Its a big shame that this awful patch we have entered (2021) has coincided with the academy being at its very thinnest. The problems we have suffered with injuries have really shown us in great detail all the youngsters coming through, and its not good enough, sadly. If ever there was a club that needed a complete overhaul its us.

I don't think we got away with it. I think we just been gifted the one mistake we didn't need. I have never seen so much media coverage of a var mistake. I thought it was over the top last night, starting at the HT interlude, but now we are the flag ship of var's beneficial decisions today. Peps statement was damning, considering they won at a canter. Someone else piped up that we seem to complain a lot about decisions recently, but also get the lions share. A dozen games with seemingly nothing going for us, and now we get this one stapled to our bloody forehead. Unbelievable. We need to ease KWP back in. We all know that he has become the most integral part of how we set up. We can't rush him back from injury and start grinding him straight away. Give him a week, lets keep him fit for the remaining games. I'm all for heavy rotation in this one.

He was superb last month in their 2-0 win over Everton. He looked injured at the end and was still running around protecting the lead. Amazing energy levels, outstanding commitment, massive contribution. The boy must have a mental issue to have so much in his locker, and deliver so little so often.

Good to see Fraser getting some praise. He's definitely a confidence player, so that could bode really well going forward. I really enjoyed having KWP back in the side yesterday, he makes such a big difference for us. I lost count of how many times he dribbled out from the back in the first half, and that's so refreshing to see,. He looked shattered after the hour mark, which was to be expected. If we can keep him fit, then we may well have a enjoyable low scoring not conceding too many end to the season.

Tinge of excitement for today. Not had that for a while. Hope the line up is as good as I think it will be.

Regardless of what happens this weekend, another all time stat will be claimed in midweek v's City. A team with the worst form to face a team with the best form. The league has never seen such a vast contrast in form over ten games as this fixture. Easy win for the Saints then. 😆

With the form we are in, we have to be wary of Fulham. Our confidence is at rock bottom. They can move out of the relegation zone tonight, that is incredible for a team that was wrote off a couple months ago. If we can get a win and crawl past 35 pts, I'll happily cheer them on over the others down there. Very brave sticking with Parker.

Score some goals, beat Shef Utd, and we are on for a enjoyable end of the season. Anything else and we are firmly involved in a fight with bottomed out confidence. Come on Saints, put it to bed.
