Where has that been reported?!

MP fast on his way to becoming a legend. Can't see many senior players leaving whilst MP is committed. We may still lose a couple but we may have sold shaw and even lambert had NC stayed...

If true, this is absolutely stellar news.

No it wasn't due to Strachan leaving, it was due to poor managerial decisions made subsequently, unlucky results in our relegation season and injuries to key players. I'm confident the repercussions won't repeat themselves. Seriously, the CHAIRMAN has left the football club - this is being blown massively out of proportion. Yes he was important to us, but the whole idea that the club has suddenly/is about to implode is just utter nonsense that the usual trolls on here are absolutely lapping up/revelling in.

I don't understand why everyone suggests that the club are going to flog all the players for peanuts. Clearly those who are suggesting this have next to no business acumen. Does everyone not realise that it is KL's best interest to get the best possible price?

I think MP will stay. There isn't another job for him to walk into at the moment and a lot has changed since last summer when he had only been here 5 minutes. Maybe NC's last act was to convince him to stay. If he were to go though, then I'd at least expect him (and any unsettled players for that matter) to wait until a new CEO is appointed. Who says we can't get someone equally ambitious? Its a real shame NC is gone and much more of a shame that he's gone in a window but he's hardly the only competent CEO out there...

He is, I would literally love to hear his reasoning. They aren't the ones who decided to pay transfer fees or give themselves large contracts are they? Honestly.

We will get 10 more points even with a few departures...

As much as I like MP - it is a bit much to say he's our best manager of the last 25 years! But hey, you're in the mood to over exaggerate literally everything today...don't let common sense stop you...

Until its confirmed by the club I'll take my chances. I remember it getting pretty close last summer and then that all turned out fine. As I say, nobody has any idea what is going on behind the scenes, so no use guessing. Feel free to see the worst possible outcome ahead of time though, it will only cause you stress.

Nobody is denying that, but at this stage NC hasn't actually left (or at least it hasn't been confirmed by SFC). I also think that jumping to the conclusion that MP and several of our top players will now leave is just assuming that the worst possible scenario will play out. Who knows what is going on behind the scenes? I don't think anyone really does, least of all the journos who are making the front page with this stuff.

Saint Charlie seems hell bent on seeing the absolute worst possible outcome in every rumour that has been posted today (notwithstanding the fact that most of them have been entirely discredited).

I rest my case, why post it if its not to be read into? Other twitter updaters clearly just copied this guy...

Excellent update from our stellar gang of on the ball twitter journos. Seriously, I hope this is resolved soon just to stop these utterly moronic updates with wild inferences drawn from absolutely no fact whatsoever.

If MP and some of our supposedly 'loyal' players leave after this I will be extremely angry. We showed them support and if they leave they will be deserting the fans. As others have said, they signed for Southampton F.C not Nicola Cortese F.C

Who is this guy? I'd be willing to bet that he has absolutely nothing to base that on...no doubt this guys ramblings will be reported as 'fact' by SSN in the next few minutes. Honestly, no wonder there is a sense of hysteria around the place every time there is a negative news report...

Not always. They could be at SMS for any number of reasons but as there is all this speculation then they can't possibly be any other explanation other than that they are going for a meeting with NC about his impending resignation.....

I think Cork is great and his distribution is miles better than Wanyama's. However, Vic does give as a lot more defensive protection than Cork as he doesn't venture as far forward. I am slightly puzzled as to why MP has been playing Jack in the 'anchor' position and having Morgan further advanced. I'd have played Morgan slightly deeper and Cork further forward.

Thought he was generally fine but Olsson should have been off and that free kick on Shaw was a poor decision. Only other comment was that I thought he handled the time wasting very poorly. Took him ages to speak to Foster and then didn't book him despite repeat offences. Then later in the second half Boruc took one goal kick a bit slowly and he marched straight over to hurry us along. Where is the consistency?

As if he is better than JRod.... I bet if most Burnley fans were offered JRod back in exchange for Ings they would take it...
