Yep, I agree.
-
It may only be anecdotal from my view but its definitely working. These are people with decent jobs and they hate Labour. I just dont get the vitriol towards Labour. Yes, they've messed up a few things but has it been to the extent of the last government? And is Reform really the answer.
-
I have friends who are seriously considering voting Reform already in the next GE. They'd normally vote Tory but seems to be a case of anyone but Labour if it stops them retaining in government. Its too early yet for myself on who to vote but a lot of people are disillusioned. Reforms social media, presence in the news etc are miles ahead of Labour and the Tories.

Get the players refreshed enough to push through this last game before the internationals. Come on Tonda, show us that you've done your homework on Oxford and figured out how to beat them!
-
Yes, definitely a good game for him. Very much a hot / cold player. Starting to become more consistent which is great. Hopefully has enough energy for Saturday.
-
Phew, pushed through there. You can tell the team is shattered with the current run of games but doing well with getting through. That was tough in the second half. Hope Tonda can rouse them again for Saturday before taking a break.
-
Done well. Hope they keep it up and as others have said, run at their defence as the Norwich defenders should be more cautious being on yellow cards.
-
Not good, Edozie was targeted last time as well. Hope he shows them up.
-
Really hope the players are up for this and they dont play like they did against WBA. Need to get fitness and conditioning spot on to get through the last few games. And have the right attitude (as per the Fulham and Coventry).

Is there an african nations cup this year?
JohnnyShearer2.0 replied to Roo1976's topic in The Saints
I wonder if FIFA would do that if a country like Argentina did the shit that Senegal did. -
Yep and sometimes good for both parties to get a clean break. Seems like he's doing well and enjoying himself. Before Tonda it was a mess here. And on paper of course most people will have Archer as a back up rather than Ballard who is coming back from injury. In hindsight anything can be perceived good / bad.

Definitely a handful of premier league teams would take a punt. Yes his scoring isn't there in the Champ but can see him improving that over time.
-
Sometimes?! More like loads of times!

I watch gogglebox time to time as a quick way to preview shows. Saw Mel C on there....damn she's aged well. A few years older than me at 52 but looking good:
-
In fairness to Juric and Rusk, plenty of the damage was already done. Dont get me wrong they were shit too but a semi competent manager at the beginning of the season would have made a difference in my opinion. Not saying that Saints would have survived relegation by any means but they could at least put up more of a fight.
-
Yep agreed. Saw a midfield three and thought he would try to nullify Coventry's midfield and worked a treat. Also helps that Downes is getting back to the sort of form from the last stint in the championship. Definitely need to figure out how to do better against teams who defend deep and like to counter.
-
Great result. Played resolutely and neutralised Coventry completely. Now need to bring the same again against Norwich. Played well and compact throughout. Downes starting to look like the player we had last time in the Championship.
-
Yes, great start. Good follow up from Downes. Fingers crossed they can do it. Big test now.
-
3 man midfield, seems sensible. I can this game getting fiesty.
-
He was on fire (IMO) in the last season of the Championship until he got mullered by the Norwich player. Hopefully gets back to that level and he, as others have said, will be a great player at this level. Very odd how he has been bombed out and brought back again. I wonder if he will leave or will run down his contract in 2027.

If we had started the season with Peretz and Larin…
JohnnyShearer2.0 replied to Toussaint's topic in The Saints
Depends would Still had still done the same? Seems like he really couldn't get anything across to the players and it was a mess. Same with Tonda, would he have started the season with 5 at the back....! -
I quite like the simpler newer terms like low block and transition. Use of language changes over time I guess as there are new sources of influences. Dont get me wrong, some is useless too.
-
Need to win tomorrow considering Wrexham beat Swansea and are 6 points ahead again.
-
Why do you think people believe Saints should play like Brazil? I think its more of a case of questioning why they've come up short against some real shitty teams / out of form ones (Oxofrd / Norwich etc) and producing a result. There have been some rubbish results under Tonda and Still. So is it a coaching question or players attitude? Either way I dont think its good enough.
