Think Ted. Markus and the old guard will have already had a wry smile, a little nod about teh boy doing good... cheers canada for rreposting that... must be the emotions of teh day as it left me with tears in my eyes rereading that... what a wierd, strange and wonderful 7 years, that were turned around by the 'it's just a modest investment, I think we can do something great there*' Gentlemen Markus and Nicola. Thank you both. * quote taken from teh article that appeared in a swiss newspaper shortly after Markus had bought the club.

...Funny that many thought WHU would pip us.... where the feck did Reading come from!

TBF, to finish 10 points ahead of 4th, kinda implies they deserve the third promotion spot... I think they really underestimated that quality of the league, but rather than focus on doing their thing as we did, even with the the hiccups, they have been constantly about excuses... divers, dodgy refs, or the arrogance that everyone raised their game at their place, as 'they are the biggest club in the divsion' - what did they expect, everyone to had them the title and bend over and take one like Brighton did ...? Arguably given teh squad teh have and what its costing them, they should have gained auto, so should Leicester, but it proves a simple point - and for me its why the Championship is such a great league - that in teh NPC you can still win and do well with a proper TEAM, where the spirit, togetherness and graft count for more than the individual quality of the squad... that is why Reading and Saints are at the top.

Yep - but its virtual as well!

Hi Linford - Hope you and the lad had a great day - Naturally - usually get down to Reading.... ( and yes our company sponsors them ... even has a box... arghrr) once a month at the office, so will try and work something out about heading down the M3 one evening. Would be good to catch up and be nostalgic about the last 7 years... especially having cycled 500 miles from boro to Southamption on the eve of being relegated by Man U.... a lot of water under the bridge since then. Cheers and enjoy the beers

He is the Drive and Ambition - sure he may not always get things 100% from a fans perspective, but that is alwys gingto happen when your focus is solely about achieving the growth and development - nothing will derail it. He has backed Nige, but remained realistic rewarding thoe doing the work, not just a few mercenaries our for a bigger pay day. Top Job all round.

Saints Promoted - Post Season Chat

We''l have to share a few virtual beers Alps - you must be emotionally drained after a difficult week - wishing you and the family all the best. -
Think we saw clearly today, why he uses those cliches - he's a decent,, honest, intelligent grafter, and he protects the team and himself from over emotion post defeat or win... the 'blue line' has been exactly that the way the side have bounced back after defeat and kept working away. Thoughout the season he has carried himself with dignity and he should be darn proud for all he has achieved - hope NC has a nic ebonus lined up for him - he deserves it.
-
Right Virtual pints all round - be in the Alps, Oz, Ohio, Jockland like me, anywhere in the UK or Sweden, Latvia, japan wherever... and above all those in the home of Football darn sarrf.... Beers are on me. Can's stop grinning

I have no problem with personal abuse - Turkish F*ck off - You and Dune aren't even fit for the muppet show - constant sniping, s******ing like school girls. I am sure you find it hilarious to wind up fans on here with your thick a sh!t comments, bigotry, desperate attempts to hijack most threads with your ignorant views - no wonder many no longer post on here. Sad **** that you are.

Will that be the same pompey fans that cheeered 'plastic' club's players such as Henry for ripping them a new one... and then use that praise of Henry and Arsenal to somehow justify their self proclaimed 'bestest fans status' by any chance? Their fans Have about the same attitude to bare faced 180 degree turnarounds as tabloid newspapers. TBH, I never have and never will give a flying feck about where we or they are in the football pyramid, seriously to me they could win the Champions league with us in L2, and it would not matter, as that way leads to obsession about other clubsm, rather than supporting your own, but why do they insist on making it so difficult to resist hating them?
-
Top Post - when put in that perspective I agree totally... its when we have the constant denial and chalenge to that reality that I get wound up by them. Prior to this whole issue, I was never in th 'hate' camp and know and respect several pompey fans who I include as some of the most decent folk I know through what they have contributed to causes - one of which was Saints related. For them I feel sad, but for the ignorant 'face' of their support I could not geive a flying... They seem deluded - they honestly dont see that some of the media and other club sympathy is only there because they hasve no idea as to the extent of the debt of which they have failed to pay a single penny of aoutside of the football creditors.....
-
... cue their few fans thinking this is fair and how their squad advantage is totally justified and deserved..... and they think its jealously why we hate them.... jeez

Not alot. Chinney and AA hold teh aces and voted down an amendment by HMRC to have the co liquidated for forensic iinvestigation and CVA transferred to new co - same as last time. Creditors agreed CVA is way forward (I think) so creditors committee set up to begin assessment of proposals by Administrator. No buyer yet NO real interest Cash only til end of May Chinney says will not allow club to be liquidated so in effect 99% likely to offer around 4-5 mil to pay of creditor debt (around 10p in pound) of which as the main creditor he will get about half back (seriously you could not make this up), Most likely his 'financial advisor (AA), will somehow get creditors to agree to CVA payments not having to be started until 2016 or something... meaning that chinney can get his hands on the parachute cash, and teh other 2 mil of his 'purcahse' would be used to satisfy the football creditors for teh time being.... in effect he could then if he so desires have the club in a position where they could keep hold of the squad, to get them promoted, whilst building up debt again based on the parachute cash funding it.... In effect, unless they are given another points penalty for the previosly failed CVA (for which the FL have no rule), they could potentially start L1 with a massive competitive advantage as the parachute cash will count tiowards revenue and this get them around the Fair play rules.... or put it another way, the DCSCs will not only have gotten away with it a 2nd time, but be perfectly placed to do exactly the same thing again and no one can do anything to prevent it.... expect them to challenge for promotion on the back of not having paid either CVA a penny.

West Ham can thrash Hull 15-0 and as long as we go about our game professionally and win as we should it will make feck all difference - just media and mind games, as they have nothing else to keep them occupied... best ignored.
