  1. Ah the classic. Saints should beat team x due to their injuries.....but somehow Saints never do.
  2. That was me. Yes agree, Jones did have a bit physicality to him even when he was raw and clumsy. Saying that he did progress well afterwards before he decided to strike and f off. I do wonder if Downs needs a season to acclimatise. Sadly that's not what we need right now.
  3. True that we'll concede but we've definitely got the players to go out and attack like we did today. On paper the front players bar Stewart are more than a match for the rest of the division in my opinion. Why not go out and try and get the goals. It DOES depend upon a solid midfield though and today we saw that in the first half. Be interesting to see how Saints do against Leicester.
  4. Have to disagree, after a preseason and 10 games why didn't we see the progression then? Transitioning from midfield to attack was much better today than anything this season. I liked Still but it wasn't working with him.
  5. Very encouraging today. Quick transitions is what I've been banging on about all season and that was on view today in the first half. Great to watch and see the other team on the receiving end. Fair play to him. Looks like he's used the international break to get his ideas across. Using Armstrong with the overlapping runners worked a treat.
  6. Bragg did well today. Like someone said, they didn't notice him and neither did I. Quietly went about doing his job and freeing up the rest. I was thinking Aribo should have started but can now see he ain't bothered. Tonda done well to get his ideas across. Nice to see the attacking football in the first half. We've had the players all season crazy that Still couldn't execute it.
  7. If he scores, you're a millionaire!
  8. WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!!!!!
  9. Not being funny but why cant people moan? This is a nice surprise and a semblance of a gameplan which is being used. Just hope they can keep it up.
  10. Blimey. Goal. At least I can see a gameplan already. Hope the players have the energy to keep it up.
  11. I'll repeat it. Fucking useless. Unbelievable
  12. Ah Wellington is Santos
  13. Sigh. A back 5 again. Fellows as full back? What happened to Sesay? He looked good in pre season, unless its contract related.
  14. 3 wins out of 3.
  15. None or little of which I've seen from Saints this season!
  16. FFS, if it is a back 5....why!
  17. Rasmus probably had Vitor next in his blackbox. In fairness to Lampard, he's done a lot better than I expected. Definitely the season to take advantage in terms of promotion given the current state of the three relegated teams.
  18. Someone mentioned Vitor Matos very early on and possibly in the summer as an alternative to Still. Swansea now looking at him. Will be interesting to see how he gets on if he goes there. Saying that it would be an appointment from the Portuguese second division. Which in the current circumstances for Saints probably not for the best!
  19. That could be an idea. Will send a message to those that follow, that you get a job in the army.
  20. Its an own goal, people will be waiting to see what happens.
  21. I meant in terms of stats, Saints were pretty possession heavy under Still. Whether that was down to Still or the players reverting to type who knows. It was a mess overall.
  22. I'm not convinced by the whole possession based view. Saints were doing it under Still as well and it just gives teams time to reset. Sick of it as to me it'll be very much more of the same. Players are gutless especially the defenders that are still here, so I dont see it working.
  23. Saints rarely take advantage of an injured opposition player or even half a first team!
  24. Think lower end premier league clubs would be looking at him by now. Started well this season too in the Dutch league.
