the hell did 8 minutes come from? Ref was determined to fuck us over
-
No balls. Just sums our season up. The sooner we get to the Championship and rid ourselves of most of this hateful squad the better. Fuck off Selles
-
Not so much PL clubs, but he may be offered a job in the Bundesliga or La Liga. Better options than the Championship, but who knows
-
Dont need a calculator to work out that we're done. Just look at the state of our lineups and style of play. We lost to Grimsby never mind PL teams. If we reach 30 points I'll be gobsmacked. Manager-wise I wouldnt be surprised to see us revisit Jesse Marsch. The main reason that the negotiations broke down (as with Leicester too) was the length of contract. Rasmus seems interested and we will likely offer a longer deal now we're relegated. Whether Marsch is willing to drop to the 2nd tier is another matter
-
I definitely don't recall being upbeat after Redknapp and his assembled group of merceneries took us down. We knew that 75% of them werenot hanging around. This season has been tragic but I still think the foundations/youth etc are in a good place. We just need a good manager and a good window (as proven by Burnley). A big ask with Rasmus overseeing both decisions no doubt
-
4 managers in the one season, dont think even Watford managed that. We dont have a last hope of survival. Selles' appointment was sheer desperation but bringing in yet another manager would be tragic beyond belief. Plus who is there available at this stage willing to accept a relegation on their CV. Hopefully all efforts right now are going into identifying the right manager for next season. They need to have had managerial success in a top league or at least achieved promotion from the Championship. Opting for somebody like Carrick if he fails to get Boro promoted is like appointing another Jones. His playing career has no relevance
