  1. I fear the extremist religions in play won't be conducive to this happening.
  2. Is that because it was on Friday?
  3. I'm not sure sog's Mrs's best mate's daughter will be the most reliable source for how peaceful or not the demonstrations are. I'm assuming the met police will want the aggressive, larger cops on the frontline if it kicks off and the dwarf officers are likely to be elsewhere looking after cats that are stuck up trees and shit.... Although I'd be very surprised if everything is peaceful - demonstrations tend to attract counter demonstrations which invariably leads to the odd bit of violence or two.
  4. Definition of statistics : 1 : a branch of mathematics dealing with the collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of masses of numerical data 2 : a collection of quantitative data https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/statistics#:~:text=1,a collection of quantitative data The league table is a collection of numerical data, presented for analysis. Ergo, the league table is literally the definition of statistics....
  5. Not being able to celebrate when Wales lose!
  6. Shots on target are factual - the shot is either on target or it isn't. Saves ratio is also factual - the shot was either saved or it wasn't. I agree that xG is subjective.
  7. Phew, that's a relief. These must be just a coincidence I guess. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-67102528
  8. What on earth are they then?
  9. Especially not at home.
  10. Are you sure? Some 'statistics' for you : Played 11 won 5 scored 17 Let in 21 Points 17 10th in the League They seem pretty poignant 'statistics' to me and outline what has happened in real life. Unless you've fallen for the club's bollox about not paying any attention to the table, in which case, why is anyone here??!!??
  11. Indeed. Where's @Tamesaint when he's needed to point out the needless 'digs' from posters and grass them up to the mods?
  12. Cowardly terrorist fuckers that choose soft targets, usually schools, to become 'martyrs' and live in eternity with their virgins! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-67101089 Why don't they grow some balls and carry out their knife attacks shouting about how 'God is greatest' at an army barracks or the local police station? If you want eternity with virgins, you should have to fucking earn it! Hopefully he'll be rewarded with the fat, ginger ones (When he pops his clogs, assuming he's done enough now?).
  13. Then there's the atrocities in Qatar that the FA willingly supported allowing our teams to play in the World Cup. It seems the FA is only interested in virtue signalling when there are shillings coming their way....
  14. It's probably more obvious that the FA is running scared that it might make them a target, especially on this 'international day of rage', combined with the anti-semitic protests that have already happened alomg with many more planned. But I can see how the subtle nuances have passed you by as ever.
  15. Calais is the most likely destination at the moment, then on to good old blighty.
  16. Virtue signalling?
  17. Record profits for Shell, British Gas, Scottish Power, BP etc etc, but we need to raise household bills to stop them going bust! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-67087043 Ofgem seems to have forgotten that it exists to protect customers rather than 'big business'.
  18. Indeed. But also Parliamentary rules it would seem.... https://www.parliament.uk/about/how/elections-and-voting/general/hung-parliament/ Also, 2.12 here....
  19. Wouldn't that be a majority?
  20. Isn't the alternative if no party gains a majority, that the ruling party stays in power? That seems like a fairly big bargaining chip if so....
  21. Unfortunately, religion is involved. Rationality and reasonableness therefore goes out of the window. Has done for thousands of years and will continue for many more!
  22. NJ had one that worked perfectly - not in our favour, granted, but worked none the less.
  23. I'm sure I heard a peice on the radio last week where the LDs said they would not work with the Tories again...
  24. So far, I don't think Starmer has done / said enough to sway the swing voters. He hasn't really made any concrete promises (pretty much sums up modern politics). I think the Lib Dems will be seeing a massive increase winning the 'anyone but Tories' vote which Labour seem to be relying on....
  25. Firstly, I'd just like to ask if everyone is OK? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-67071668
