This is something that has been spouted a few times on here, but has no real substance to it. Jones was apparently targeted in the summer (according to a post on here at least 2 weeks ago. Way too random to name Jones if you didn’t know something), he’s clearly someone we have had an eye on for some time. I’d expect Jones to bring at least 1 of his own back room staff with him.

Christ, sounds terrible. Why would we not go for someone proven like Big Sam or Dyce if we don’t Care for style of play?
-
It makes the whole thing a little more insane, but I don’t think he’ll get pelters from Luton fans. They generally seem gutted but understanding
-
It’s all relative, surely. If we finished 8th next season, it would be an incredible achievement. If City finished 8th it would be terrible. Luton finishing 8th over achieving, that isn’t debatable.

Genuine question… is Jones any worse than the young bloke at Salzburg who was touted..? Comparable sized leagues, both successful in their said leagues. Difference being, Luton aren’t owned by Red Bull. The hipster Cult lives on. Had Jones achieved what he has done with Luton in Germany or Europe, people would be over the moon with his appointment.

What a stupid comment.

Underwhelmed, massively underwhelmed. However that being said; we were clearly heading for relegation under Ralph, so giving Jones a go is no bigger risk in that respect. And I was massively underwhelmed with Poch. Seems like the club have done the due diligence and Jones has been their man for a while, so I’m not concerned that we’re rushing into things. Seems to have done a great job at Luton, but cant say I know enough about him or them to judge. Hope for the best, expecting the worse. But have expected us to go down this season anyway, so no change there.
-
Have wanted Ralph gone for some time, but these constant snidey leaks to the media are a disgrace. Stinks of a power struggle at the club between old and new.
-
You’ll still have a few idiots claiming that he’s better than Rice, Bellingham or whoever starts CM in the WC. Extremely average and limited player. Very much our level. Should have sold in the summer whilst he had a degree of value.
-
As a few of us have been saying for a long time. It’s why he (Ralph) should have left a year ago, and probably why he falls out with every striker he has.
-
At least try to not make it obvious you’re a returning poster, MLG/TWar

AMN is a very capable RB. Easily the best choice of what we’ve got. Let’s hope Lavia is fit so we can play him there.
-
His point was; The best players from South America would go to Europe (Spain or Portugal usually), not the MLS.
-
I disagree with this, I think we looked poor as a back 4, but where I’ll credit him is Ralph changed to a back 5 after about 20 minutes, and all of those 5 were fantastic.
-
I was thinking about this, which is why I set up thread to discuss it. it’s difficult. One of my thoughts were; a. First time customers have to either pick up 1 day before the game or have delivered to an SO postcode. b. Only allow ‘members’ to buy tickets and price membership at a cost which will act as a deterrent for 1 time customers. c. Make every single first time buyer buy a match day kit, meaning the ticket price would be near on £100. If someone wants a ticket they’ll get one. We probably need to just make it more difficult or expensive for them to get one.
-
Perhaps fans around them need to take action into their own hands and give them a good old kick in, rather than running to stewards. We’re far too welcoming. Can you imagine an away fan jumping up celebrating at Millwall or the likes? Wouldn’t happen, if someone was stupid enough to, they wouldn’t again.
-
First 20 minutes aside, very good solid performance. Even if we’d lost that I’d have been happy. Battled and defended extremely well. Had Che been fit to start it maybe would have been a different game as AA offered very little. Back 5 all outstanding.
-
Seems like it happened again today, so the question is, what can be done about it? In the clubs defence, it’s not an easy one for them to manage or police who is buying the tickets. If away fans want to get there hands on tickets in the home end, they will.
-
He looked onside then, why didn’t he leave the flag down and wait to see the outcome of the attack, like they do every other time?
-
If Ralph rocks up at villa park, that would very much be a possibility I expect. Danny wasn’t a huge fan…
-
Incredibly simplistic way of looking at things. We went to a back 5 very early on, despite looking relatively comfortable. We invited pressure and on another day, could have easily conceded. We battled well and that was great to see. Adams was fantastic and set the tone, but Bournemouth were very poor imo. It seemed the occasion got the better of them, they looked more interested in kicking us in the first half, than trying to get on the front foot. For me, we won in spite of Ralph rather than because of him.
-
It definitely happened, I’ve got great hearing so hear a lot. I was sat round the in-laws eating a roast, whilst listening on the radio and I heard his voice in the background.
-
I don’t disagree with this. Still, doesn’t mean he’s right for us. We need a manager to get the best out of what we have… Ralph isn’t.
-
I think he’ll take another job in the future, but I think he’d be foolish to rush into another job, especially in the PL. He needs some time away to find himself and his style again. His intense nature must take it out of him. He certainly looks broken.

A bit like saying, “I’m autistic, I remember everything, it happened” as evidence of your claim. If there were boos at the end of the Huddersfield game, it could have been aimed at anything, the ref, the players, sammy the saint. “I heard boos on the radio, therefore fans wanted him out after 10 games” is a ridiculously weak argument.
