  1. Everton fans can't wait to get shot of Walcott to some other suckers.
  2. I don't think Walcott adds anything to the squad. Even at his best he was little more than a player who had the ability to run quickly with the ball at his feet. He's never been a great finisher, tends to drift out of games for long periods and has absolutely no footballing brain. Not for me.
  3. Don't forget the mighty Man Utd 🙂
  4. Not totally sold on RLC. He's quite neat and tidy without really having the skills to get people off their seats/sofas. Don't think he is that great in front of goal either. A tad over rated IMO. Would be glad to be proved wrong if he comes.
  5. Also, by all accounts he is very good at tackling and winning the ball without committing too many fouls. I think, if true, this is a massive plus.
  6. Read on one site that RLC has never been the same since a bad injury despite Lampard claiming he is as fit as a fiddle and ready to play. If true would explain why they are happy to let him go out on loan.
  7. Have never seen anything special in Barkley other than odd flashes.
  8. Looking like it is going to be a long season for Fulham.
  9. 3 points however we got them was what mattered tonight. You are never going to get a classic game of football against Burnley. Makes a welcome change to put one over on them.
  10. With West Brom leading against Chelsea we currently sit bottom of the table.
  11. I suspect Vestergaard would be a disaster in a side playing such a high line. Although Burnley lost to a very good Leicester side yesterday they showed more than enough to suggest this is going to be another tough game for us.
  12. This situation reminds me of the film Moneyball so here's hoping a run of defeats is followed by a record breaking run of victories.
  13. Those odds will shorten quickly if we persist with this ultra high-line.
  14. Nothing much the midfield can do if the defence is set up so high that a ball into the space behind catches us out. It happened for all four of Son's goals. Should have learned from the first and adjusted to stop it happening again. To allow it to happen three more times is frankly embarrassing.
  15. This is on Ralph I'm afraid.
  16. Ralph has seriously lost the plot. We do not have the players to make this ridiculous high-line system work and will take some hammerings until he changes it. What was wrong with the system that saw us play so well after the lock-down?
  17. Win 4-0 tomorrow and we will move up to 5th - albeit temporarily 🙂
  18. Still not a single drawn match. Weird!
  19. We move above Man Utd in the table 🙂
  20. And we thought we were bad against Palace!
  21. This side/squad is nothing without extreme fitness and the ability to run and compete with tenacity. To come back so obviously off the pace after just a short break shows a lack of control by the management and a lack of discipline from professional footballers who should know better. The Prem League is relentless and unforgiving and those who start off playing catch-up face a long uphill struggle. Our optimism has vanished and our worries that we have not recruited well enough look to be well founded. Ralph and the coaches/fitness team have a massive job on their hands if we are not to sink into a relegation scrap. Would also like to know why we seem to be playing an even higher line than last season - it doesn't work and leaves us hopelessly exposed as already proved after just two games against opponents we should expect to beat.
  22. I think he damaged a false eye-lash so could be out until the New Year.
  23. Unusually not a single Prem game has resulted in a draw so far.
  24. More like Everton thinking 'we dodged a bullet there'
  25. Latest comment from Spurs fan, 'Hojbjerg, another sideways passing twat'. LOL
