I dont think it was that simple from what was happening at the time. Mixture of Saints being cheap, the Sheffield Wednesday chairman been a loonytoon and I read that Rohl had was waiting on better options. I do think Saints should have gone all in for him though.

What a waste of season. I was looking forward to a top 2 finish but that looks highly unlikely now. Playoffs is the minimum. However Saints seem to be making a right mess of it currently. Be nice to get some consistency but we cant get that with SR doing their Venkys impression with shitty decisions across the whole club.

I was hesitant that it would be more dross today and it was. Not a good trend. Positives were Bragg and Matsuki and the clean sheet. Bazunu made a good save. Still first and now Tonda, really dont get the need for 5 at the back at home.

Yep, that is definitely another factor. Where is the urgency, fitness etc? All seems like a mess contributing to where Saints are now. I dont understand how people keep saying Saints have an average squad. Compared to the rest of the division that simply isn't true. If anyone thinks the likes of Hull, Preston or QPR have better players or squads they are deluded. The team and players, club and coaches are massively under performing. And poor choices I.e. manager choice, odd fixation on Bazunu etc have compounded the issues. That's the crux of it.

We'll hear about this for the next 100 years. Of how the bestest fans all voluntarily paid millions back to the club for watching the game.
