I do hope everyone is kind to the officials. They are jus doing their jobs for the good of the community. In a way, they are just victims of their own profession. Lol
-
Nuno should make a generic sub now, flip the back five and find a way back in the game within ten minutes of the restart. No way will they be that crap for the 2nd 45. We should have put them to the sword.
-
Wasn't she the one who annoyed Leeds when she said she thought they benefitted from project restart? I think that is 100% right. Same for us, that reset allowed us to come out at 100mph and have a cracking end to the season.

Goal!

We are the only team trying to score while they defend in numbers. This was always going to be a tough ask. No point singling players out already. Keep plugging away, and then Ralph needs to make a brave decision on the hour mark if its no happening. Happy with our work-rate, and the new boy doing just fine. We go this.

I hope he keeps things calm and eases his way in. Far too many eyes on him tonight waiting for the expected drama. Just do the simple things and try to enjoy your debut. Welcome MS. -
Beat them four times that season, they must have been sick of the sight of us! But I must say, that night was my favorite. Leaving the ground all singing 'on our way to wemb........' Something very pure about those days, not like now.

We just desperately need competition for places. If FF can make Alex up his game then mission accomplished. I see no benefit in writing off FF and have him sitting it out on a massive deal with no chance of even enticing suiters. Giving him the chance right now, makes perfect sense. I hope he does well.
-
Personally I'd be really happy to see FF challenge AM for the position. If we get a good display on Thursday, then I'd say the big man has earned a crack at number one spot. They are in competition, and Alex needs to know this more than ever. No time for sentiments, people will question the gaffer if we keep conceding and losing, time to be ruthless.

Just doing his job. I keep hearing this. But he's not just doing his job, he's doing it in such a dreadful manner that the football is lost & his performance is the main talking point. He is so dreadful, that outraged people on forums are going bat-shit. Then a couple days later, another game with the same mistakes, more people are getting angry and posting profanities in his direction. Then another game, and another cluster of mistakes. We watch his wrong decisions get over-turned by the governing body with no statement on the impact of the decisions. No contingency on the future. And no apology to the trampled clubs he has affected on this match day. Then some mug with too much time and beer goes on the window to the world twitter and acts hard while sitting in their underpants and suddenly all the mistakes in the build up are lost, all the lack of accountability gone in a haze. We must all support this guy, just doing his job, his life is under threat. This is just the new age of burying news, become a victim. No matter how awful you are at your job, no matter how many mistakes you make, everyone just jumps to the defence and the point is lost. Richard Masters should have come out with a statement a week ago, explaining the over turned decisions & the plan going forward. Then this would not have become another debate about censoring social media. Oh well, carry on, same next week.

All I'm seeing this today is the football world mourning Souceks red card, in the very last minute in a game it had no bearing on. Where the hell is our outrage? He is responsible for another historic defeat, never is that a 9 without Deans incompetence. And in the game previous to that he altered the outcome entirely. Where is the statement from the governing body, where is the apology, where is the accountability? Perhaps VAR should check the validity of his death threats today.......................
-
West Ham will appeal against Tomas Soucek's controversial red card in Saturday's game at Fulham. The Czech was sent off in stoppage time during the 0-0 Premier League draw after catching Fulham's Aleksandar Mitrovic in the face with his elbow. Soucek pleaded his innocence and Mitrovic told referee Mike Dean his opponent should not be dismissed. However, after being advised to review the incident by video assistant referee Lee Mason, Dean sent Soucek off. Once this gets over turned the pressure on him will be insurmountable. The end is nigh.

No injuries, no suspensions & not being screwed by var. If we had to lose today, then a least we can cling to that. All in for the cup game, then rotate for a rest. Season hinges on Thursday now.
-
Outstanding. I was hoping for two things from today, a win and Mike to thrust himself further into the spot light. Made me wait a bit, but that is a nice runners up prize. He has just ramped the temp up more, and now our decisions might well get a mention as used in evidence against him.
-
Only 17 mentions of the 9-0 so far. Not heard much about the refs display though, which is strange, as that's what made that result. Doesn't even sting now, just feels like an injustice where we get to put it right. Lets put these mugs to the sword, we owe them for the robbery of last season.
-
Really looking forward to this game. Time to put to bed two of the worst games from the last ten years. I think we are going to witness beast mode tomorrow. No fatigue, no dwelling, just fast and furious to put things right.
-
Instead Martial will always be tarnished as a cheat. ------------------------ Agreed. Even after AJ was sent off, there was some pretty dubious behaviour from Utd. Harry Maguire was going over looking for free kicks. All the while in the knowledge the guy running the middle was a complete coward with no regard for the game. For all Utd's pedigree I have far more respect for City, they seem to have a better understanding of the unwritten rules. I'll be happy with them winning the title this season, while the others cry with heir massive GD.
-
The way he gleefully brandishes red cards, I'm surprised a player hasn't lost it with him. They truly are professionals, I'd be off in a police van! I think he'll be disappeared by the league now, in a subtle manner. Be a shame that we don't get one more outing in the stadium for a farewell, but I think its for the best.
-
Indeed. Its just the what might have been stinging a little at the mo. We were super in 2020, and no-one can take that away. But just before, and this patch after, well its been a slog. Happy to sit on 29, best safety net ever.
-
Since our return to the big time, we have actually cemented quite a few all time EPL records. A lot more than our previous 20 odd year stint. A couple of big ones would be the fastest ever goal & quickest hat-trick. Fairly confident those two will never be beaten. There's also a few that will be broken over time, like being the only team to score five goals in the first half, and 5 in the second half in the same season. But last night a young man added one that I'm pretty sure will hang around for years to come. To be sent off on your first start in the league after 79 seconds, that is impressive. The only way that gets beat is if Mike Dean has you on the spread bet! Any other worthy mentions?

Time to start spreading a covid story and get this shit postponed. Anyone else been out for some much needed fresh air today and ran into all the local big six fans you haven't seen for weeks, who just desperately want to chat about all things football? Yeah, me too. And as for Mike Dean, your time is running out, he'll piss off a bigger club than us soon and it will signal the end of one of the worst refs the game has ever seen. I want to add some profanity to this post, but instead I'll say, don't dwell on last night, focus on something else today, there's enough bad stuff out there eating at us at the moment to allow this to worsen your day. Up The Saints.

We're not too far from full strength, so I am expecting to be competitive. We will be missing five key players. We have been pressing teams a lot better recently and they will not like that especially if Pogba is playing. We looked knackered by the end and Paul will start. We might need to ride our luck again cos they will play through us just as they did at St Mary's. The only luck we have is bad luck. We had Vesty & KWP in that game and were not very good despite scoring twice. We had Vesti and KWP and still conceded three goals to them. I hope Jankewitz is as good as he thinks he is I hope he's as good as his agent thinks! and that whoever is played at RB (Kayne or Djenepo, I don't think it matters) get forward at every opportunity. Stay back, DEFEND! Mike Dean will be itching to give us a pen... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm 🤣🤪😅

Anyone else listened to Ole complaining about ref decisions this morning? Oh my, I feel we are being trolled by the whole damn world now, when will this end!!!!!!

Only a drop in profit will make the powers that be do something about it. And I can't see there being a massive drop off when you look at the tv money right now.
