  1. People that ask me if I have finished the work that I am doing... If I had finished then it would be 'on file' FFS
  2. Finish sometime before 5pm on Friday and not back until 5th Jan
  3. Tonight: nothing Tomorrow: Usual Saturday Sunday: Usual Sunday
  4. But its not just a case of having your phine switched on. You cant plan to do anything, i.e visit relatives etc in case you are called out, so effectively you are at their disposal for the day. if it were me I would want at least paying the going rate for each day they would want me on call plus extra for each time I am called out. If they contracted it out they would have to pay per day for the contractors anyway
  5. I was an angel in my primary school nativity... and then years later progressed to playing the part of a mad inmate in Sweeny Todd. Not quite sure what they are trying to tell me! My youngest had his first nativity last week and was one of the shepherds. Did really well apart from pulling faces throughout and swinging a toy sheep round by its tail
  6. I have no problems with assisted suicide for the same reasons as above. This documentary, which is being shown tonight, is really close to my heart, as my Nan died, aged 64, form Motor Neurone Disease back in 1984, when I was 12. My only real memories of her were of her suffering, not being able to eat, drink, or talk, hooked up to a machine for almost 24/7 yet being totally aware of everything. Seeing her cry because she could not be a normal grandmother to her 4 grandchildren will live with me for the rest of my days. Although very sad when she did finally die, knowing that her suffering had ended made me feel better.
  7. They are not actually contacted, its up to him to put in a claim.... if he doesnt know about it....! unless of course he already had it, but they said they will let me know before trying to claim half back from him because of the problems it will cause Neither of us were higher rate tax payers which is good. As i dont speak to him I dont have to give his NI number they said that they will find it themselves Of course
  8. Well I phoned but for some reason they have no tax code for me for that year!!! Have to write in to find out. Also dont know if it was claimed under my ex. they wont tell me but I need to give them as much info as I can and they will look into it. I cant ask him to ring as if we dont speak and if he found out we were owed money he would grab the lot. So fingers crossed.

  14. Mine is expensive as my middle son's B'day is on xmas eve and my bf's is this saturday. And with 3 kids this time of the year is not cheap. I hhad to cut back last year due to splitting with their father so this year will be much the same as last for me
  15. Woolwich
  16. Have checked and I get the full cut
  17. The interest rate has been cut by another 1% taking it to 2% http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7764741.stm I am very happy being on a tracker mortgage
  18. i know i thought that when I first looked, but when you see what is included in the price it is very good. the kids even get their very own invitation to see Santa sent out to them in the post before they go. Also you have to pre-book and there are limited places each day. When you look at everything they do to make the day special I think it is very good value. Also deoending on what day you go the prices do vary slightly
  19. Sounds very familiar, although so far the lights have survived, but the tree is normally on the ground or at an odd angle when we get in from work / up in the morning. And i have lost count of the amount of baubles I have put back on the tree over the years, although gets a bit much when the eldest cat wakes you during the night with one hanging from his mouth wanting you to play with him. Tinsel normally ends up hanging off the tree with bits scattered over the floor. They also love to investigate the presents once they have been put under the tree on xmas eve night, clambering all over them (with 3 kids there is alot) its like there own little assualt course.
  20. I remember reading that they had planned to call them Faith and Hope because of their condition, a few weeks ago. Very sad that one one has died. RIP little one
  21. I am planning on taking my boys there next year as friends of ours have been and said it is excellent.
  22. I would if it wasnt stuffed full of the ex's possessions cos he has no where to put them.
  23. :-k You may have a point there
  24. Friday: Didnt have to move doors that the bf had bought as for once he had managed to put them where i wouldnt fall over them. Quiet evening watching tv. Saturday: Shopping followed by housework and chilled in the evening. Doors never got hung as the electric planer was throwing out sparks and there was a very strong burning smell coming from it! Sunday: bf working all day so did the mountain of ironing that had appeared. Took kids to their dads for the day and managed to get the kids xmas present which is under my bed hoping that my youngest cat doesnt decide to start sleeping under there again (hasnt for the last month or so), as one of the kids is bound to want to get him out and then find the xmas present. 5/10
  25. lol sounds very familiar. I love it when my youngest tries to negotiate time... i'll say "5 more mins" he'll say "2 more minutes" lol not actually realising that he is giving himself less time
