Stephens, Smallbone & Charles. The boo-boys will certainly have their pick of whipping boys tonight.
-
It's really no different to Wednesday - Saturday which is a lot more common and accepted.
-
Sorry I've got kids to look after. Id be there if i could. Guess I'm just a lesser fan than you. My apologies. Utter cretins those who booed by the way, but as a lesser fan, my opinion is null and void.
-
Well no fucking shit, Sherlock. Do you think it's acceptable to boo a team off after 24 games unbeaten? Because that's just sheer entitlement.
-
Apparently the team were booed off at half time? Morons.

Don't be too disappointed at the lack of the famous Anfield atmosphere, though ... most overrated atmosphere in football.
-
Like I said above. Bale was signed on professional terms for their first team... not an academy scholarship. That's the key difference. Meghoma was signed on an academy scholarship.
-
Well, he is. He was signed on scholarship terms (thats the key for me), and he's played in our academy ... it is possible for players to be part of more than one academy. They don't have to have been here since the age of 8 to count as an academy graduate. Doyle & JJM - they both went straight to their respective teams on professional terms, so bit more of a grey area but it wouldn't upset me too much if their fans did that, knowing that they've finished off their development in their academy sides. Bit of a moot point though; neither of them will ever play for those teams.

Dibling

Enjoyable 2nd half. Dibling is some player, that's for sure

Surman, Paterson and Martin return as coaches, Chris Allen U21s

Fantastic to see some of our own coming back. Okay, Lancashire & Paterson weren't great for us really and were forced into the side, and Martin wasn't really an academy player, but it is good to see people who know what it takes to play for us passing on that knowledge. Good to have people around like that. -
That's right. He didn't want to leave and was really upset to, wanted to help us back up etc, but he knew the money Wolves paid us would keep the club afloat so he reluctantly went for the good of the future viability of the club. Absolutely fantastic to see him coming home.
-
The fact that he's now torn has contract up at both Everton & Saints, whilst not making inroads to a Premier league first team as he expected and then failing out on his lower league loans ... either he doesn't have the ability his ego thinks he does, or he has the talent but not the application. Strange career already and only 19.
-
I honestly thoight he'd be one of the first out the door last summer. And I wouldn't have blamed him at all. Far too good for this level. He went from the edges of the England squad to the championship in 6 months. With seemingly no complaints about staying, and buying into what we're doing. What a man. What a footballer. Lucky to have him.

Jones v Selles in a match could be interesting. No love lost there if the rumours were true
-
Nico Lawrence has just been recalled from his loan at Colchester. Admittedley he was recalled after being injured all season and has only just got fit again, but still. Not sure if he's the answer, but could be a (last-choice) option.
-
If we lost, say, Bednarek to a long term injury and had to start using Holgate again regularly ... we'd have to sacrifice one of our other loans from the matchday squad. So we'd be fucked in multiple positions should that happen. Ideally he'd depart, but whose going to want to come in as 4th choice cente back? Tough gig.

Farewell, my sweet prince.
-
Gutted about Alcaraz. Genuinely. But, a combination of him not getting in the side, struggling with the language & losing his spanish-speaking mates (Lyanco, Willy, Ruben etc), plus the lure of a big club - I understand it. But I'm still gutted.
-
I imagine they're waiting on tv picks before confirming the final date.
-
Very tight turnaround, particularly the logistics of posting thousands of tickets in our postal system, considering the match is either next Tuesday/Wednesday.
