As posted in the match thread… For those who are slagging off the likes of Dyche and Big Sam but backing Ralph, clearly aren’t watching our demise. 10 men behind the ball, 1 lonely striker with the ball being lumped up to him. no pressing, no plan. Ralph has basically become a BTEC Big Sam. Dreadful.

He’s young, he’ll learn, but That simply has to be saved.
-
Moi and AA off please, Stu Armstrong and Che on please.
-
2 very poor teams so far. Can see why both are looking for a win still.
-
Much like last season though, the service up there has been shite. Practically non-existent. we need some creativity in midfield, desperately.
-
Was never actually played as a winger for us. Always ‘in the 10’ or up top. will be really interesting to see how he does out wide in a front 3. Similar to Djenepo to be fair.
-
we had one who we sent out on loan and has scored 2 today already… just saying 😉
-
And there is our problem. It’s not the strikers, it’s the midfield. Far too slow on the ball and not enough creativity. Aribo is a start but can only do so much, we still need another AM.

Great finish. The lad has potential for sure, like the look of him.
-
Done very well then as well. Have to say, I prefer him there than up top. More like a 4231
-
Not one to blame refs, but he’s really not started well here. Given a few non fouls and not given Blatant ones. can see a dodgey pen given either way here.
-
0% of the ball, 100% of the man (late). Most obvious foul and yellow card you’ll ever see… Women on the commentary.. “what a great tackle”
-
Very much back to the 4222 it seems to me

1 win in 15…. Different coaching staff, new players, same results. Common denominator….. the alpine flopp. Get him out.
-
Maybe, but perhaps some of the coaching staff wanted to go for the win, rather than settle for a draw. The Alpine Flopp is overly defensive in his approach these days
-
Agreed. Looked quality today; especially going forward.
-
Correct. The screens are / were too big for the roof to hold. I’m not sure if or when the reinforcements are planned but from what I hear, it’s not a cheap process. A bit of a shambles really.

We don’t play to his strengths, as a striker. To get the best from him, we need to be playing more balls in behind. As a striker with his back to goal, he’s total crap. Wouldn’t mind seeing him on the left in a 433
-
It was a fantastic pass and I don’t think we have anyone else in the team who can thread a ball like that… however, people do love an overreaction don’t they. ”this boy is going to be a star” 😂
-
I think we saw the benefit of the backroom change yesterday. Continuous discussion between the coaching staff and Ralph, which ultimately led to good, correct subs. Had that been last season, I don’t think there is any way in hell we’d have come back from 2-0 down or made those subs.

Only after sitting in the CHAPLE END…
-
He’s terrible, worse finisher than Che. Gets loads of chances at Brighton and hardly takes them… exactly the sort we need to avoid
-
He’d be a good replacement for Che, I.e “second striker”, but I still feel like we need a replacement for Broja and one who can play on the shoulder / on the counter. Sorta what Armstrong should be doing, but better.

Just to play your best players, where possible, each week and not try and be smart. we’ve not got good enough player or management to try and be smart. Just do the basics.
