I see Loftus Cheek is only a sub.
-
Lemina doesn't do full games.
-
He doesn't need to go for the other corner if he hits them like yesterday - no keeper in the world is going to save those.
-
Just watched MOTD. The two free kicks from JWP were stunning. If he can regularly get the ball up and down like that then there is little defending sides can do if we win free kicks just outside the box. He obviously practices hard and it seems he has developed a very reliable technique - let's hope that is the case. The move leading up to Ing's goal and his strike was pure brilliance. Three magnificent goals and Jan's header wasn't too shabby from a JWP assist.

Bale scores what will probably be the winner.
-
Ask the bin dippers if they wished they'd beaten Villa 4-3.

Overall more good than bad with some superb goals to give us a four nil lead. The loss of Bednarek shifted momentum as Stevens looked very rusty and with him in defence we began to look uncomfortable. These momentum shifts can really change games as proved in the Spurs, West Ham 3-3 and at least we got across the line and secured 3 very valuable points so the result was very good. Yes, we would all have liked to win 4-0 or more but this current crazy football isn't like that. We're sitting 3rd so everyone must be delighted with that. Rather than moaning about the three goals we conceded our thoughts should be on the injured trio and, with luck, they will be not serious particularly in the case of Ingsy who we cannot do without. Well done lads.

Great to put one over on our bogey team especially as they sit top of the league. Their arrogant fans expected to stroll through this game and batter us so I'm sure they will be completely shell shocked not to mention gutted. Well played Saints and Ralph in turning a bad start to the season into a good one.

Jose must learn from this - don't bring on Bale when you are leading three nil.
-
Is Jose still smiling? Brilliant! Serves the cocky north London yobbos right.
-
Need to match their physical approach as they are clearly not adverse to clogging the opposition as Liverpool found yesterday. Could be the influence of Duncan Ferguson.
-
On the field for only a very short time but still managed to be in the right place to steal the ball from Chelsea and it was then worked to Bertrand who was fouled for the free kick leading to our late equaliser. A huge impact in such a short space of time and whilst we cannot view this as proof that we have a potential star in the making it is certainly encouraging.

Just watched the highlights again and I'm not sure we are giving Che Adams enough credit for his goal. The speed and determination he showed in keeping the ball in play has to be applauded and he then still had the mindset to pounce on the loose ball and drive it into the roof of the net. Sure, Chelsea were sloppy but the goal does not happen without the speed and sheer determination of Adams.

Well if he does enough to warrant us offering him another year then he will have to be prepared for a major wage cut unless someone else is willing to offer him more. Players can't expect to keep earning 100k as they get older and, if Theo is sensible, he will surely accept that.

Well played lads, brilliant result against the London billionaire show ponies!
-
Southgate is clueless.

Very good performance from Danny Ings topped off with a great goal. Also a decent cameo from JWP who was very neat and tidy and played some good crisp passes to get England on the attack. Excellent night for our two lads. Some real dross in this England squad though.

I think Ings and Walcott could make a very good front two and might compliment each other to cause plenty of problems for opposition defences. Walcott still has quite a lot of explosive pace and should be able to utilise this when we win the ball back with our aggressive press. Ings is a very clever player who knows instinctively where to run. Both are good finishers although Ings is obviously the better of the two. My hope is that they can develop a good understanding quite quickly. What I don't want to see is Walcott stuck out on the wing - this was the case for a big chunk of his Arsenal career and he is not suited to that role as he tends to drift out of games for long periods whereas he thrives on being involved. Potentially this pairing could produce a lot of chances and goals.
-
Hopefully Ralph plans to use Walcott through the middle with Ings rather than out wide where he is far less effective.
-
He'll need to start on the bench and earn his place by coming on and showing what he can do.
-
Don't get this idea that Walcott signing is risk free - if he comes we'll be paying him 50 grand a week.
-
Sounds as though that is it as far as in-comings this window. Ralph said he hoped for two and assuming Walcott is one I'm guessing the other was the Man Utd full back which is not happening.
-
It is a position in the squad taken up so doesn't matter whether a loan or transfer.
-
Getting rid of some deadwood only to replace it with more of the same. Madness. Rather go for Gerad Deloufeu from Watford who appears to be going to Udinese on loan.
-
Don't see Walcott as a game changer coming off the bench. He takes long enough to get into games when he plays from the start so to expect him to make a dramatic impact off the bench is clutching at very thin straws.
