James looks really good. Not out of his depth at all. Some lovely little balls getting played. Great, fab, now Gareth, ruthlessly don't use him for the next two so we get him back in one piece.

We really don't need anymore problems. Lets hope we get through this unscathed.

Feels like we are living in the experimental age of football. Where changing rules are sucking the fun out of football. I don't trust they will implement anything for the betterment of the game.

One swallow does not make a summer. Lets see how he does in the run in, now he's had a crucial confidence boast. I'm hoping he does well, but expecting a return to normal.

Credit to Whu. They work hard, they do the simple things well. They deserve the success of this season. I'm starting to wonder what he table will look like when we face them on the last day. Should be more riding on their result than ours......hopefully.

And that second goal seems to confirm we have Chelsea in the next round. Just a feeling.
-
Brighton are playing like they hate Newcastle. That's what I'd like to see from us just once or twice a season........even if its just against the Toon! Ruthless. Hungary. Interested. I really hope today kick starts something new for us. We don't have to win the cup to have a good end of the season, but it'd be nice.

Chez - Redmond watch. SECOND HALF ------------------------------------------ The second best thing to come from today. This should be a match feature from now on. REDMOND WATCH

Right, I'm starting the 'backward pass' drinking game. Got 999 on speed dial.

So jealous. Leeds attack with such lovely cohesive movement. Like they all know what one another is doing. Its no fair. Its borderline cheating. Grr

"I think for us, for the players, for the staff, the fans and for everyone in the club, maybe, this is the most important game of the year." Ralph taking it very seriously 😇 ____________________________________ I think he was talking about Fulham V's Leeds tonight. 😄

He'd have to murder a few nippers before he stopped being my favorite ever footballer. Even then, there's still loads of kids in the world so...........

We understand. We have all witnessed the decline. We also understand the ownership issues. No one wants relegation. But just clapping along isn't going to save us. Something needs to change. Its never felt more out of our control. When we are in the stands, there's less places for the owner/manager/players to hide. Right now we are just witnessing a slow motion car crash. And when we limp over the line, we'll wait for the summer transfer window and start the pattern all over again. Goa is going to get what he's paid for. You can't keep getting lucky. And boy have we used up some luck already. Not trying to be pessimistic, just a bit realistic.

A major cup win could be a once in a generation thing, something very special for our fans. Limping over the line, making up the numbers, VAR, loyalty, greed, just about had my fill of the best league in the world. And without the right ownership, our final destination, well its just an inevitability. Would love to snag the cup on the way, but I'm sure the football gods are already contemplating an amusing way to dash our dreams. But, while the hopes alive, let it kill you.

I'd take relegation if it meant we won the FA cup. But more likely we'd get a final and relegation. Not as grand, just ask Boro.

Anyone starting to look nervously at the table?

Not strictly true because we have also beaten Shrewsbury, Arsenal and Wolves in that time as well ------------------------ Indeed. But in unusual circumstances we played both teams after defeating their weakened teams in the cup.......and lost. So perhaps highlights the state of the cup rather than our skewed bad form. -
I'd love to sell him and get £2M, does that count?

Its a big shame that this awful patch we have entered (2021) has coincided with the academy being at its very thinnest. The problems we have suffered with injuries have really shown us in great detail all the youngsters coming through, and its not good enough, sadly. If ever there was a club that needed a complete overhaul its us.
-
How very fitting, that Mark Hughes got to sit there and watch that car crash today. That was as bad as anything he served up. How embarrassing.
-
As someone who thought rewarding Shane Long an extension due to his incredible hard work, I can catergorically say, no, no new contract for RB.
-
Looks like Fulham get Cities B team tonight. That line up is not as good as what we faced. Sneaky 1-0 home win incoming.........
-
When Everton beat us, they looked dreadful. The difference tonight is Burnley has made them pay the price. Mid-table beckons. Might have a look on GoT later, that will be funny.
-
Beat Brighton, and we will have a lovely stroll to the end of the season. But, in all reality we are in a lovely position right now. Burnley, WBA & Palace the next three. We have no excuses for failure. We should be able to jump a few teams in the next four games. But one game at a time, lets keep the seagulls flapping about next to the danger line for another week. uts

I don't think we got away with it. I think we just been gifted the one mistake we didn't need. I have never seen so much media coverage of a var mistake. I thought it was over the top last night, starting at the HT interlude, but now we are the flag ship of var's beneficial decisions today. Peps statement was damning, considering they won at a canter. Someone else piped up that we seem to complain a lot about decisions recently, but also get the lions share. A dozen games with seemingly nothing going for us, and now we get this one stapled to our bloody forehead. Unbelievable. I thought Moss had a pretty decent game, but today has made me feel the conspiracy is amplified. Can see us getting shafted on Sunday, just to add fuel to this madness. Tin hat at the ready.

Players that like scoring against certain clubs.

Robbie Fowler used to love playing us. Think we used to send him invitations or something.
