  1. According to the article I linked to, the Met police (the organisation that she is in charge of) already knew this would happen and informed Wembley. Armed with that information, what she (personally) could have done, was ensure there were enough police resources available to police the large number of people who had had a few beers and stop them from illegally forcing their way into Wembley. A novel approach I guess but not beyond the wit of man/woman.
  2. I've not condemned anything out of hand. We could wait a couple of years for an enquiry (Hillsborough anyone?) or base a preliminary judgement on what we already know...
  3. Aren't racists already banned from football stadiums? What is the 'extent' of the problem - I've no idea if I'm being brutality honest, although it looks like a tiny minority of idiots posting shit on social media because they can and because it gets a reaction / over reaction. How is Johnson going to ban the racists posting from anonymous accounts hiding behind IP maskers? Sounds more like soundbite platitudes rather than vindication of the campaigners....
  4. Surely 'reasonable people' aren't the ones who need to improve, otherwise they probably wouldn't sit in that category?
  5. Does she get another free pass for yet another high profile event that went to rat shit on her watch? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-57841689
  6. I assume you've either missed or blatantly ignored the irony of posting that you manage without social media on a football forum which is, essentially a social media platform.
  7. Absolutely. Once upon a time we used to take a stand against countries who persecuted their own citizens : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Apartheid_Movement A simple statement from the FA stating that in the current climate, we cannot support Qatar and it's systemic use of labour abuse and exploitation and are therefore boycotting the World Cup if it goes ahead in that country, should be more than enough to show that we are a country that takes persecution seriously and not one that just pands to popular opinion. https://www.amnesty.org/en/countries/middle-east-and-north-africa/qatar/report-qatar/ Won't happen though as money talks....
  8. Really? Hundreds descend on defaced Marcus Rashford mural to decry racist grafitti - Independent Love in the face of hate: Mancunians leave hearts and messages on Rashford mural after it's defaced by racist - Manchester Evening news Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they were called at 2.50am on Monday to reports of the racially aggravated damage to the mural. - Sky.com Protesters take the knee by Marcus Rashford mural after it was defaced with racist graffiti - Daily Mirror There are plenty more but I think you get the point that your claim that it 'wasn't reported as racist abuse' is complete horseshit!
  9. Rubbish! They've done the bare minimum and could do plenty more. Abusive behaviour (not just racist abuse) continues to run amok on social media precisely because there are no repercussions for those that do it.
  10. It comes as absolutely no surprise at all that you missed it, but there was no spelling mistake. "an loon" (sic), "thinks he clever"(sic), "thick a mince"(sic)
  11. Another tragic fail. The thread was split from the main bored and would have been done by the mods, probably Lighthouse. But good job you knocked one out in your excitement.
  12. And as if by magic, Uefa honour his contribution https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57788267
  13. Maybe we could go to VAR?
  14. Doesn't take much.
  15. Not my suggestion, just one I highlighted. Carnival suggestion March 2020 Carnival and Sheraton April 2020
  16. Victims of their own hide and seek successes?
  17. ??? From the article posted:
  18. That's so upsetting, it really is. Maybe I should go ballistic and pull out the 'wingnut' name calling (For Whelk's benefit [/sarcasm] as he'll probably miss it again )
  19. I watch all sorts of TV - Netflix, Amazon, Sky, BBC, ITV. I pay my TV licence and would continue to if it became optional, providing I got value for money.
  20. The jet man picture shows a man in the sky. He isn't walking, swimming, rowing a boat or driving a car, he's flying. Ergo, despite Antrim's claim, there is indeed a flying man in the sky!
  21. Incorrect. You are breaking the law by watching TV that is screened live (as opposed to 'streamed'), without a valid TV licence, regardless of whether it is broadcast by the BBC. Theoretically you can have just ITV on your TV and still be prosecuted for watching it without a licence.
  22. I asked first. You're a stickler for people answering the question, so answer the one I asked...
  23. Is that or is that not a 'flying man in the sky'?
  24. What about this one?
