We won't be keeping Gomes (or Miles) They're both getting national attention already and only 15. Could be another JJM situation.
-
Reckom this will get to general sale? The awkward time, 4k allocation and a recent trip there would lead me to think it might. Fingers crossed at least.
-
As far as I understand, you can bring in as many as you want but can only name 5 in a matchday squad.
-
It has been announced by the club. https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/thierry-small-recalled-from-st-mirren-loan Be amazed if he came back here to play. Over-inflated sense of his own ability has seen him fall away. Couldn't even get in a Port Vale or StMirren sides in his recent loan spells, and despite relegation, wasn't even given a chance in 1st team training in the summer.
-
Injured in terms of playing time. But more concerning is he's out of contract in the summer. The fact he hasnt signed up when others have (Dibling, SAA, Ballard etc) would suggest he's been offered one but has rejected or stalled. Be gutted to lose him.
-
I'm not watching. Just following all you good chaps on here and Twitter. Bit tiresome seeing constant criticisms of the same old players, game in game out.
-
Ah, Stephens & Manning the scapegoats today then. We must always have one. Smallbone is on the bench, so he might be a contender later on to complete the set.
-
Burnley won't sanction a move to us for Benson. Does Dragan have a daughter we can use in a #FreeBenson instagram video?
-
The same Morgan Whittaker who was bombed out of Swansea by Martin? Looks a real talent, bur Martin didn't want him around at Swansea.
-
How he was kept out the team for fucking Sulemana is a mystery. Quality player.
-
I guess it's because we gave him a long term contract back when it looked like he was making inroads to the 1st team under Ralph (circa 2020, maybe?) He, rightly, probably doesn't want to give that up and other clubs probably can't match it.
-
Vokins couldn't get in a Woking team in the conference last season. He's also 23 (I think) and doesn't even train with the 1st team. That speaks volumes. I'd be utterly astounded if he ever made an appearance for us again.
-
Simeu is a long way off featuring for anyone. Suffered a nasty achilles injury in the summer (just before a loan move away) that was set to keep him out for the majority of the season.
-
Larios is the great mystery. Last heard, he was injured (again) in September and was back in Spain recovering. Noone has seen, nor heard about him publicly since. Small is never going to be good enough. Ego far outweighs the talent there.
-
So once again, we desperately need a striker. Sport Republic, come on, get it right for once. 4th window in a row now we've needed a decent striker. Out of 4 transfer windows they've owned us for ... that's impressive
-
Probably Pelle. Even Ings took a whole season to get up and running with us properly.
-
Well Done Sport Republic. Another fantastic decision made by the imbeciles who own the club. Honestly, in what world would anyone sign off 10m on a striker whose just coming back from a serious injury? Particularly when said striker couldve been available cheaper in 6 months time (January) due to his contract running down. Slow clap to SR. Ps. This is nothing against Ross. Gutted for him.
-
Neither are any great loss.
-
Back in training soon (maybe even today?) according to his insta.
-
He had a loan spell at Woking last season. Couldn't get in their team, we recalled him in January and he's been here ever since. Doesn't train with the first team and barely plays for the u21s. Weird, he was considered quite the prospect once upon a time.
-
Isn't it amazing to finally have some decent options all playing well. Gone are the days of (a pre-Villa loan) Bednarek, Lyanco & Salisu stinking the defence out.
-
He'll do a Jimmy Morgan. Go to a big club and get lost in the system as a number.
-
Always gets injured this time of year. Think he fancies the winter off tbh. Expect him back about Spring-time.

Saints 4 actual goals vs 0 Blackburn - Match Thread

I remember going up to Ewood in April 2005. What a throughly miserable day that was. -
It's such a shame that both Ballard & Doyle have suffered injuries this season, when both would have been expecting to push on.
