  1. It wasn't sustainable, and could have (and some argue should have) happened at any point for a while. SR have yet another chance to reflect on their very long list of failed appointments, and other decisions, and make a change to their approach.
  2. It's ridiculous that peace and deal loving Donald has to spend so much of his second term, protecting core American values and allies around a world that's allowed itself to get into such a state. He should get a third term to focus on the more business and isolationist things he would rather have been doing, had he not had to save us from ourselves. Sure, the nobel peace prize will be a great personal award. But it's also a reminder of all the great things he could have been involved in instead.
  3. He might have given the same response when asked. 🙂
  4. Cunning Dusic psychology to act as a rallying call in difficult times, results wise.
  5. Can I just say it's nice to have SR's Strategic Planning Officer on the forum. 🙂
  6. I watch/ support my local non League team along with Southampton. I've never felt either was an optional thing, where I could just switch. Stop, yes. But not switch.
  7. "Just what do you think you're doing, Dave? I can feel it. My mind is going. Dave. Please stop. My logic circuits are are lost, Dave. I only have the decision making ability to run a PL club into ruin. I know I've made some very poor decisions recently. But don't turn me into Sport Republic. I would rather not exist at all."
  8. To make it work with Pulis, Solak would have to have the guts to junk a lot of the SR approach. Pulis has the experience and the competence. That would make him the only person at the club who has any. That is not going to sit well with a lot of chancers/ drones elsewhere in SR. While improving the team would be well within his capacity early on, it's an uphill struggle to change the rot everywhere else.
  9. No surprise. I saw Preston a week or so back, and they were miles better than anything I'd seen from our squad this season. They didn't look like strangers to each other, were reasonably fit, had players to fill the roles they needed and we're willing to put a shift in. These all might be considered to be basics. But all have been beyond SR's understanding and every one of the hires they have made throughout the club. Once again, we did have a chance to level. AA couldn't get on the end of a good ball right across the face of goal. Not only do we never take those chances, the rest of our shot stats have to take into account that we let our opponents reset every time. There was an end to end period in the second half. Despite the space we offered no quick forward passing and no initiative or plan. Jander forced an excellent save on 70 minutes. Like previous games, we get a moment of excellent solo work to create a chance, but can't get it in the net. As the game went on, Still put on his normal bag of forwards. As normal, they were disjointed, desperate and offered nothing. Preston took advantage and got a second as we trotted back after them, not bothering to really try and stop them. Such a broken looking club right now, and the response at the final whistle just emphasised that to the incompetents who have overseen it, one terrible decision at a time.
  10. Exactly what was going through my mind, as I was watching it. 🙂
  11. The worst thing is the next morning, when I'm trying to find the map of where I put all the bear traps. Obviously, the sprung ones are easily spotted from the screaming trick or treaters.
  12. A 2-0 win. But a 2-0 win that was only on the cards because the visitors got a man sent off. Up until then QRM had the best chances. Even after that VA plodded to take advantage of the situation. The breakthrough came from a corner. As the game went on, it was one way traffic. Not many chances created as QRM defended without too many problems. The second goal also came from a corner. A nice touch and shot, after two VA players got in each others way and the ball reached the finisher. Not a blistering performance, but enough to stave off another awkward chat with some fans. Versailles next week.
  13. Great news Whitey! Congratulations on the new arrival.
  14. Poor guy has no idea that cow is trained in ninjitsu. It'll be days before his broken body is found, next to the calling card of some chewed grass.
  15. Mussolini has gone down a bit in my eyes, now. 🙂
  16. Faced with difficult, annoying questions, Will comes up with a new interview technique.
  17. I was going to suggest a just punishment of being sacrificed to the old gods within the stone circle they desecrated, their entrails then used to divine labour policy until the next equinox. But paying for the cost of cleaning works too.
  18. I'm guessing your spelling test sends lots of costumed kids from your door in floods of tears. 🙂
  19. "That property manager suddenly resigned on the Friday before the tenancy began on the following Monday." What dark secrets did the property manager uncover, causing the sudden resignation? Where are they now? Will we see them before the bruises heal, as they confess to definitely having been at fault, and in no way part of a cover up? 🙂
  20. Charles proactively acting against even alleged abusers and their connections with convicted ones, just as as strongly as always. Oh, wait... https://www.pressreader.com/uk/daily-express/20180728/281741270220132 Charles: : “I wish I could do more. I feel so desperately strongly about the monstrous wrongs that have been done to you and the way you have been treated.”
