So, the TV crews were very near the ‘Ultras’ so could hear it there. So it pretty much did happen. And no, I doubt all fans in the stadium did it, and doubt all of them are racist. The white players were abused, but not to the extent of having monkey chants aimed at them, that is something that is aimed towards Black players. Just because white players had abuse, it wasnt racist, just more vitriolic, whilst not nice, is nowhere near as bad. It is in my opinion absolutely correct to call our the racist abuse for what it is, irrespective of white player being abused. Im not black, but can understand a little how that must feel, and having some very close friends who are, we often talk about this stuff, have done for years, and it has helped me understand the issue better. If it were as simple as ‘well white people were abused too’ argument, then why did some of the crowd have to differentiate between colour, aiming monkey chants? Why couldn’t the black players get the same abuse as white players?

Yeah I’m sure he will be at fault for some, and I totally agree it is a clean slate. We are likely to be paying more salary than he used to get, but maybe not as much as we were paying Vesty, I’m not de facto on that, but can see that maybe being the case. And again, so what, good luck to him. I dont think I have ever reduced my salary when ive been offered a new job, not sure why footballers, unless they are hurtling towards the end of their careers (thinking Theo etc.) should be any different.

So one player isn’t alone responsible for shipping every goal a team concedes, and I also thought he was not wanted as he wears the even a regular in a side that shipped so many goals. I also think he is duly responsible for industrial era global warming, and for the monkey chants that never happened in Budapest last night. Wow, what a guy our Lyanco is. Out of interest, what salary was he on in Italy, and what do we know he is on now? I mean, it is possible we gave him a rise, and so what? We wanted him to come.

The other thing the net spend table doesn’t do is demonstrate wage savings - i would think you could add an additional £10m this year at least on wages saved. I think the outgoings this window have been good and long overdue, but still disappointed with CM and GK, although I get why the latter wasnt resolved. Also was hopeful of Long going on loan, but stuck with him for another 9 months or so. Still think we have enough to stay up, and looking forward to this season and next summer window. I wonder if we try to get Sam Johnston on a free then…
